Chapter 649: Chapter 428: Tonight, I will enjoy him_2 Chapter 649: Chapter 428: Tonight, I will enjoy him_2 Morgan grew more and more convinced that her idea was excellent, killing three birds with one stone.
So she imdiately said,
“Xi Qiong, take this man with to et Ms. Krer. Whether the Tree Root Settlent can be saved now depends on him…”
“Ah?”
Xi Qiong was very surprised.
She had not expected to have the qualification to et with Ms. Krer.
But soon she figured it out, it was because of Jack… Captain Morgan must have taken a fancy to Jack’s good looks, planning to offer him to those of Upper Rank.
I ca here first…
Xi Qiong felt wronged and repressed inside. She had found this man, and yet before they could even have a modicum of intimacy, she now had to hand him over.
She had entirely forgotten that she was, in actuality, only a guide forced by Chen Lun’s coercion.
“Hmph, don’t think that either of you will escape punishnt!”
Captain Morgan suddenly turned her head to look at the two female Guardians kneeling on the ground.
“For the next half month, your rations are canceled. Find food on your own!”
“Ah…”
The two female Guardians were stunned.
Without the food provided by the settlent, they would have to scrounge for food in the outside areas like the scavengers, which was extrely dangerous.
In the Land of Matthaios, the low-level populace hardly had any surplus food. The region was resource-deprived, and unless one belonged to the noble class, everyone lived from al to al.
Leaving the two female Guardians behind without a second glance, Morgan quickly turned and, with Xi Qiong and Chen Lun, walked into the settlent’s Great Gate.
Once inside, Chen Lun secretly surveyed the interior of the settlent with curiosity.
It was as if he had returned to a feudal society, with technology and living standards quite backward. The streets were narrow and cramped, unevenly laid just with rough stone slabs.
There were no shops in sight, and there were very few pedestrians.
Only low, squat houses built of stone and vines were visible, and so won, dressed in simple, if not skimpy, clothing, were busy with chores like laundering and cooking.
When these won saw Captain Morgan passing by, they all knelt down to pay their respects in awe.
At the sa ti, they saw the handso man following the captain, and they stared blankly, so even blushing and staring obsessively at Chen Lun.
Chen Lun felt sowhat uncomfortable with this.
That gaze was not affection but more like a desire, an intense longing for procreation… He couldn’t help thinking that if it weren’t for Captain Morgan’s authority, these won of the settlent might have sward over him, engulfing him whole.
‘This is a sick and extre world…’
Chen Lun shook his head subtly, keeping his composure.
At that mont, Morgan turned her head and asked him,
“Man, answer , what is your na?”
Her gaze was lowered, not daring to land on Chen Lun’s face, as though she worried she couldn’t control herself and would jeopardize the important matter of the Tree Root Settlent.
“Jack.”
Chen Lun replied calmly.
“Jack…?”
Captain Morgan chewed over the na for a mont, then continued to ask,
“Where are you from?”
“I don’t rember.”
Chen Lun said lightly.
Morgan’s eyebrows furrowed. After taking a deep breath, her tone lowered with a hint of warning,
“I know you most likely co from another major settlent, but no matter how noble your past status, or to which Grand Lord or grand noble you belonged, now that you’ve been captured by our Tree Root Settlent, you are our spoils of war… Soon I will present you to Ms. Orianna, the Lord of Thorn Settlent, understand?”
“Understood.”
Chen Lun nodded slightly on the surface.
But inwardly, he was thinking,
‘Grand Lord? Perhaps this Ms. Orianna, knows more, an opportunity…’
Morgan was quite pleased with Chen Lun’s response.
This was the attitude a man should have, docile and compliant, knowing how to ingratiate oneself.
Before long, Morgan led them deep into the settlent, to the front of the most spacious flat house. Standing outside this building were more than a dozen guards. They were split into two groups, standing on both sides, one group being the local guards of the Tree Root Settlent, and the other from the Thorn Settlent.
The contrast between the two sides was evident, with the guards from the major settlent visibly more robust, with ruddy complexions, relaxed deanors, and superior equipnt.
“I have important matters to report to Ms. Krer, please go inside and pass the ssage.”
Morgan said to the guards.
The Guardians from both sides each sent one person, who turned and entered the house.
The remaining female Guardians feigned seriousness, but they couldn’t help stealing glances at the man behind Morgan and Xi Qiong.
In the quiet environnt, one could faintly hear the sound of swallowing.
Xi Qiong watched with irritation but was powerless to do anything about it.
Not a mont later.
The two Guardians returned and told Morgan she could go in.
So Morgan led Xi Qiong and Chen Lun into the house, and upon entering, Chen Lun saw a stone round table with a woman seated on each side.
Both appeared to be around thirty, with dignified features, wearing long robes made of fur, and their hair was braided into tiny plaits before being tied up in a complicated style, looking neat and tidy with an aura of upper ranks.
“Guard Captain Morgan, I have seen the distinguished Madam Krer and Lady Orianna,”
Morgan crossed her hands on her chest and bowed to pay her respects.
“What brings you here, Morgan?”
The pale, sowhat thin woman Krer asked Morgan calmly.
During the conversation, her gaze fell on Chen Lun, and a flash of amazent and desire passed through her eyes, but she concealed it well.
At the sa ti, Krer hazily guessed the reason for Morgan’s visit.
Morgan stepped forward, leaned down next to Madam Krer, and whispered into her ear.
Madam Krer nodded subtly, her eyes clearly brightening.
“Hmm, I understand. You’ve done well, Morgan.”
Madam Krer nodded in approval, and a pleased expression appeared on Morgan’s face.
“You take Xi Qiong down first. This man nad Jack stays,”
she said indifferently.
“Yes, Madam!”
Morgan gestured to indicate that Xi Qiong’s task was complete, and she left with her.
Unexpectedly, Xi Qiong clenched her fist and suddenly spoke up:
“Madam Krer, I beg you, please let spend a night with Jack. I can also bear a Descendant of Light for the settlent, even if…”
“Get out!”
Madam Krer furrowed her eyebrows and scolded abruptly.
Xi Qiong was startled into a tremor.
Her inner desires and discontent instantly turned into fear.
Morgan’s expression changed, and she quickly subdued Xi Qiong, as the two female Guardians beside her advanced with cold faces, restraining Xi Qiong.
“Forgive , Lady Orianna, for the cody you’ve witnessed,”
Madam Krer apologized to the mature woman across the table, and then she pointed at Chen Lun.
“This man, I would like to give him to you as a gift, only hoping for so ti to be pardoned so our settlent can gather the resources.”
Lady Orianna’s appearance was not bad at all, and even in the Tresor Empire, she could be called a mature beauty.
She smiled and looked Chen Lun over with interest.
Then Lady Orianna stood up, walked gracefully over to him, and laid her fair hand on Chen Lun’s shoulder, gently brushing it.
“Even the Queen’s n I’ve seen are not as handso as you.”
She spoke with a pleasant voice.
“Thank you for your complint, Lady Orianna,”
Chen Lun said calmly.
Lady Orianna’s eyelids dropped montarily, lost in thought, and then she laughed again, turning her head to look at Krer.
“Madam Krer, I like your gift very much… Alright, I accept your request,”
“Thank you for your generosity,”
Krer quickly stood up, joyfully bowing to her, silently heaving a sigh of relief.
At the sa ti, a sense of reluctance flashed in the eyes of the settlent’s Leader.
Such a fine man, and even she had not yet had a taste of him, what a pity…
“I plan to rest at your settlent tonight and return to Thorn Settlent in the morning.”
Lady Orianna said with a laugh.
Anticipation flickered in her eyes, her red lips parted slightly:
“Tonight, I shall enjoy him.”
