Renea spread her hands innocently and said, "Maybe they were all called by the Great Dragon God to have a family dinner at the Roaring Great Waterfall?"
...
A group of about a dozen people arrived at the creek to rest.
Renea, hugging a small dog-like Daruka, walked to the edge of the creek, preparing to wash her face.
The crystal-clear stream flowed incessantly, and several small fish hid among the crevices of the stones at the bottom of the creek.
Setting the little dog aside, allowing it to drink water on its own, she squatted down.
The water's surface reflected her delicate and lovely features as she scooped up a handful of creek water to moisten her face.
The icy, comfortable sensation brought her a burst of refreshnt, and the irritability in her heart dissipated a great deal.
Wiping the water droplets from her face, Renea opened her eyes.
At that mont, she suddenly noticed that there seed to be sothing extra in the reflection on the clear water.
Above her own head in the water...there appeared to be a tiny person sitting on her head, swinging their little feet.
Renea was stunned, "What is that?"
...
Atop a certain mountain peak, Xue Jing was hiding behind a massive boulder.
At the mont, he appeared sowhat disheveled; his black tactical suit was ragged and torn, with burn holes twisted out of shape.
His dium-length black hair, as if singed by fire, slightly curled.
Most of the skin that was exposed was also a bright red, with so areas even blistering.
He pushed the glasses on the bridge of his nose and peeked out from behind the large rock, glancing up at the sky.
A Dragon Breed, its entire body a fiery red with flas burning on its scales, asuring over ten ters in length with a pair of wings on its back, and looking like a dragon from Western legends, was circling in the sky.
"This is a bit tricky, the flas that this Fire Dragon spits out are too hot...and they seem to have so strange magical properties too; the Shadowfla Wrap Armor lted in an instant," he murmured thoughtfully.
Xue Jing pondered with a contemplative look in his eyes.
"Should I engage it in long-range combat, or..."
He opened the panel and took a glance.
[Divinity: 1249]
After that strange fish Dragon Breed in the lake, he had killed two other Dragon Breeds, each more challenging than the last.
And now, the Fire Dragon he encountered was the third one, positioned closer to the center than the strange fish Dragon Breed.
Its combat strength was also proportionate to its location, far surpassing that of the fish Dragon Breed. From the outset of their battle, Xue Jing had been caught off guard by a blast of its Fiery Dragon's Breath, causing his Shadowfla Wrap Armor to lt away instantly.
If he hadn't activated Twin Speed in ti, moving fast enough to get out of the Dragon Breath's attack range, his injuries would have been more than just minor burns by now.
"With my current Divinity, it's enough to upgrade Shadow Fla to Lv6," he considered.
"Should I upgrade it?" Xue Jing hesitated.
He actually preferred to use the Divinity to transcend his [Fitness] technique.
It was just that the third transcendence condition for [Fitness] had not been t, so he couldn't transcend it yet.
"This Fire Dragon, with my current strength, is not impossible to deal with, but if Shadow Fla is upgraded a level, it will be safer," he reasoned.
"I'll upgrade Shadow Fla first. Divinity should be used when needed, and I can earn more later. After all, there are still quite a few Dragon Breeds I haven't killed yet," Xue Jing decided and clicked to upgrade [Shadow Fla].
[Shadow Fla Lv6 (Divinity Required for Upgrade: 49/2000)]
In the sky above.
The Fire Dragon, still circling, swept its vertical pupils across the surroundings, its eyes filled with rage as it searched for the annoying little insect.
Its patience was not good, and after only a short search, it gave up this inefficient thod.
Subsequently, its mouth began to emit a flamboyant glow.
"Roar—!!"
With a roar, a thick column of Fiery Dragon's Breath was spewed from its mouth, sweeping across the ground.
"Boom, boom, boom—"
Wherever the Fiery Dragon's Breath passed, rocks lted, trees vaporized, leaving a giant ravine in the mountain like an eraser dragging across a page full of writing.
Dragon Breath after Dragon Breath was belched out, ravaging the entire mountain peak into chaos, with lava ford everywhere from the lting rocks and soil.
The great rock where Xue Jing was hiding also lted in the unintended sweep of the Dragon Breath.
However, he had vanished without a trace.
After plowing through the entire surface of the mountain peak and looking at the mountain turned into a red cake covered in lava, the Fire Dragon was sowhat puzzled.
Could it be that tiny bug has already been inadvertently burnt to death?
It couldn't be found anywhere.
The Fire Dragon's wings behind stopped flapping, controlling the biological field, and slowly floated down to the summit.
Its burning feet grabbed onto the magma as it snuffled with its sensitive nose, catching scents.
Apart from the pleasing aroma of char and sulfur, there was indeed nothing else.
It seed that the little bug had been lted into slag under its powerful Fiery Dragon's Breath.
The Fire Dragon proudly snorted, and two flas shot out from its nostrils.
As its massive wings quivered, it was ready to take off and leave.
But, in its blind spot, which it failed to notice.
A shadow was quietly moving, following its right foot on the ground and slowly climbing onto its back.
Just as the Fire Dragon vibrated its wings, ready to take off from the ground.
Within that shadow on its back, a figure was slowly rising up from the shadows.
The full-coverage Dark Enchained Armor, with sharp spikes growing at each joint and on its back - the only visible parts being a pair of indifferent, divinity-filled silver-white eyes - made the figure seem both fierce and exquisite.
The quietly burning Dark Fla decorated the armor, as if releasing dark stream vibrations all over the body, like a Black Knight erging from the Netherworld, guarding the beautiful Queen of the Nether.
"Shadow Lurk..."
Xue Jing's eyes narrowed slightly.
The mont the Shadowfla reached Lv6, he instinctively learned this new usage of the Shadow Fla.
He could hide within shadows and move through them.
"Too bad it seems that due to the need to transform the body into a shadow, this move is sowhat consuming, and..."
He glanced at his right gauntlet that was repairing itself.
"It can't grant immunity to damage..."
"However, its stealth has maxed out."
Xue Jing held his hands above his head.
The Dark Fla quietly gathered in his hands, burning into a pitch-black Spiral Lance.
After reaching Lv6, the Shadow Fla forged weapons were far superior in both appearances and material strength than before.
The silver-white pupils turned vertical.
Within the Eye-Penetrating Flow vision, 'lines' and 'dots' appeared faintly visible on the back of the Fire Dragon.
Spiral grooves spread over his arms, extending to his chest and neck.
Till now, his physical strength was strong enough to bear threefold the power of Whirlwind Thunder.
Add to that the Power of Twins, and it was sixfold!
"Whizz——!!"
The Spiral Lance rotated, reducing air resistance to a minimal, shooting out like a teor and piercing the back of the Fire Dragon below.
The hard, fla-burning scales were effortlessly penetrated, as if stabbing into butter, unobstructed deep into its body.
"Roar——!!"
Amidst a painful, wailing dragon cry, the Fire Dragon struggled wildly, flying chaotically through the air.
Xue Jing held onto the Spiral Lance that had entered the Fire Dragon's body, twisting the handle once.
The lance imdiately underwent a transformation within the Fire Dragon's body, blooming like a lotus, countless black spikes extending from the lance, creating havoc inside the Fire Dragon.
"Roar——!!"
The group resting by the stream in this country suddenly heard a ground-shaking, pitiful dragon cry.
All accompanying Darukas imdiately shivered and lay on the ground, adopting an utterly submissive posture.
"Is that... the Fla Wailing Dragon?"
The middle-aged man exclaid in surprise, watching the Fire Dragon struggling and flying erratically in the sky.
"That's one of the most powerful offspring of the Great Dragon God, what happened? It looks like it's... screaming?"
The middle-aged woman beside him, her eyes wide, said incredulously.
Renea, holding a bowl of water, noticed soone standing on the back of the Fla Wailing Dragon that seed sowhat familiar.
"Is that...?"
She muttered with so confusion.
