Fontaine’s face turned bitter as he shook his head.

Yuga fell silent in thought for a mont and then said, "The problem mainly lies with Magearna’s Soul-Heart. I wonder if I can remove it and take a look?"

"This..."

Fontaine was montarily unsure how to respond. The Soul-Heart was Magearna’s most important component. For hundreds of years, it had never once been removed. And now he was being asked to let an outsider handle it... he felt uneasy.

So Yuga told wtwo everything about Magearna.

After learning that there existed such a chanical lifeform as Magearna, wtwo imdiately beca interested and took the Soul-Heart from Yuga’s hands to study it.

Seeing this, Yuga imdiately said with concern, "Be gentle, don’t damage Magearna!"

wtwo didn’t even turn around and replied, "Don’t worry."

wtwo placed the Soul-Heart onto a machine, which imdiately emitted a beam of light that enveloped it. Soon after, a projection of the Soul-Heart appeared on a screen at the front of the lab.

wtwo studied it with great focus, bringing the two owstics and the Rotom Computer over to help. Partway through, it even complained to Yuga, saying that its research was getting more and more complicated and that just two owstics weren’t enough as assistants. It hoped Yuga could find a few more helpers.

Yuga agreed and decided to ask the tagross clan later to see if any of them would be willing to co and assist in the lab.

Yuga never expected that the core of Magearna’s Soul-Heart would actually be a modified Giant Rock Fragnt. That unique and powerful energy fluctuation was unmistakable to him.

The Giant Rock was originally brought back to the Pokémon world from space by Rayquaza. When Rayquaza passed through the atmosphere carrying the Giant Rock, a small piece of it was fractured off due to the atmospheric impact and eventually fell onto the Kalos Region, where it was later picked up by Nikola.

The Giant Rock fragnt contained mysterious power, and inspired by it, Nikola created Magearna. However, the initial attempt wasn’t fully successful.

With the inspiration from a friend, Nikola sought out Xerneas, the God of Life in the Kalos region. With the help of Xerneas’s Fairy Aura, Magearna was truly awakened.

This is also why the literature of the Fairy Remnants recorded that Fairy Aura could awaken Magearna.

The friend who inspired Nikola was, in fact, a mber of the Fairy Remnants over five hundred years ago. He was also a scientist and had a very close relationship with Nikola. The two of them often discussed research and inventions together.
