The alarm blared throughout the museum, and the staff was urgently evacuating the crowds.
In the Fla Habitat Species exhibit, in front of a shattered glass window, a girl from the Arctic Federation nad Sofia held a crab nearly one ter in length.
The crab had a crimson shell, its entire body covered in blazing flas, with four claws and twelve legs, its eyes protruding outside of its body, the shell resembling a puffed-up loaf of bread.
Sofia seed unaffected by the temperature of the crab's flas, hoisting it into the air by its claw.
"Sofia Alexandra Yevna,"
"what on earth do you want to do?"
Otogirusu spoke softly.
With her hand fan, Sofia lightly traced the crab's body, neither quickly nor forcefully, and the fan was not sharp at all.
Still, the once lively crab suddenly stiffened, a fine slit appearing in its middle, and the two halves of its body slowly slid apart, the cut astonishingly smooth.
The fragrant scent of crab at and roe filled the air, the flas on the crab ceased, and the innately cooked plump crab at and roe shone with an appetizing luster.
Breaking off a crab leg, Sofia brought out a large chunk of crab at and started slurping it up.
While slurping the crab, Sofia leisurely said,
"Didn't I say, the main purpose was to eat crab... Indeed, freshly-killed food is more delicious, have so yourself."
She handed half of the Fla Crab to Otogirusu.
The latter didn't take it, nor did he speak, just gazed at her gently and without any hint of aggression.
Sofia, feeling uneasy under his silent stare as she slurped the crab, sighed,
"There's also a minor matter I ca for."
She sat down on a chair, legs crossed, her ample thighs stacking up.
"This museum recently acquired a rare item..."
Sofia raised her right hand, which had a silver bracelet around her slender wrist.
The bracelet emitted a light, forming a holographic photo in the air.
In the photo was a person whose entire body had a black, transparent, crystalline texture.
Otogirusu's narrow, alluring eyes narrowed slightly, and he uttered the na of the creature in the photo softly,
"A Furnace Noble Species..."
"Boom——!!"
An explosion suddenly occurred inside the glass window; nurous flaming materials were ejected outside, and Otogirusu, without looking back, extended his right hand, erecting an invisible wall of Qi Force that blocked all the flaming materials aid at him.
"Oh? It looks like that boy must have encountered it, based on this commotion," Sofia said casually.
"By the ti I finish this crab, he'll probably have been killed by that Furnace Noble... It's a pity really, such a good-looking fellow, and he seems to fit our 'Troublemaker' philosophy, but still, too young."
"When he dies, I'll take that Furnace Noble with . It's too rare, one of the few Fla Inhabiting Creatures that can resist 'Sky Ice' erosion, and there's a big demand for it back in our Arctic Federation... Little Suzuka, you won't stop , will you?"
Sofia said, smiling mischievously.
Otogirusu shook his head, "I have not been so presumptuous as to imagine I could stop you to such a degree..."
Sofia seed sowhat disappointed, "You're so boring."
Otogirusu laughed nonchalantly, in a gentle tone,
"But you probably won't be able to take the Furnace Noble with you."
Sofia made a curious noise, "Why's that?"
"You underestimate Xue Jun." Otogirusu looked towards the glass window.
But the view was obscured by a massive amount of burning flas, and it was impossible to see what was happening inside.
"The one who will be killed isn't him, but that Furnace Noble."
Sofia snorted, noncommittal, "You must be well aware of what a Furnace Noble entails; you should know even you couldn't make such a thing happen at this point... The guy seems younger than you, too."
Otogirusu pondered for a mont, "Actually, I don't have any basis for that... but my gut tells so."
"From the first mont I saw Xue Jun, I had the feeling... he was invincible in battle."
Sofia said with interest, "Your intuition has always been accurate, this could make things interesting..."
...
The ground was enveloped in roaring flas, the earth itself ford by flowing black magma, with Xue Jing clad in Shadowfla Wrap Armor and wielding the Forgotten Greatsword, standing amidst it all, looking around.
The hundreds of degrees of temperature did not affect him due to the isolation of the Shadow Fla, the only issue being the oxygen was too thin.
Since entering the Fla Habitat Species exhibit, he had killed a total of twelve Fla Inhabiting Creatures, but only three of them possessed Divinity.
The combined Divinity of the three was around three hundred points.
The yield was quite satisfactory.
He hadn't ventured too deep but moved back and forth in an area not far from the glass window, only killing those Fla Inhabiting Creatures that approached, attempting to escape through the breach.
After all, he was just farming for Divinity; there was no need to let these creatures escape and endanger ordinary people.
Even though it was the young girl with the fluffy hair who broke the window, Xue Jing had simply sped up the process... but if he let the Fla Inhabiting Creatures slip out and start a killing spree, he would still bear 2% of the responsibility.
It didn't constitute much of a psychological burden, but it was better avoided nonetheless.
Another creature enveloped in raging flas roared as it charged towards him, Xue Jing couldn't even make out its shape, nor did he bother to look, swinging the Giant Sword in his hand and extinguishing countless flas, while accurately striking at the approaching creature.
