If Sun Wukong was surprised that Arthur was a reincarnated being like himself.

Then he beca shocked to learn that Arthur knew of his past life as the Monkey King down to every detail.

But he saw the Seal of The Heavens on had on him.

He mind could no longer estimate Arthur’s existence any longer.

What kind of existence must Arthur have been to warrant such an extre seal?

What had he done that made the Heavenly Dao itself commit such vast power to ensuring he could never return to his forr strength?

Sun Wukong’s own seal had been placed because he’d challenged the heavens. Because his power had grown beyond what they could tolerate. Because he’d threatened the established order.

But this... this was sothing else entirely. This wasn’t just a threat. This was an extinction-level danger. Sothing the Heavenly Dao feared so completely that it had used resources beyond imagination to ensure permanent suppression.

The star slowly dissipated. The symbols faded back into nothingness. Arthur lowered his hand.

Sun Wukong stood frozen. His earlier confidence completely shattered. His pride humbled in a way it hadn’t been humbled in either of his lives.

"Now," Arthur said calmly, as if he hadn’t just revealed sothing that shook the foundations of Sun Wukong’s understanding, "do you still want to challenge ?"

Sun Wukong’s throat was dry. He tried to speak but no words ca out at first. He had to swallow. Clear his throat. Try again.

"I..." he began. Stopped. Started over. "That seal. The number of symbols. That’s..."

"Impossible?" Arthur supplied. "Excessive? Beyond anything that should exist?"

"Yes," Sun Wukong managed. "All of that."

Arthur nodded. "And yet here it is. Real and undeniable. You can say it’s a witness to what I must have been. What threat I must have posed."

Arthur didn’t speak directly as though he was sure. He had revealed more than enough.

Sun Wukong won’t be able to release what he had learned here.

Arthur had the power to ensure that.

Sun Wukong’s mind was still reeling. He thought back to his earlier words. His confidence. His desire to test whether he or Arthur was truly stronger.

Now that seed laughably naive. Like a child challenging an adult to arm wrestling. The gap wasn’t just significant. It was fundantal. Absolute.

"The mories you’ve recovered," Arthur said, his voice gentle now, almost kind, "they’re considered precious. They show you what you can beco. But Sun Wukong, you need to understand that even at your absolute peak, your seal was a fraction of what you see here."

"Which ans," Arthur continued, "that whatever I was before this seal was placed on , it was sothing beyond what you achieved in your previous life. Beyond what you can currently imagine becoming."

The truth of those words settled over Sun Wukong like a weight. He couldn’t deny them. Couldn’t argue. The evidence was too overwhelming.

"I’m not telling you this to crush your spirit," Arthur said. "Your determination is good. Your desire to grow stronger is exactly what I want to see in those who follow ."

"But you need to understand the reality of your situation," Arthur’s eyes t Sun Wukong’s steadily. "Challenging isn’t a path to proving yourself. It’s a path to understanding just how far you still have to go."

Sun Wukong was quiet for a long mont. His pride warred with the undeniable truth he’d just witnessed.

The part of him that was the Monkey King wanted to rage. To deny. To insist that he would find a way to surpass even this.

But the wiser part of him, the part that had learned from his previous life’s mistakes, recognized the futility of that position.

"You’re right," Sun Wukong finally said. His voice was rough but sincere. "I was being foolish. Arrogant. Blind to the bigger picture."

"I guess you could use that saying on ...I had eyes but failed to see Mount Tai."

He took a breath. "That seal you showed . The sheer scale of it. I can’t even begin to comprehend what you must have done to earn such treatnt from the Heavenly Dao."

"And if you carry that kind of seal," Sun Wukong continued, "then even if I fully recovered all my mories and power from my previous life, I still wouldn’t be in a position to challenge you. The gap is too vast."

Arthur nodded but said nothing. Letting Sun Wukong work through his thoughts.

"If that is the case..." Sun Wukong said finally.

"I’ll follow your lead."

He was already a rebel... sothing tells him the heavens won’t be welcoming him in this life either.

So why not team up with soone who stood a better chance?

His voice was firm now. "Not because of the vow I made. Not because you defeated . But because I genuinely recognize that you’re sothing extraordinary. Sothing that stands above even legendary existences like what I once was."

He t Arthur’s eyes directly. "If anyone can help take revenge against those who destroyed in my previous life, if anyone can help surpass my forr limits and achieve what I couldn’t before, it’s you."

Arthur’s expression softened. "I accept your pledge. But understand that I don’t want blind followers. I want people who think for themselves. Who question and challenge ideas. Your pride isn’t sothing to suppress completely. It’s sothing to channel properly."

"I understand," Sun Wukong said. He bowed. Deeper than before. Not as a casual acquaintance to a prince, but as a true follower to a leader he genuinely respected.

When he straightened, there was sothing different in his eyes. The conflict was gone. Replaced by clarity. Purpose. Determination that was now properly directed.

"The secret realm," Sun Wukong said. "I’ll follow your lead there. Use my abilities to support your goals. And afterward..."

"Afterward we’ll discuss your path forward," Arthur finished. "How to help you recover more of your mories. How to break through the seal that limits you. How to achieve revenge against those who wronged you."

Sun Wukong’s eyes lit up with hope and determination. "Thank you, Your Highness. I won’t forget this."

Arthur nodded. "I know you won’t. Now go. Continue your preparations. We’ll speak more before the realm opens."

Sun Wukong bowed once more. Then he turned and left the courtyard. His steps were firm. Confident. But no longer arrogant or conflicted.

Arthur stood alone once more. The sun continued its journey across the sky. The world moved on as normal.

But sothing fundantal had shifted. Sun Wukong’s loyalty had been secured not through force or deception, well a little tweaking was needed.

And Arthur had revealed just enough of his true nature to establish the necessary hierarchy without exposing all his secrets.

It was a delicate balance. One that would need constant attention and careful managent. But for now, it was stable.
