Obito and Black Zetsu indeed made their escape.
Initially, they were eagerly anticipating the battle of the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki.
However, after a brief exchange, the "Gensou" of this world suddenly extracted the Ten-Tails from himself and handed it over to the real Gensou, allowing him to beco the complete Ten-Tails Jinchūriki.
"What is he doing?!"
Obito, who had witnessed "Gensou's" extraordinary power, was in utter disbelief.
All the effort he had put into assisting him was to see sothing astonishing in return.
But now, instead of amazent, all he felt was terror—a lethal kind.
Obito felt like all his plans and trust had been misplaced.
"It's too late for regrets; we need to run now!" Black Zetsu, experienced as always, reminded him urgently.
Gensou was already powerful, and now, fused with the complete Ten-Tails—even if it was a lesser version—their odds of resistance were nonexistent.
If they didn't flee now, there would be no second chance.
Hearing this, Obito snapped out of it and quickly fled with Black Zetsu.
Gensou, alerted to their retreat, glanced in their direction but soon retracted his gaze indifferently.
At this mont, "Gensou" remarked, "Obito can be killed, but Black Zetsu might be trickier."
Gensou nodded knowingly.
Black Zetsu, being a creation of the Sage of Six Paths, had survived for millennia, orchestrating countless conflicts between the reincarnations of Asura and Indra. With such extensive experience in escape, it was no surprise he managed to stay alive this long.
Thus, Gensou set his sights on Obito as his primary target.
He turned his attention to his other self, who stood tall despite his weakening aura, refusing to falter.
Understanding that his other self neither needed pity nor concern, Gensou gave a final nod of acknowledgnt and farewell:
"Goodbye."
"Goodbye?"
"Gensou" chuckled softly, shaking his head without further words, his eyes fixed on the sky, full of mories.
Gensou did not disturb him further.
In a flash, he floated into the air, speeding toward Obito and Black Zetsu's escape route.
Obito kept glancing back nervously.
Soon, he noticed Gensou approaching at a speed beyond imagination, and his expression changed drastically.
"It's ti to end the Infinite Tsukuyomi!" Black Zetsu exclaid, noticing the sa. "If we stay in this world any longer, we'll face not only Gensou empowered as the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki but also his forces spread across the Shinobi World. The pressure here far exceeds that of the real world."
Feeling the unrestrained killing intent closing in from behind, Obito, aware that Gensou was not distracted by this world, gritted his teeth.
Realizing his plan had completely failed and that staying would likely an his end, Obito hesitated no longer. Forming hand seals rapidly, he released the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
In an instant, white light enveloped Obito.
Not just him—Black Zetsu and Gensou, who was pursuing them, were also surrounded by the light.
As the glow made their bodies increasingly translucent, Gensou halted, ceasing his pursuit of the pair.
Surveying this world, which aligned so perfectly with his desires, he took a mont to direct his gaze toward the Gensou clan's lands.
At that mont, Haru was enjoying the aftertaste of a large bag of ice pops while eagerly reading a biography of her beloved Gensou-nii written by her older cousin from the Yamanaka family.
Gensou's shadow clone stood quietly nearby, observing without interruption.
Until he sensed sothing.
The shadow clone gave Haru a deep look before standing up and addressing her softly:
"I need to take care of sothing. Make sure to take care of yourself, eat nutritious food, and stop eating so many ice pops, or you won't grow taller, okay?"
"Got it!"
Assuming her beloved Gensou-nii was only stepping out briefly as usual, Haru bead at him and then dove back into her book, her eyes sparkling with excitent.
It turns out Gensou-nii had so many untold stories!
Her cousin knew them all!
No way!
I have to surpass her!
Determined, Haru buried herself in the book.
Gensou didn't interrupt her again.
After patting her head one last ti and engraving her image in his mory, he turned and left.
As he crossed the threshold, Haru's voice suddenly rang out from behind him:
"Gensou-nii, you'll co back, right?"
For so reason, Haru felt a pang of sadness in her heart.
Looking up with her bright eyes, she clutched the book tightly, watching Gensou-nii's departing figure and asking instinctively.
Gensou paused, intending to say "yes," but found the words stuck in his throat.
Instead, he nodded silently before continuing forward, disappearing from her sight.
Poof!
White smoke erupted.
A thousand miles away, Gensou received the mories from his shadow clone and sighed softly.
As his body dissolved into the light, he cast one final glance at this world, feeling a sudden premonition.
Perhaps, he might see it again one day.
He hoped so.
With that thought, Gensou completely dissolved into the white light, leaving the world of the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Just as when he had first been caught in the technique, everything around him was shrouded in white.
Who knew how much ti had passed?
When his vision finally cleared, he found himself standing in the sa spot as before, with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path towering behind him.
Nothing had changed, as though only a second had passed in reality.
And indeed, it hadn't been much longer—he verified as much.
What had been several days within the Infinite Tsukuyomi had amounted to less than a minute in the real world.
Gensou then noticed the fading Six Paths robes and the Ten-Tails within him becoming increasingly illusory.
"Kyōka Suigetsu?"
Rather than futile resistance, he allowed the robes and the Ten-Tails to vanish entirely.
Everything returned to its original state.
All that remained was the indelible mory etched in his mind.
"The Six Paths Yin-Yang Life and Death Realm."
Gensou pondered over many things, though only briefly.
Having made up his mind, he lifted his gaze, piercing through the dense rock walls toward the distance.
"Trying to escape?"
Sensing Obito's chakra signature not far away, Gensou smirked coldly. Calmly, he retrieved a container holding Obito's Mangekyō Sharingan.
With a simple eye transplantation technique, he replaced his left Rinnegan with the Mangekyō Sharingan.
Now, with his left eye glowing a blood-red hue featuring a shuriken pattern and his right eye maintaining its purple Rinnegan swirls, Gensou adapted quickly.
Taking a step forward, he accelerated toward Obito.
It was ti to swat this buzzing fly once and for all.
