"Damn, being a True Mage has so many rules," Lith rubbed his temples as Michael finished speaking, having explained the rules of True Mages for the last half an hour.

"Well, how do you think they've kept this hidden for so long?" Michael said, then added, "And I think it's better this way. Just think about it—what if a killer got his hands on True Magic?"

Lith nodded. "Yeah, that could be disastrous."

'It seems we were right,' Solus said thoughtfully, ' The reason there was no developnt of True Magic was because if anyone dared to expose the hidden True Mage community, they'd make sure that mage didn't exist anymore.' Lith agreed with a grim look.

"You said your legacy was broken, right?" Michael asked, eyeing Lith. "So, do you have proper breathing techniques?"

Lith looked at him, confused. "Breathing techniques? You an in ditation or sothing like that?"

Michael nodded. "So you have it, good. Breathing techniques are the most important part for a True Mage."

Lith shook his head. "I don't have any inherited thods. It's just my basic recovery routines."

Michael looked at him, considering. "Well, if you want, I can teach you. Where do your talents lie?"

"My talents?" Lith asked, confused.

Michael nodded. "Think about which magic you feel the most drawn to."

Lith thought for a mont. "That would be Fire and Dark Magic," he said.

"Okay, I have this," Michael said, taking out a page. Then he used water magic on it, and within seconds, symbols and writing, began to appear on it. "It's called Dark Flare Breathing Art," he said, handing it to Lith.

Lith took it and looked at Michael. "Why are you doing so much for ?"

Michael shrugged. "Well, honestly, I don't need to be part of this True Mage community. I'm gonna be a little prodigy who does it on his own," he said, pausing for a mont. "It's normal when people know I have a powerful legacy. They'll act differently around or rather they will want it for themselves."

"What if I spill the secrets of yours?" Lith asked.

Michael smiled. "Then, that'll only make things worse for you. You'll have much more trouble protecting yourself than I will," he said, his eyes narrowing.

Lith got chills. "This guy… he's smart and knows everything. He's like an old snake," Lith thought, seeing Michael's calculating face. "But of course, I won't do that."

Michael smiled again and went on to his pouch, then took out a ring. "This little thing will protect your soul from being devoured by beings like us, True Mages," he said, tossing the ring to Lith.

Lith caught it and saw the tal ring, etched with runes carved inside. "You made this yourself?" he asked, looking up at Michael.

"Yeah. My legacy also involves Magiccraft, so making a small, enchanted ring isn't a big deal for ," Michael said, shrugging.

"What does it do?" Lith asked.

"The sa thing. It protects one from being devoured by True Mage community, It hides you are an True Mage" Michael replied, and Lith nodded, putting on the rune-etched tallic ring.

"It also have a little over 1 km of space storage, another little gift from ," Michael added, grinning as Lith adjusted the ring on his finger, hearing him he began to check as he nodded finding the storage space inside.

"it must be expensive" he said as Michael waved his hand and told him to not worry about it.

"Now that the True Mage talk is done, let's check out the magics. Follow ," Michael said, standing up as they both began to walk together.

"Where are we going?" Lith asked, and Michael replied, "I want to find the magic beasts living here." He stopped and looked at Lith. "You've been living here, so do you know about them?"

Lith nodded and then fired a magic signal. Soon, all six beasts rushed to their location.

Suddenly, Michael and Lith were surrounded by six powerful beasts.

"Do you need help?" asked one of the wolf-like beasts, its eyes locked on Michael.

"No, he wanted to et you all," Lith said, and the wolf looked at him, understanding.

"Care to introduce them?" Michael asked, and Lith nodded.

"This one is Proector. He's an Ry, a magical beast from wolf evolution," Lith said, pointing at the wolf. Proector bowed his head. "It's a pleasure to et you, human cub."

"Likewise," Michael said.

"Then this is Reaper," Lith said, pointing to a lion-like beast.

"Then it's Lifebringer," he said, gesturing to a horse-like beast.

"Then it's Sentinel," he said, indicating another wolf, but with spikes for fur.

"And lastly, Zest," he said, pointing to a puma-like beast.

"Hmm, it's nice to et you all," Michael said as Lifebringer asked, "Why do you want to et us?" Her voice sounded feminine, so he understood she was a female.

"Hm, well, I want to check out sothing," Michael said as he let them listen. "First of all, who is near the end of their life span?"

"Or near death, if you want to say it like that?" Michael asked as the beasts looked at him.

"What do you an, human cub?" Protector asked, looking at Michael.

Michael nodded and then spoke, "You see, I have a way to evolve magic beasts to next level, but it's more of a 50-50 chance," he said as the beasts looked at him.

"What's in cause of failure?" Sentinel asked, since it seed like one of the beasts was nearing the end of its life.

"Well, there are two outcos if it fails. First, you die. Worst case, you end up as an Abomination," Michael said, while Lith looked confused. "What is an Abomination?" he asked.

"An Abomination is... well, a greedy beast who devours life energy endlessly. They kill anything a human, a magic beast, or even a plant, they basically beco an Abomination who only know to kill and destroy," Michael said, seeing Lith's confused face.

"We still have ten years or so, but if by that ti we still haven't evolved, we'll ask your help," Protector said before anyone could say anything and nodded.

"Okay, as you wish," Michael shrugged as they all nodded.

"My mate is going to give birth, and many tis there is always a cub who dies. So, if you want, I can give you that cub of mine," Reaper said as Michael looked at him.
