Theodore was not happy when he heard Madeline’s words. If they continued this journey, they would be confronted by zombies roaming the streets. Not only that, but Theodore knew very well that zombies beca more violent at night.

"I have sothing to ask you. Have you ever been off base?" Theodore asked Madeline and looked at her sharply through the rearview mirror.

Madeline chuckled when Theodore asked, "My group has never done a mission outside the base. But you know that we need to find the captain’s belongings imdiately."

"That’s true, but we’ll be eaten by zombies if we insist on traveling at night," Theodore explained while holding back his anger at Madeline.

"No matter what you say, I don’t want to waste ti. We need to find that thing as soon as possible," Madeline retorted with a smug look, not wanting to hear any more of Theodore’s ramblings.

Theodore also tried to be patient. He did not refuse Madeline’s orders, so they had to continue the journey. It’s just that Theodore still ordered Neville to find a safe place with his abilities.

That way, they would know where to escape if the worst happened. Therefore, Theodore still told Neville to find a safe place.

Unknown to Madeline and her team, Neville did what Theodore said. As Theodore drove the car and chose a safe path with Neville’s help, they were still secure.

"Look, those zombies didn’t do anything to us," Madeline said as she looked out the window. They were able to pass through the zombie horde safely.

After hearing that Theodore did not react, he preferred to focus on avoiding the zombies on the streets.

They started to enter the suburban area, and Theodore realized there were more zombies than before. Theodore thought that since there were more people coming to the suburbs, the zombies had followed them.

"Sis! We better take another road, it’s very noisy up ahead. I’m sure more zombies have blocked the road ahead," Neville quickly warned Theodore.

"Damn it. The problem is that it will be very difficult to turn back at this ti," Theodore retorted while gritting his teeth in annoyance.

The problem was that quite a few zombies around us were now swarming their cars this ti. It would be difficult for Theodore to turn the car around to take another road, but it would also be dangerous if they continued.

"Don’t mind what that boy says, keep going!" Madeline was not too happy when she heard Neville’s words interrupting their journey.

"B-but..." Neville rubbed his fingernails nervously as he heard Madeline’s words directed at him.

When Theodore heard Madeline’s words, he smirked. It seed like he should have taught Madeline and her group a lesson. Since she had spoken like that, Theodore also accelerated the speed of their car.

As Neville said earlier, there were indeed many zombies gathered in the middle of the big road that beca the border road to the suburbs. There were so many zombies that they could cover the road completely.

At first, Madeline didn’t believe Neville’s words, but now she could see that what the boy had said was true.

While Theodore did not think to avoid the group of zombies, he chose to accelerate the speed of the car he was driving to hit the zombie horde.

"What are you doing! This car won’t be able to hold them off!" Madeline shouted loudly at Theodore when she felt the car speed up.

But Madeline’s words were too late. After that, the zombies have shaken their car. Theodore even had to let his head hit the steering wheel when their car hit the zombies.

It didn’t take long for the zombies to swarm their car. Neville, next to Theodore, had to hold his head, which was in pain.

If it hadn’t been for Theodore stretching out his arms to hold Neville’s body, then it was sure that Neville would have suffered worse damage.

"Are you okay?" Theodore knew that Neville was still injured, so he made sure that his condition wasn’t any worse than before.

"Thanks to you, I’m fine. How is it now? These zombies won’t have any trouble breaking the windows of this car," Neville replied as he stared in horror at the zombie-infested landscape.

There was a noise from behind, and Madeline glared at Theodore.

"Why did I do that?" Madeline glared at Theodore.

"I only did what you told to do." Theodore turned around and looked back at her sharply. He was not afraid to fight her at the mont, considering that they were in a dangerous situation right now.

"Damn you!" Madeline could not argue with that because she was the one who told Theodore to keep going.

More importantly, they had to escape from the car if they didn’t want to beco the zombies’ food. Theodore himself was already thinking of how to get out of this situation.

"Since you didn’t listen to what we said, then you can save yourselves." Theodore turned his head back to look at Madeline and her group.

Theodore then turned to Neville. "Follow . We will get out of this car," Theodore said, telling Neville to follow him.

Neville nodded his head stiffly. Honestly, he was very scared at the mont, especially when he was not with Cassian and the people he knew. Luckily, Neville went with Theodore; otherwise, he was sure he would have been the one to be sacrificed.

After ensuring Neville understood what he had to do, Theodore quickly gathered his legs’ strength and kicked the door on his side. Because he used enough strength, the door flew and hit the zombies outside the car.

Theodore quickly activated his Area of Protection skill to protect Neville from the zombie attack. Neville also quickly followed behind Theodore; he didn’t dare to go far from Theodore’s side because there were many zombies around.

Theodore also took out his sword and activated his Wind Slash skill to throw the zombies around him, which helped them both escape from the car.

"You’ve found a safe place, right?" Theodore turned to Neville, who was beside him.

"Yes. I looked for it. It’s not far from here," Neville replied, nodding stiffly.

"Lead the way. We’ll hide there tonight," Theodore replied imdiately, allowing Neville to lead.

Neville nodded his head. With his excellent hearing ability, he led the two of them to an abandoned building.

There was no commotion in there, so Neville thought it was safe. No sound ca from there, so there must be no zombies.

When they got there, Theodore imdiately checked the situation inside, and sure enough, there was no sign of zombies. So they finally decided to hide there.

anwhile, Madeline and her group mbers struggle as hard as they can to escape the car.
