Chapter 472: Chapter 333: Encircle the Points to Strike the Reinforcents
The tension between the Black Knife Brotherhood and the Circus was observed by Corliss and Tobin.
But they didn’t speak up to diate, seemingly having no intention of intervening.
Chen Lun glanced at Roxanne, the tall woman who was sizing him up with a cold gaze, as if she were looking at a whole piece of pork.
He was well aware that her hostility stemd from the internal strife between two factions within the Mutual Aid Society—the Black Knife Brotherhood and the Murder Club originated from the sa source, yet they had long been in a state of mutual hostility and competition.
‘The Twilight Tea Party must have already started making contact with the Black Knife Brotherhood. This woman’s knowledge of my other identity is very likely due to those Transcendents from the Destiny Faction providing them with information about behind the scenes…’

It appeared that Roxanne’s animosity was not directed at “Jack Spett,” but at the Murder Club’s Golden Cup mber “Qiaoke,” because Chen Lun’s other identity was their enemy… the enemy competing for a vacant seat at the Righteous God Church!
“Since Mr. Jack and Miss Roxanne are both reluctant to act together, shall we split into two groups? How about that?”
Corliss proposed gently.
“Our Shelter and Miss Roxanne will head directly to the Red Apple Church, while Mr. Jack, you will accompany Bishop Tobin of the Moon Church, responsible for support. If you co across any sign of the Red Rose Squad, restrain them imdiately.”
“Okay, I agree to this proposal.”
Chen Lun nodded slightly.
The old man in the black robe and the woman in the wide-brimd hat had no objections, implicitly agreeing to this plan.
At that mont, Bishop Tobin took out an ancient wooden hourglass. Holding it in one hand, he made a prayer gesture of the Moon Church with the other.
The pale purple moonlight blood from the hourglass. The old man reached out into the air and a small handful of fine sand appeared in his palm. He then spread out his hand, and the sand slowly floated up.
“Take a grain of sand with you, and you can avoid the influence of the ‘Nightfall Domain,'” said Bishop Tobin.
Everyone nodded and each took a grain of fine sand from his hand.
Chen Lun, pinching the sand between his fingers, received a notification on his panel. The old man’s hourglass was the Moon Church’s [A-rank Mysterious Object – Silent Night Sands], and the surrounding Nightfall was created by it.
A thin crack suddenly opened in the skin of his fingertip, swallowing the grain of sand, then healed over, making it look as though the sand had disappeared into thin air.

Once everyone was ready, Bishop Tobin lifted the hourglass and led the way through the barrier.
The towering and unusually sturdy barriers twisted and parted under the dim purple glow of the hourglass, creating a “doorway” for everyone to pass through.
Chen Lun had Maggie, Connie, and Alec stay inside the carriage and also arranged for eight Black Crystal puppets to guard it. Soon after, he led his other companions to follow Corliss and the others inside the enclosure.

His Spiritual Intuition sent a premonition; a vague warning began to illuminate his mind. Chen Lun reflexively looked towards Roxanne and the Black Knife Assassins, and sure enough, the woman was looking back at him with a smile that mingled with an ambiguous aning.
After Roxanne indifferently withdrew her gaze, Chen Lun, expressionless, engaged “ntal Sharing.”
The severe voice of Mr. Jack suddenly resounded in the minds of Floey, Noah, and the trio of Antonio and Golov: “If the Black Knife Brotherhood makes any moves, kill them on the spot.”

After seeing the cue in Chen Lun’s eyes, they quickly realized it was the Leader’s transcendent ability.

After entering the enclosure, the surrounding light dimd imdiately.
It wasn’t pitch black, but it was as gloomy and silent as a night when the stars and moon were obscured.
This area used to be the bustling city center of Pine Sand City, but it had now beco a land of death. It was filled with nurous Fallen Believers and the Transcendent Monks of the Red Apple Church, hunting, kidnapping, and sacrificing living people.
They hadn’t gone far when they split into two teams and went their separate ways.
Chen Lun led his team and six people from the Moon Church down the street. Apart from Bishop Tobin, the other five cloaked monks were Mid Sequence Transcendents. From their attitude, it was clear the Moon Church was one of the few entities within the Righteous God Church willing to expend efforts to combat the Red Calamity, which caused Chen Lun to reflect inwardly.

His usually drooping eyelids opened as he looked at Chen Lun.
“Fortunate to have the blessing and favor of the Moon Goddess, you must be a friend of our Church. I hope you’ll be cautious of those from the Black Knife Brotherhood… I sense malicious intent from them.”
“Thank you for the warning, Bishop Tobin. I will be careful.”
