Their expressions carried a smile, but their eyes held a half-hidden threat.
While speaking, one of the female guards unabashedly sized up Chen Lun’s face and physique before her gaze moved lower, licking her tongue.
She even stepped forward, eager to touch the man’s body.

Xi Qiong lashed out with a palm strike, but it was blocked by the guard’s raised arm, emitting a dull sound.
“You dare attack a Guardian? Do you not want to live? Even if we kill you now, Lady Krer wouldn’t say a thing!”
The female guard said with a malicious tone.
“If you dare touch him, I will fight you to the death even at the risk of my own life!”
Xi Qiong glared back fearlessly.
The two female guards looked at each other and smiled, their mocking intention even more intense.
“Fight us to the death? Do you think we’re Guardians for nothing, enjoying the settlent’s at every day? It’s because our strength is greater! Such a low-level ‘Descendant of Darkness,’ a bottom-rung scavenger, dares to defy us!”
The female guard raised her stone spear, aiming it at Xi Qiong, as if ready to pierce with it should Xi Qiong make any rash moves.
The atmosphere suddenly beca tense.
Xi Qiong was full of unwillingness and resentnt; although she had anticipated that bringing Jack back to the settlent would lead to such a situation, she was helpless to do anything about it.
“Go to hell!”
She gritted her teeth, steeled her heart, and imdiately stirred up the Soulless Power, swinging her fist at the guard.
The two female guards, instead of panicking, showed a hint of excitent.
If Xi Qiong dared to make a move, they could take the opportunity to kill her and then rightfully snatch away the young and handso man to claim as their own.

“Lady Krer is currently receiving Queen Orianna of Thorn Settlent. If the Queen’s attendants see you fighting here, it will be our entire settlent’s face lost!”
Morgan scolded.
Underneath her deep red short hair, those sharp eyes conveyed severity.
“The leader of a large settlent?! I… we realize our mistake now, Captain Morgan, please forgive us!”
Hearing this, the two female guards instantly grasped the severity of the matter and knelt down on the spot, begging with their heads pressed against the ground.
Morgan frowned and turned her head towards Xi Qiong, ready to ask what had happened, but her gaze was instantly drawn to the man behind her.
Morgan’s expression froze, her eyes fixated on Chen Lun’s face.
She had never seen such a young and handso man before…
For a mont, she even uncontrollably entertained the thought of procreating with him. But quickly, Morgan regained her composure with her willpower and averted her gaze, resisting the temptation to look at the face that had stirred her.
“What’s going on? Xi Qiong, where did you find this man?!”
Morgan asked with a trembling voice.

Xi Qiong was scared by the other’s blushing face, mistaking it for Morgan’s anger.

Morgan was slightly puzzled.
Xi Qiong opened her mouth, looked back at Chen Lun, and ultimately decided to hide the truth.
She didn’t ntion that Jack was from the surface, fearing it would bring him trouble.
Morgan’s brows furrowed, and she found herself in a dilemma.

But Morgan knew that the Root Settlent had nothing more to offer… and this could very likely enrage Queen Orianna!
If they couldn’t earn the protection of a large settlent, the Root Settlent might be destroyed in the next Pollution Tide!
“Perhaps I could bring this man to her, let Lady Krer present him personally to Queen Orianna to appease her Wrath, compensate for this supply shipnt, and shift this trouble elsewhere.”
