"What’s in it for ?" Xu Chaomu raised an eyebrow.
"Mom, how about I find you a young handso uncle? Let tell you, Doudou’s uncle from our class is really handso. I heard he’s a senior at the Film Academy and works part-ti as a model." Xiaobao said to Xu Chaomu with an expectant look.
"Really? Do you have a photo?" Xu Chaomu blinked.
"Yes, yes, yes. He ca to pick up Doudou last ti and I secretly took a picture. Oh no, my phone got confiscated by Dad." Xiaobao spread his hands.
"..." Xu Chaomu sweatdropped.
"Mom, I’ll take a photo for you next ti, but you have to help get my phone back." Xiaobao looked at Xu Chaomu pitifully, depending on her now.
"Tell , is it because you play on your phone all the ti that you ended up scoring near the bottom?" Xu Chaomu looked down at him.
The little guy looked a lot like Shen Chi, but his personality... seed to resemble her a bit more.
"No." Xiaobao shook his head.
"Then why did you score so low, are you just too silly?" Xu Chaomu put her hands on her hips.
If it were anyone else’s child, Xu Chaomu wouldn’t say sothing like this, but Xiaobao, he wouldn’t mind!
"I’m not." Xiaobao fell silent, quietly lowering his head and walking away.
"What are you muttering about?" Shen Chi ca down with a stern face, blocking Xiaobao’s path.
Xiaobao raised his head, saw Shen Chi, and hurriedly hid in Xu Chaomu’s arms: "Mommy..."
"Don’t scare the kid." Xu Chaomu hugged Xiaobao, giving Shen Chi a glare.
"Look at his test paper, just look at this ss!" Shen Chi threw Xiaobao’s midterm papers to Xu Chaomu, furious.
Xu Chaomu took them, flipping through casually.
After reading, she laughed: "Just like when I was little..."
She rembered that when she was young in the orphanage, she loved to scribble on her test papers.
Later, when she was brought to the Shen Family, she couldn’t adapt in many ways, didn’t study well in school, and her notebooks were covered in various drawings.
"You still have the nerve to say that." Shen Chi was angry.
"We’ll talk when we get ho. Xiaobao, go back to class for now." Xu Chaomu patted his head.
After all, he’s her son; Xu Chaomu couldn’t bear to scold him.
"Thank you, Mom!" Xiaobao was grateful to Xu Chaomu, giving Shen Chi a glare.
Shen Chi was so mad he nearly kicked him twice!
Xiaobao silently mouthed: "Doudou’s uncle..."
Xu Chaomu winked at him, waved her hand, signaling him to hurry back to class.
Once Xiaobao left, Xu Chaomu went through his test papers again, laughing out loud after reading.
"My son could be a codian one day; his essays are funnier than ones you find online." Xu Chaomu read while laughing, her stomach hurting from laughter.
"Xu Chaomu, if you keep indulging him like this, don’t bla for being tough." Shen Chi said.
"As if you’re not indulging him yourself." Xu Chaomu gave him a disdainful look, knowing the man was speaking against his heart.
"You both need so discipline." Shen Chi glanced at her, walking directly towards the parking area.
"Wait a minute, Shen Chi, who are you talking about?!" Xu Chaomu chased after him.
"..."
"Shen Chi, make yourself clear!" Xu Chaomu pursued.
"..."
"Shen Chi, your attitude annoys . Are you dissatisfied with us?"
"..."
"Hey!"
Shen Chi got into his car, slamming the door shut.
Xu Chaomu banged on the car window, Xiaogao looked at Shen Chi, awkward and unsure what to do.
"Drive! What are you standing around for?!" Shen Chi ordered.
"Y-yes." Xiaogao wiped his sweat, realizing the Fourth Young Master had another argunt with the Fourth Young Mistress.
The car drove swiftly past Xu Chaomu, who was so angry she nearly threw her high heels at it.
Shen Chi, you bully!
Xu Chaomu threw Xiaobao’s test papers into the car and went to her studio.
"Sister Chaomu, look, these are the recent models’ audition photos." Xiaomo handed her a stack of printed photos.
Xu Chaomu flipped through them one by one: "None of them are satisfactory, find more candidates."
The studio recently designed a few n’s shirts and was looking for models to try them on for photoshoots.
"These shirts target newcors to the workplace, these models don’t convey that vibe." Xu Chaomu tossed the photos back to Xiaomo.
"Alright, I’ll look for more."
Xu Chaomu turned on her computer to start working. She had founded this studio herself and would never leave it behind.
She never worried about anything. Although Xiaobao might not be as outstanding as Shen Chi, the little guy was quite smart.
However, Shen Chi’s attitude really displeased her, very displeased!
At noon, Xu Chaomu didn’t return to the Shen Family for lunch; she intentionally didn’t go back.
Of course, she was also quite busy with work.
Around three or four in the afternoon, she received a call from Xiaobao.
Xiaobao was standing on tiptoe at a phone booth: "Mom, can you take out to dinner tonight?"
"Coming second-last in your exams and still want to eat out?"
"But that’s still an improvent, last ti I was the last."
"Wait till you get into the top five, then I’ll take you out."
"Does that an I’ll be eating at ho my whole life?" Xiaobao mumbled.
Xu Chaomu was angry: "Shen Yun, show so promise!"
"Mom, but you and Dad haven’t taken and my brother out for a al in a long ti." Xiaobao complained.
Xu Chaomu thought about it; it indeed had been a long ti.
During winter, she was quite busy, flying overseas frequently for various fashion shows. Lately, Shen Chi was busy expanding several business ventures for the group.
Seeing Xu Chaomu not responding, Xiaobao said, feeling wronged: "Then who’s coming to the parent-teacher eting the day after tomorrow, you or Dad?"
Xiaobao wasn’t counting on them to co; it had always been Uncle Ruan who attended.
"I’ll discuss it with your dad, okay?" Xu Chaomu comforted him.
"Oh!" Xiaobao was angry and abruptly hung up.
After the call, Xiaobao walked back to class unhappily.
After school in the evening, Xiaobao secretly snuck out of school alone to find his brother at the kindergarten next door.
Erbao was sitting obediently in the library, waiting for the family to pick him up.
"Hi, little brother!" Xiaobao climbed to the window.
Erbao blinked: "Brother, how did you get here?"
"Want so fried chicken legs? Burgers? And chicken wings, chicken rolls!" Xiaobao lay on the window, tempting Erbao.
Erbao smacked his lips, but he was a little scared, and in a childish voice said: "Mom and Dad will find out."
"They won’t. If they find out, just say it was who brought you out. Don’t worry, I’ll take the bla." Xiaobao patted his chest.
In any case, with the midterms like that, a beating was unavoidable; might as well have a good al before that.
Erbao was tempted; he hadn’t had these in a while, parents never allowed it.
"Hurry out, otherwise, if Butler Ling cos, we won’t be able to escape." Xiaobao beckoned.
"You’re the best, brother."
"Of course, big brother is the best."
Erbao ran out, the two of them with big round eyes, checked that no one was watching, and ran out of the kindergarten.
"Brother, this ti you’re not allowed to steal my chicken leg."
