"You serve ." Xu Chaomu smiled at him.
"Get it yourself."
"If you don’t serve , I won’t eat."
"Then stay hungry." Shen Chi ignored him, "I just ran into Xiaobao looking for food. If you won’t eat, I’ll give it to him."
"Then give it to him." Xu Chaomu snorted coldly.
"I can’t win with you." Helplessly, Shen Chi brought the bowl to the bedside.
He couldn’t bear to let her go hungry, or it would be him feeling heartbroken.
"Do you want to feed you?" Shen Chi raised an eyebrow.
"No need." Xu Chaomu took the chopsticks, "I’ll eat noodles. Help figure out how to beat this ga."
Shen Chi glanced at the tablet and casually tapped a few tis: "This is easy. How co you’re so dumb."
"You’re smart, you help play."
"Alright."
Xu Chaomu ate noodles while watching Shen Chi play the ga.
This man takes anything he does seriously, even if it’s playing gas.
He’s unexpectedly quite smart, even though he hadn’t played before, he got the hang of it after a few rounds.
Xu Chaomu was so engrossed watching, she nearly forgot to eat her noodles.
Shen Chi tapped her head lightly: "What are you thinking? Hurry up and eat, so I can eat."
"Hmm?" Xu Chaomu didn’t react for a mont.
Shen Chi held her head, lowering his voice, a aningful smile at the corner of his mouth: "Eat you."
"..."
After Xu Chaomu finished eating, she hugged her pajamas and headed to the bathroom: "I’m going to take a shower."
"Why not shower together?"
"Didn’t you already shower?" Xu Chaomu ignored him, shutting the bathroom door.
Shen Chi tidied up the room, smiling slightly, then walked to the window.
The early sumr night had sparse stars and a gentle breeze carrying the fragrance of flowers and green grass.
He rembered, soon it would be the Qixi Festival. For the past few years on Qixi, he’d given her a gift but hadn’t spent much ti with her.
Although Xu Chaomu didn’t mind, he felt he owed her.
This year on Qixi, he’d give her a surprise.
At the very least, he’d spend it with her.
When Xu Chaomu ca out, she saw Shen Chi standing at the window: "Hubby, hubby, will you help dry my hair?"
Shen Chi turned, beckoning her: "Co over then."
Xu Chaomu happily ran over, standing with him on the balcony.
Shen Chi took the hairdryer from her hand, pushed her onto the chair on the balcony: "Sit still, I’ll dry your hair."
"Hubby, you’re the best." Xu Chaomu complinted, giggling.
She contentedly closed her eyes, letting Shen Chi’s fingers weave through her hair.
The window was half-open, and the evening breeze stirred a few strands of Xu Chaomu’s hair.
Sotis she’d squint her eyes to look at Shen Chi, but mostly she quietly enjoyed it.
Moonlight spilled on the window and floor, highlighting Shen Chi’s handso and gentle deanor.
"Besides , no one will treat you so well." Shen Chi said.
"Got it, got it." Xu Chaomu laughed.
"Even your son won’t." Shen Chi added.
"Then should I be nicer to you?"
"Just put back in first place."
Xu Chaomu chuckled, this man, always jealous of their son.
"Have you been busy lately?" Xu Chaomu asked.
"Yes, the project’s about to start. I have to be cautious."
"You focus on work, it’s fine. I’ll cancel so things from my studio and unnecessary activities."
"Sorry for the inconvenience, Mumu."
Shen Chi knew she loved her studio and work, making her sacrifice made him feel guilty.
"Family shouldn’t talk about inconvenience." Xu Chaomu touched his face.
She knew Shen Chi was sincere with her, and that was enough.
"Mumu, you’re most beautiful when you’re understanding."
"I’m not just understanding, I’m skilled at undressing."
Saying this, Xu Chaomu reached out, untying his robe’s sash.
She hadn’t expected this rogue wasn’t wearing anything underneath and quickly turned her gaze away.
Shen Chi bent down, lifting her chin: "Skilled at undressing? Mine?"
"Shaless, why aren’t you wearing anything?"
"Wearing it only to take it off, isn’t that troubleso? Besides, we agreed, later I’d eat you." Shen Chi laughed devilishly near her ear.
His warm breath spread across her face, making her feel tingly and itchy.
Xu Chaomu’s hair nearly dry, Shen Chi set down the hairdryer, pulled the curtains, and carried her to the bedroom.
"Tonight, do you want to be on top or bottom?" Shen Chi pressed her down, raising his eyebrow.
"..."
"Then I assu you like being eaten by ."
Shen Chi didn’t hold back, reaching to open her pajamas, showering her neck with kisses.
The bedroom had just one wall light on, casting an ambiguous, dim glow.
Habitually, Shen Chi opened the drawer, reminding Xu Chaomu of his desire for another child.
She reached out, holding his arm, slightly opening her eyes: "No worries, it’s a safe period."
"I know, but just in case." Shen Chi looked at her.
She had said she didn’t want more children, so he wouldn’t force her.
"It won’t happen." Xu Chaomu held his hand back, pulling his hand away.
Amid Shen Chi’s anxious desire, he couldn’t care less. Since she said it was safe, then it was.
Xu Chaomu counted the days, she thought, if a child cos, she wouldn’t refuse.
If they had another son, it just ant that Shen Chi really wasn’t capable!
"Don’t get distracted." Shen Chi whispered closely, kissing her lips.
As he spoke, he applied more pressure.
"Uh... ah... be gentler..." Xu Chaomu couldn’t help but hit his back.
"No distractions allowed." Shen Chi emphasized again.
"Got it, got it!"
That night, Xu Chaomu was exhausted, yet Shen Chi stayed tireless.
"Hubby... can we do this tomorrow... I’m so tired..." After wrestling till midnight, Xu Chaomu surrendered.
"Alright, I’ll let you off today." Shen Chi pinched her face.
Pulling up the blanket to cover her, he reached to turn off the wall lamp.
"Hubby, we haven’t gone for a walk by ourselves in a long ti." Xu Chaomu rembered this.
"Want to go together?"
"Yes..."
"Alright, once I’m done being busy, okay?"
"Okay, focus on your work."
"Tomorrow, since I don’t have work, I’ll take you to the beach." Shen Chi said.
"Great, do you still rember when Xiaobao was still in my belly, we went to the beach. That was the first ti you took , just us."
"I rember, the photos I took of you are still here."
"You beast, yet you refused to believe the child in my stomach was yours."
"I was wrong."
"It didn’t lead to any real trouble, so, you’re forgiven."
"Mumu, you’re getting more understanding."
"I’m not buying it." Xu Chaomu snorted, pulling the covers over to sleep.
