Wait... why was it still in progress?! Didn’t he make up with Adrian already? Then it should have successfully finished. He should already be claiming the rewards, but why?
’Did that guy perhaps pretend that he wasn’t mad anymore, but in truth, he was actually planning sothing insidious behind the dark?’
Rayen gritted his teeth. He would have to confirm it with that guy later.
When the group finally arrived in their dorm, before Adrian could even enter his own room, Rayen imdiately blocked him in front of the door.
The others also stopped for a mont to watch the scene.
It wasn’t that hard to notice that ever since the incident, Adrian kept jabbing at Rayen whenever he could. Definitely, the atmosphere between the two of them wasn’t as good as it used to be.
So, they kept watch to prevent any fights that would break out.
Adrian crossed his arms, raising one of his brows at Rayen. "What?"
"Tell . Did you lie earlier?" Rayen asked.
"Lie? Lie about what?"
"My mission," Rayen said.
Adrian frowned. "What about your mission?"
"It’s still in progress!"
"..." Adrian was rendered speechless. "So this was actually the real reason for your sudden clinginess toward ? I feel so hurt, Eureka."
The corners of Rayen’s lips twitched. "Stop. I’m going to kick your ass."
"What does your mission even say?" Adrian asked.
"It asked to make up with the mber I have disagreents with," Rayen explained.
"Did it ntion any nas?"
"... No," Rayen answered.
The corner of Adrian’s lips turned up. "Then that just ant one thing."
"....."
Adrian continued, "Soone else might be bearing a grudge against you."
Rayen still couldn’t say anything. Without Rayen responding, Adrian chuckled and finally pushed him to the side to enter their bedroom.
Before he disappeared through the door, though, he turned back to Rayen. "Don’t you have too many enemies, Eureka? Why not be gentle for a little while?!"
Then, Adrian slamd the door shut.
’Damn you.’
The others also sighed in relief. It seed like the two had made up when they weren’t looking.
That’s good.
With that, they also entered their room. The two youngest mbers were even swaying from exhaustion, especially Xu Jiji.
Just as Rayen was about to take a step, he felt a hand tap his back. When he looked back, Liam was looking at him with pity in his eyes.
’You...’
Staring back at him, Rayen was reminded of sothing. He opened his mouth, then closed it again.
Liam tilted his head. "Do you also have sothing to ask ?"
Rayen was actually reluctant to ask him. However, hearing Liam’s question, he still went ahead and did it.
"Do you hate ?"
The circumstances around their death had been quite vague. Liam admitted that he felt responsible for it, but didn’t explain why he did so.
’Did he kill out of a grudge?’
However, it still doesn’t add up. If it were out of grudge, why would he feel responsible?
"..." Even Liam couldn’t answer right away. "No..."
When he heard Liam’s answer, he sighed in relief. So, ’grudge’ wasn’t the motive.
"Okay. Thanks," Rayen said.
He then went back to their own bedroom with his shoulders slumped.
It was good that Liam didn’t hate him, but it didn’t really solve the mystery as to how his mission was still on hold.
If Adrian did not hate him, as well as Liam, then who did he have to make up with?
’Damn Plotter! He should have specified who!’
Yeo Haru had already sprawled on his bed, without even bothering to wash his face.
He’s really slowly learning Adrian’s bad habit.
"Yeo Haru," Rayen called to him.
"Yes?"
"Do you hate ?"
"..." The corners of Yeo Haru’s eyes twitched. "No?"
"Oh..."
’Why do you sound so disappointed?!’
Rayen had already guessed Yeo Haru’s answer, but it still disappointed him.
If it were actually Yeo Haru, then he would be easy to please. However, because he was too easy to please, he really didn’t have any reason to bear Rayen a grudge. After all, Rayen had always been good toward him.
anwhile, Ren had just taken out a face towel from the dresser and was just about to head to the bathroom when Rayen imdiately blocked his way.
Ren stared at Rayen. "What’s up with you?"
Rayen started, "Tell ."
"Tell you what?"
"Do you bear a grudge against ?"
Rayen really couldn’t think of another person who had grudges against him aside from Adrian.
"No, I don’t."
"You don’t even feel the slightest urge to beat up?"
Ren blinked in confusion. "What the hell are you saying?"
"None?" Rayen repeated.
"If you don’t step aside, I probably will get the urge to beat you."
Hearing Ren’s words, Rayen could only step aside. He still didn’t get the answer he wanted, though.
’So, does he hate or not?’
Rayen stared at Ren’s back as he disappeared through the door. However, after a few monts of deliberation, Rayen decided to follow after him.
When Mr. Big News was just about to enter the kitchen to prepare dinner after tidying himself, he encountered a very weird scene.
Did he see it right? Was Rayen trotting behind Ren like a duckling with its mother?
Mr. Big News rubbed his eyes to confirm, and sure it was real.
Suddenly, Ren turned back to Rayen. "Do you plan on following even inside the bathroom?"
"Huh? No, I’m just going to the kitchen to eat."
Rayen said, turning to another direction. That’s when he saw Mr. Big News. A mory suddenly ca to him.
Didn’t he nearly kill Mr. Big News with his dish? He might have a grudge against Rayen because of this.
And so, Rayen approached Mr. Big News.
"What is it?" Mr. Big News asked, his tone a bit skeptical.
After all, he just witnessed sothing impossible.
"Do you hate ?" Rayen asked.
"Huh?" Mr. Big News was speechless.
’So this is what it’s all about?’
In response, Mr. Big News shook his head.
Rayen sighed both in relief and disappointnt. "Thanks."
When Xu Jiji also entered the kitchen, asking for dinner, even though it seed impossible, Rayen still went ahead and asked him.
"Do you hate , Jiji?"
Xu Jiji blinked in confusion. "Why would I hate you, brother?"
Rayen sighed in relief and then finally turned to Xi Huan, who had just entered the kitchen too.
Right now, Rayen was just like those thugs who would suddenly block the protagonist’s way.
"Do you hate ?"
Xi Huan flashed a bright smile. "Guess?"
He turned back against Xi Huan. It was silly of him to even ask her.
There was only one person he hadn’t asked — Iris.
But Iris hadn’t co out of their bedroom to eat dinner. And according to Xi Huan, she had fallen asleep right after changing and washing her face.
Rayen could only sigh.
’Is it her?’
