The centralization of power in his new nation was going really well since there was hardly any nobility to begin with it was simple to inform those who remained of the changes and that nobility was now a relative thing of the past those who had skills were recruited to the new governnt structure, those who had no skills still retained their own wealth and therefore could open new businesses or invest in other’s startups, or even enlist themselves or their families into the military where they could gain further rits.

Julius as the central figure, had begun to reform the known governntal system by beginning the creation of his various departnts, starting with the Departnt of Military Affairs, The Departnt of Finance, and The Departnt of Civil Affairs.

These three being the core trio required from the beginning, as his military was centrally managed the creation and deploynt of the forces would be done from this departnt with Julius as the overall commander in chief, The departnt of finance being in charge of the rchants guild, and the overall process of tax collection and currency creation, while civil affairs plotted roadways, official appointnts, and managing the eventual formation of the senate.

As it stood now, almost everything was still running through Julius himself, however with ti as these other departnts took form his involvent would beco less and less but the overall power of the nation would still reside in his hands.

At most he was prepared to allow 30% of his overall power to rest in the hands of others collectively while the remaining 70% would be his.

And with the creation of public schools he could elevate his people further but only to a certain degree, by adding to their knowledge they could work better, co up with new inventions or tactics and join his research teams but not be educated enough to question his reign or possibly rise up against him destroying him and his nation from within.

By bridging the gap between the local populace and the forr nobles it would open possible common ground and reduce the overall unrest typically seen as the only ones truely standing above the common man would be their Grand Duke or Future Emperor should he make it that far.

Having been satisfied with what he’d seen after turning round to give a parting wave to the crowd and give a final glance around at his now bustling capital city.

After entering the palace he ascended the stairs until he’d reached his penthouse suit, entering through the doors, and stripping off his traveling clothes.

Freed from his constraints Julius entered the bathroom where a basic shower was located, while he could not adjust the temperature of the water it mattered little as to be able to have a full body shower was a boon non the less.

While the room also contained a bathtub the process involved with heating that much water was tireso so a showever was more than enough and given he’d need to work right after taking the ti off required to draw the bath.

After a rigorous cleansing Julius grabbed one of the towels and patted himself dry before grabbing onto his robes and taking up his Roman dressed self, his chosen form was a toga when at rest as it allowed for the most amount of freedom whereas whilst on the move he’d be dressed in the standard tunic and longpants.

Having completed his cleaning and taking his seat at the desk he grabbed the first sheef of papers and began working his way through them.

Most were just a review of the various cities developnts, the general expansion of the military through recruitnt rather than conscription.

A report on those who were forrly conscripted who have since asked to retire from the military and then another on those who’d been conscripted who’ve elected to remain enlisted or transfer over to the newly ford naval service.

Further reports on the state of the most recent harvest and the expansion of the fields and their projected future yields.

After making his way through all the pending paperwork and digesting it, signing off on those that required his approval or insight.

Once completed the singular stack was divided into three piles on the other side of his desk, those that denoted his reading of, approval of, and those with comnts or changes he’d placed on them.

These would be collected later by a maid and taken to the relevant storage area, or departnt related to their topic.

Having completed his required paperwork, Julius was now free, he could do anything he’d like at this point.

There was no pending administrative tasks, and they presently were not at war save for their proxy war but that one was likely to co to and end in a few months ti after Parthia completed the Ramie Kingdom conquest.

With the Greecian pennensulia heating up that will be his next front, but to take the most advantage from it he’d need to wait till the opertune mont to secure the loyalty of the Spartan’s wherein they’d have no choice accept to choose the support of the Latinium Duchy or should we call it a kingdom now due to our overall growth even though we’ve not existed for very long?

As Julius sat idle in his room thinking about what to do now that his life had been freed up until the world had progress further into madness.

It was then that a knock ca from the door.

"Enter"

The door creaked open and in poked the head of the Queen of Carthage, after she’d fully entered the room a second head appeared, this ti it was the Princess of Roserun.

"Greetings your Grace"

"We lowly exiles greet the Grand Duke."

The pair chose different greeting tactics with Serena still operating under a very formal tone, whereas Yuri took up a highly sarcastic one brought on by her familiarity with Julius thanks to their latest journey together.

"It’s nice to see the two of your as well, to what do I owe the pleasure?"

This might’ve been true for Serena however Julius had only just been riding alongside Yuri re hours before as they rode to The Eternal City.

"Well your grace is always so busy, so we thought that we would take it upon ourselves to force you out into the city."

"Yeah co on a date with us!"
