Chapter Thirty-Three: The Locusts That Devour Ti

The gaze carried an evaluative aning, as if trying to uncover so clue about him, to find his origins.

Though this gaze did not carry malice, the will within it was extrely powerful, surpassing the strength typical of an awakened individual.

Morning Star?

A fleeting thought crossed Lu Yu’s mind, but it didn’t affect his judgnt. He quickly understood the other person’s intentions.

This gaze was a show of authority—a test to see if he was worthy to speak!

“Hmph!”

Lu Yu let out a soft cold hum, and the shadow energy around him began to fluctuate. His passive ability, Ti Protection, was also activated!

Ti Protection: Can block divination, fortune-telling, spying, and other similar abilities, concealing one’s traces.

Being connected to one of the supre laws—Ti—although a passive skill, was far from cheap. In fact, its functionality was incredibly strong. At least, it would allow him to change his “mask” freely without fear of being discovered!

“Eh!”

The white-haired man with the fox mask let out a confused sound. In his eyes, Lu Yu, now wrapped in shadow, beca even more unfathomable. His aura transford into sothing intangible, like…

Sothing formless and intangible!

As his gaze deepened, the white-haired man felt the world in front of him begin to shift. A mysterious, distant aura spread out, carrying an ancient aning that cleverly fused with this new era.

This strange change stirred the white-haired man’s curiosity, causing his gaze to grow even more intense.

But in that mont, Ti Protection activated.

With a wave of heat, a mysterious pattern appeared on the back of Lu Yu’s hand, hidden beneath his yellow robes. A golden locust, the size of a fingertip, crawled out from the pattern!

It resembled a locust, but its entire body was golden, and each antenna and limb was exquisitely crafted, like the work of the finest artist.

The only difference was its compound eyes, which looked like they were made of countless faceted, sparkling diamonds, radiating a silent, srizing light!

Countless images flickered in the compound eyes, then shattered like bubbles, repeating over and over.

Ti Locusts!

Once it appeared, the locust slowly raised its head. Despite its insect-like form, its body was so exquisite that, rather than being frightening, it gave off a cute aura, like a rare and delicate collectible.

But it was no re plaything.

Zzz!

With a faint sound, the locust opened its sharp mandibles, releasing an invisible sonic wave that spread out over Lu Yu’s body, transforming into an intangible mist of ti.

This mist dissolved all forms of spying, divination, fortune-telling, astrology, and similar mystical powers, turning them into the power of the Ti Locust.

And the ti force within the mist was as poisonous as a lethal toxin to ordinary people—a terrifying barrier.

The mont the white-haired man’s mind touched the ti mist, it was as though he had entered a swamp. A portion of his consciousness was directly dissolved, severing his connection.

“Impossible!”

Realizing the situation, the white-haired man attempted to break free. But in front of him, a hallucination suddenly appeared—a giant locust, blotting out the sky!

The enormous phantom silently hovered behind Lu Yu, as though serving the master of endless years.

There was a river of water flowing by the locust’s side, as though extending a tributary of a vast river. However, when the white-haired man looked more closely, he was stunned by what he saw!

The flowing water contained countless images—birth, death, love, hatred, separation—countless scenes interwoven, as though forming a vast world.

It wasn’t water at all, but ti!

The river of ti!

Ti, like a blade, cuts down all—be they beautiful or heroic—turning them to bones, and after a hundred years, returning them to the earth!

And the locust actually opened its mouth, devouring a small segnt of the stream and swallowing it whole!

It!

Was devouring ti!

And with his continued gaze, the white-haired man felt his own life force being hastily drained, as if an invisible hand had pressed a shortcut key, making his years slip away rapidly!

In just a few seconds, he had lost several months of his life!

Such horror!

Escape! I must escape!

Otherwise, I will surely die!

The white-haired man made a snap decision, abandoning part of his consciousness and breaking free.

But the backlash still struck his mind, causing his blood to surge and his head to spin. He couldn’t help but spit out a mouthful of blood!

Pfft!

Crimson blood spilled onto the ground, blooming into a blood-red flower—beautiful yet eerie.

“Master!”

The man in the geisha mask roared, his body expanding further, growing over three tres tall. His eyes turned fierce, glaring at Lu Yu like a savage beast, ready to charge and crush Lu Yu to bits!

“Ghost Bear, no disrespect!”

The white-haired man barked sharply, calming the enraged giant, who nodded in submission.

“Understood, Master!”

The white-haired man wiped the blood from his mouth, stood, and respectfully bowed. He looked at Lu Yu with the sa reverence in his eyes and said humbly:

“Greetings, my lord!”

The Ti Locust!

The ancient aura!

The mysterious shadowy veil!

All these factors combined made the white-haired man instantly realize.

The person before him was absolutely a major figure!
