Through the flawless cooperation of Charles, dusa, and Little Green, the Desert Giant Scorpion was finally poisoned to death by dusa's venom.
The Desert Giant Scorpion, being a seventh-tier monster, provided an exceptionally rich bounty upon its demise.
Charles's power level directly ascended from mid-tier five to high-tier five, leaving him only a step away from reaching the sixth tier.
In addition to his power increase, Charles also discovered several weapons within the corpse of the Desert Giant Scorpion. These weapons were all transford from the limbs of the Desert Giant Scorpion.
Among these weapons, there was one of golden quality, which signifies that this weapon possesses extrely formidable lethality.
[Na: Scorpion Tail of Venom]
[Quality: Gold]
[Weapon Type: One-Handed Weapon]
[Weapon Skills: Sudden Thrust, Venom Attack]
[Weapon Description: A relic left behind after the demise of the mighty Desert Giant Scorpion. The scorpion's tail retains a significant amount of venom, which enables the Scorpion Tail of Venom to swiftly poison enemies upon contact.]
Charles was exceedingly satisfied with the [Scorpion Tail of Venom].
He carefully placed this exceptional piece of equipnt into his backpack. Then, he decided it was ti to return to the temporary camp with dusa and Little Green.
"Do you think Eck and Johann will be alright? We haven't been gone for too long." Charles inquired of dusa and Little Green.
dusa shook her head, a hint of skepticism in her eyes. "I think those two are a bit too foolish. So, I wouldn't be too surprised if they ran into so kind of trouble."
Little Green did not respond to Charles' question.
The reason being, Little Green had little to no interest in humans. All of Little Green's attention was entirely focused on Charles and dusa.
Charles and his companions had barely walked a short distance when the three of them simultaneously sensed the presence of a significant number of monsters in their vicinity.
"It seems our previous battle has drawn monsters from other areas as well.
We need to leave here as quickly as possible. Although our strength is sufficient to deal with these monsters, engaging them will greatly deplete our energy.
If we encounter any unexpected situations afterwards, we might not have the stamina to handle them."
Charles imdiately made a decisive judgnt.
With urgency in his movents, he led dusa and Little Green back to the temporary camp at the fastest pace possible.
However, as they were still so distance away from the camp, they suddenly encountered two more Desert Giant Scorpions. In addition to the Desert Giant Scorpions, other desert monsters were also lying in wait for them.
"It seems we won't be able to return to the temporary camp swiftly. We should eliminate all these monsters we've encountered first."
Charles imdiately launched an attack on the monsters in front of him, wielding his newly acquired weapon.
dusa and Little Green naturally coordinated their actions with Charles.
The combined strength of the three was formidable, allowing them to swiftly vanquish the monsters they faced.
However, for every monster they managed to vanquish, a new one would inevitably erge.
As ti went by, Charles gradually began to sense that sothing was amiss. It seed as though they had unwittingly fallen into a ticulously crafted trap set by their adversaries.
"We have already slain so many monsters, why are there even more coming our way? We can't afford to waste any more ti here, we must find the mastermind behind this."
"It is impossible for so many desert creatures to gather here simply because of our previous battle. Soone must have deliberately brought them together."
Charles quickly ca to this conclusion.
Both dusa and Little Green concurred with Charles's conclusion.
Yet, the pressing question remained: where should they comnce their search for the true culprit?
Just as Charles and his companions found themselves in a state of confusion, Eck and Johann suddenly appeared not far from them.
"Why are you here? Didn't I instruct you to stay within the protective formation? Your presence here will only hinder us.
Upon seeing Eck and Johann, dusa's face contorted with a visible expression of anger.
Eck hastily offered a response.
"The protective formation has failed. A horde of monsters attacked our temporary camp. We had no choice but to co here and seek your help. Look, I didn't even have ti to grab my belongings."
Charles glanced at Eck and Johann, and indeed, he noticed that only Johann had managed to bring his luggage. This ant that Eck had left all his belongings back at the temporary camp.
The situation was beyond what Charles had anticipated.
Charles felt he needed to carefully contemplate the appropriate course of action.
While contemplating, Charles had to continue fighting.
Witnessing this, Eck imdiately offered his suggestion: "Even though my strength is not formidable, I believe that in this dire situation, I must contribute. Can you provide with a weapon? I can join the battle as well."
Facing Eck's volunteered intention to join the battle, both Charles and dusa hesitated.
They both believed that Eck's strength wouldn't contribute significantly to the victory of the battle.
Moreover, if Eck recklessly joined the fight, he could likely be killed by the monsters.
dusa shook her head.
"Although we've encountered so difficulties in the fight, up until now, we don't require your assistance. You should prioritize your own safety."
After saying this, dusa re-engaged in the battle.
However, dusa's words did not seem to have the desired effect.
Eck and Johann still lingered on the edge of the battlefield. They appeared determined to join the fight.
Charles began to feel slightly irritated by their actions.
"Didn't you hear what dusa said? Follow her instructions imdiately!"
Charles cast an angry glance at Eck and Johann.
However, with just that glance, he suddenly noticed that both Eck and Johann's expressions were sowhat peculiar.
Johann stood silently behind Eck, but from Johann's eyes, it was evident to Eck that Johann was deeply fearful of him.
To Charles, this seed extrely odd.
Although Eck had a more dominant personality compared to Johann, Johann shouldn't be so frightened of Eck under any circumstances.
As Charles looked at Eck again, with a hint of doubt, he suddenly noticed a subtle difference in Eck's facial expression compared to before.
Eck was willing to offer help to Charles and the others, but he prioritized his own safety much more.
Under normal circumstances, Eck would never risk leaving the protective formation. Even if forced out by the suddenly appearing monsters, Eck wouldn't want to join the battle.
"The Eck in front of is an imposter!"
Charles imdiately considered the most likely scenario.
In that instant, an image of the blind old man from the underground region of Rock Fortress flashed in Charles's mind.
Though the Eck before him looked entirely different from the blind old man, Charles detected a similar trait between the two.
Charles swiftly made a judgnt, he believed the Eck in front of him was also a disguise by a skeletal lizard.
While battling, Charles spoke to dusa, "You and Little Green hold off the monsters in front of . I will first deal with the creatures around Eck and Johann. After all, we need to ensure their safety."
Charles's words left dusa and Little Green slightly puzzled.
Nevertheless, they still executed Charles's command.
After extricating himself, Charles moved towards Eck and Johann with the fastest speed.
Charles didn't target the monsters, he directly aid his attack at Eck.
The [Scorpion Tail of Venom] struck Eck's heart directly.
Eck's smile quickly vanished, replaced by an expression of confusion and anger.
"Why are you attacking ? I am your comrade! Is this how you treat your allies?!" Eck angrily questioned Charles.
At this mont, Charles was fully convinced that the person in front of him was not Eck.
Because the real Eck wouldn't be able to withstand the [Scorpion Tail of Venom]'s attack.
Eck's body quickly disintegrated, and as it did, a skeletal lizard darted swiftly not far from Charles.
"Didn't expect you to discover ! But even if you've seen through my disguise, you won't be leaving here safely. I've gathered enough monsters, and they will devour all of you."
After saying this, the skeletal lizard attempted to burrow into the sand.
However, before it could completely subrge, two daggers pinned it in place.
The skeletal lizard's gaze followed the direction from which the daggers ca, and a massive Zerg Queen appeared in its line of sight. This Zerg Queen was none other than Little Green.
"Did you really think we were unprepared?" dusa's voice ca from the other side.
After noticing sothing unusual in Charles's command, dusa and Little Green imdiately suspected that an abnormal situation might arise.
They deduced that the anomaly could only stem from Eck and Johann, so they had already prepared for any potential threat from them.
The skeletal lizard had severely underestimated Charles and his companions and was about to pay dearly for its rashness.
