The bright moon remained, like an eternal deity watching over the human world.

Inside a modest, plainly decorated house sat the two highest-ranking individuals in the entire Training Camp.

Marvin and Instructor Leinajin each sat on a chair, with a crystal ball placed in the center of the table before them.

"Sure enough, only in this place can I find you. Don't you get tired of staring at this thing every day?"

Marvin looked at the Instructor, then at the crystal ball on the table, frowning as he asked.

"No, I don't. This is my job, just like you're always tinkering with your various alchemical potions."

"Moreover, you also know the importance of this magic tool. Whenever any disturbance occurs within the Training Camp, it will quickly provide an alert and display the scene of the disturbance."

"The Training Camp is sowhat close to forests teeming with monsters. Although there are high walls to block them, there have been instances of monsters crossing the walls."

"To ensure the stability of the Training Camp, I need to constantly monitor the situation here."

The Instructor responded calmly.

"Ordinary monsters don't even require your intervention, do they… Never mind, let's get straight to the point. I ca to ask you, how many people do you intend to keep?"

Marvin set down his teacup and asked the Instructor.

"Are you referring to those Slaves? Although the family's requirent is twenty people, it's better to have quality over quantity. The 'Dark Guards' need elites."

"Once I believe that the remaining people have t the assessnt standards, I will naturally have the family co over to review the graduation assessnt."

"Otherwise, if they perform too poorly during the assessnt, it would be embarrassing." Thelatestchaptersarealwaysavailablefirston*.

Regarding Marvin's question, the Instructor calmly explained.

"I want to select one person from those who are currently remaining. Is that acceptable?"

Marvin looked directly at the Instructor, his expression serious as he presented his idea to him.

"Who do you want? What for? Hmm… Never mind, I'm not interested in what you want to do."

The Instructor shook his head and said slowly.

"Are you really not going to give any face? I just want a Slave, and you're going to refuse?"

Seeing the Instructor shake his head, Marvin assud the other party was going to refuse him, so he questioned him with a sowhat displeased expression.

"No, I didn't say I disagree. I just said I'm not interested in what you want to do."

"As long as the potions you're concocting don't threaten the safety and stability of the Training Camp, I actually couldn't care less what you do."

"My last reminder to you was only because the family issued a request."

Seeing Marvin's impatience, the Instructor began to explain to him.

Hearing this, Marvin's expression improved significantly, and the anger and urgency in his heart also subsided.

"Tell , which person do you want?" the Instructor continued.

"Don't worry, I've observed them. I don't want the ones who usually perform exceptionally well."

"The one I want has average performance, his na is Liens. Hmm… you might not know him by na."

"He's about 168 cm tall, dium build, and his appearance is roughly like this… and that."

Marvin responded sowhat eagerly.

He gestured with both hands, trying hard to describe Liens's specific appearance to the Instructor.

"You can just go and identify him yourself tomorrow. There's no need to frantically gesture here." The Instructor looked at Marvin's actions and said speechlessly, with lines on his forehead.

"Okay, I'll go tomorrow morning." Hearing this, Marvin also put down his gesturing hands and replied with a sigh of relief.

The death toll today made him feel a sense of urgency. He worried that the experintal subject he cared about most wouldn't survive the final stage of tempering.

The assessnt ti was approaching, and he could no longer wait.

'I can't wait any longer.'

In the darkness, Liens silently thought to himself.

When the Instructor announced that the graduation assessnt was approaching, Liens knew he couldn't wait any longer; he had to deal with Marvin as soon as possible.

Otherwise, every additional day would an an additional risk for him.

Liens hadn't expected the Instructor to announce the approaching graduation assessnt so suddenly.

Wasn't the training period always 6 months each year?

Liens had confird this in Marvin's diary.

However, this session was only a little over four months, and it was possible that the graduation assessnt would take place around the fifth month.

This was nearly a month shorter than previous sessions.

'Could it be related to that escape incident? After all, the number of Trainees significantly decreased after that day.'

Liens thought.

However, whatever the reason, the early graduation assessnt had beco a reality.

Marvin would definitely not have the patience to continue waiting, so he decided to deal with Marvin tonight.

Although the suddenness of the situation disrupted so of his plans, he had rehearsed Marvin's assassination many tis and was confident that he would not encounter any problems.

Although there was no clock, Liens estimated that the current ti was probably around 11 or 12 midnight.

Everyone who should be asleep was already asleep, whether it was Marvin or Ben… He had already confird this in the instance.

Liens quietly slipped out of the dormitory without waking the sleeping Ben.

Next, he needed to go to a place to retrieve his equipnt.

This ti, the equipnt could not co from patrolling guards, because rashly killing people would increase the chances of an accident.

Liens wasn't saying he would encounter guards he couldn't kill, but rather that the act of killing and burying bodies might be discovered.

He didn't care much about this point when executing his plan in the instance because the ti required was very short.

But he couldn't do that in reality, at least not until he completed the assassination. He hoped the Training Camp could maintain its usual tranquility.

However, although he couldn't get his "delivery" from the patrolling guards, there was a place that could et his needs.

That place was—the storeroom.

The storeroom contained most of the Training Camp's supplies, including food, weapons, cloth, and even money.

And the tools and weapons Liens and the others needed for each training session ca from there.

Naturally, the longswords that the Instructor had them use for "real-life sword PK" this afternoon had also been collected and stored there.

This afternoon, when the Instructor announced that they should fight non-stop, Liens was a little worried that the longswords wouldn't be collected.

If the longswords remained in their hands, then if Marvin died, these people would certainly have their suspicions increased due to the weapon issue.

Although this slight suspicion wouldn't constitute a doubt in the face of the "contract" constraint.

But just in case.

What if the Instructor really did pinpoint the culprit among them because of this?

What if the Instructor was truly formidable or accidentally traced it back to him?

So it was best, from the start, to make the Instructor look beyond these Slaves.

Therefore, Liens was sowhat relieved that the longswords had been collected.

Perhaps the Instructor was also worried that if they kept their weapons, they might do sothing detrintal to the Training Camp.

Although the longswords being collected made it much more troubleso for him to reacquire a weapon.

But even if he still had the longsword on him, he couldn't possibly use that longsword to kill Marvin.

He was also planning to dispose of the murder weapon after killing the person.

If he were to be traced back to himself because of the murder weapon, then he would truly have nowhere to cry out his innocence.

Reality is not an instance; Life is only once, so Liens naturally needed to be extra cautious.

He could pay his respects at Marvin's grave, but he couldn't be buried with him.
