The back was closely pressed against him, Su Lingzhi didn’t dare to move around, "Like this... Aren’t you afraid of holding it in too long? We should sleep in separate rooms from now on."

Fu Yinli turned her around, looking at her with deep aning.

"If you’re willing, we can do it now." His voice was restrained, with a hint of allure, and his hand had already reached into her clothes, enticing her to feel moved.

Su Lingzhi held down his hand that was moving upwards, "It’s too late today, co back earlier tomorrow, we can try then."

"So you’re just going to leave in discomfort tonight?"

"Go sleep upstairs."

Fu Yinli looked at her helplessly, "Should I say you have strong self-control, or that I haven’t tried hard enough to make you interested in ?"

"Neither." Su Lingzhi’s cheeks were pink and tempting as she pushed him, exposing her face outside the quilt, breathing heavily.

Fu Yinli didn’t force her anymore, pulling her back into his arms, "Tomorrow then, tomorrow."

...

The next day, Shao Yuwei waited for Fu Yinli all morning but he never returned to the company.

He was going on a business trip tomorrow, and it might be half a month before she could see him again, making it difficult to handle her uncle’s issues.

Moreover, she still didn’t have his private number.

Feeling helpless, she could only go to Fu Family’s Old Mansion during her lunch break to ask Old Master Fu for help.

Returning to the company in the afternoon, she happened to run into him at the company entrance.

She hurriedly took off her coat and chased after him, calling out, "President Fu."

Fu Yinli glanced at her indifferently and then looked away, "The office atmosphere needs so improvent."

Since her adolescence, Shao Yuwei had been known as the most beautiful woman in a cheongsam in Beijing, with naturally alluring curves. Her low-cut professional outfit and tight skirt showcased her snow-white curves, easily captivating people.

At this mont, even when he pointed it out, Shao Yuwei felt no sha at all, because she knew n liked this; he was just being stubborn.

"President Fu, I have sothing I want to talk to you about."

Just then, the elevator ca, and Fu Yinli stepped inside without acknowledging her.

Shao Yuwei felt awkward for a mont, hurriedly following him as the elevator closed, standing side by side with him.

She looked at the reflection in the mirror, seeing his deeply detached expression, and her words suddenly stuck in her throat.

She once believed that no one else was worthy of Fu Yinli except her, thinking her beauty would make him devoted to her.

Thus, after they got together, she wasn’t worried about him falling for soone else; she still believed that as long as she wore the necklace he gave her, dressed in his preferred style, it would soften his heart.

But now, she was feeling sowhat frustrated.

She shalessly followed him into the office, standing across a desk from him, pleading, "Can you let my uncle go?"

"Didn’t you see Old Master Fu?"

"I didn’t go in, Grandpa Fu still doesn’t know about this."

"Should I thank you for that?" he said in a low voice.

"Are you really willing to go this far for that blind person, or are you just using this to spite ?" Shao Yuwei took on the deanor of a rightful person, asking him.

Fu Yinli furrowed his eyebrows, his eyes filled with annoyance, "Who do you think you are to question how I treat my loved ones?"

He didn’t leave her any dignity with these words.

Shao Yuwei’s eyes turned red, feeling a sourness in her nose, "We were once together, even if you don’t care about our past, how can you humiliate like this? What did I ever do to you?"

As she spoke, tears fell uncontrollably, feeling particularly wronged, "After you left Beijing, our relationship still existed. I didn’t find another man; I waited for you to co back. But since you returned, not only did you find a new girlfriend, you even treated my family this poorly. Clearly, it’s your fault."

Her bright eyes glistened with tears, and even in distress, her charm was undeniable, like a rose bending under pressure, invoking sympathy.

Fu Yinli showed no emotion, still with a stern face, "I’m not like you; I have many options and won’t just stick to one person. Don’t pretend to be so deep in love; back then..."

He let out a light snort, "You know as well as I do, we were just using each other for fun."

Fu Yinli said coldly, "Leave the company on your own, and I’ll spare your uncle."

Shao Yuwei looked at him with tears in her eyes, feeling utterly cold-hearted, not expecting it to co to this.

She hesitated, his words "just for fun" echoing in her mind, unable to make up her mind, and after a tumultuous inner struggle, her head was spinning as she left his office, not even knowing what she said to him.

Her colleagues in the secretary departnt saw her return and assud she had been scolded again, quickly offering her tissues to wipe her tears and provide comfort.

Shao Yuwei remained lost in his words.

If it was just for fun, then maybe he’s not truly invested in that blind person either.

Just then, her mother’s call ca in.

She wiped away her tears, cald herself, and took her phone to a secluded tea room to answer.

"Yuwei, how did it go with Fu Yinli?"

Shao Yuwei pursed her lips, afraid to speak.

She rembered choosing to stay at the Fu Group over her uncle in the end.

"Yuwei, are you listening?"

"Mom, Yinli refused. I’ll talk to Grandpa Fu a little later."

"It seems he doesn’t care about the past between you and the Shao family," the third wife of the Shao family said with resentnt, "What does he an by this? Just because of a blind person, how is she any better than you?"

"I can’t fathom Yinli’s thoughts; maybe he’s just playing around with that blind person too."

"Even so, he shouldn’t disregard you like this. You are a daughter of the Shao family, and the Shao and Fu families have long-standing ties; he shouldn’t handle things so disrespectfully."

Shao Yuwei lowered her head in disappointnt, quietly comforting her, "Grandpa Fu dotes on ; he’s easier to talk to. Please be patient and wait for news from , Mom."

"And what about you two in the future?"

"I’ll figure sothing out later. As long as I stay with the Fu Group, I still have a chance. I won’t give up on him."

The third wife of the Shao family thought for a mont and then told her, "Sweet-talk him more, he won’t hold past things against you, and with Old Master Fu supporting you, once you two are inseparable, he won’t dare not to be responsible for you."

"Mom, what nonsense are you talking about?"

"Don’t be embarrassed. That’s how I got pregnant with you back then. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in good health and couldn’t give him a son; otherwise, I wouldn’t have such a low status in the Shao family. Rember that with your conditions and enough courage, no man is unreachable by you."

Shao Yuwei blushed, "Mom, I won’t keep talking; I have to get back to work."
