That noon, after sailing on the water for a long ti, the ghost ship finally docked. Serena, Clemont, and the others were preparing lunch by the shore, while Yuga trained Diancie on the nearby grassy field.

Today, Diancie was scheduled to battle against Bellossom. Bellossom launched sharp, blade-like Magical Leaves in rapid succession, fiercely attacking Diancie, who could do nothing but dodge clumsily and frantically.

"Diancie, don't just focus on dodging! You need to face Bellossom's attacks head-on and counterattack!" Yuga shouted loudly as a reminder.

"N-No... I can't do it!" Diancie replied in a trembling voice.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Several more Magical Leaves shot toward Diancie's feet. Unable to dodge in ti, Diancie stumbled and fell to the ground.

"Diancie, get up and fight back!!!" Yuga barked sharply, his tone unconsciously carrying a commanding edge.

"Yes!" Startled by Yuga's stern voice, Diancie quickly scrambled to her feet and fired a Moonblast at Bellossom.

Boom!!!

With a loud explosion, the silver beam blasted a huge crater into the ground.

As a naturally born Mythical Pokémon, Diancie's stats were inherently stronger than those of ordinary Pokémon. So it wasn't that she couldn't defeat Bellossom; rather, her combat instincts were far too weak.

Yuga had specifically instructed that Diancie could only use Fairy-type moves during battle because, at this point, the most urgent need for Diancie was to improve her understanding and control of Fairy-type energy.

And battling was the fastest shortcut for her to familiarize herself with and master Fairy-type energy.

However, this training thod was technically incorrect. It risked Diancie developing poor battle habits, such as subconsciously relying solely on Fairy-type moves, which could limit the expansion of her combat strategies.

But given Diancie's current situation, she had to improve her Fairy-type abilities as quickly as possible to create a foundation for learning Fairy Aura.

"Keep attacking—don't stop!" Yuga commanded again.

"Yes!" Diancie instinctively followed Yuga's instructions, launching one Moonblast after another toward Bellossom.

Bellossom, with far more battle experience than Diancie, easily dodged the dense barrage of attacks each ti and seized opportunities to counterattack.

"Diancie, observe how Bellossom fights. Don't just focus on avoiding attacks. Running away won't solve the problem!" Yuga's voice rang out beside Diancie's ears.

"Yes!"

This ti, Diancie responded crisply because, after actively launching attacks, she realized that attacking others wasn't as difficult as she'd thought.

This must be what they an by "the first step is always the hardest."

"Ah!"

Just as this thought crossed her mind, she was struck by an Energy Ball from Bellossom. Crying out in pain, she fell to the ground again.

"Don't hesitate after falling! Either dodge imdiately or counterattack on the spot!" Yuga's voice rang out once more.

Instinctively, Diancie used Dazzling Gleam right where she had fallen, reflecting Bellossom's incoming Energy Ball back.

"Very good! Keep it up!" Yuga praised encouragingly.

Under Yuga's continuous instructions, Diancie quickly transitioned from being completely passive and taking hits to being able to engage in an evenly matched battle with Bellossom.

Mythical Pokémon are naturally gifted like this—their starting point in life is far above that of ordinary Pokémon. As long as they accumulate enough battle experience, they can rapidly develop combat power.

However, just as Diancie began to build a bit of confidence, Yuga increased the challenge, turning her single opponent into two: one was Breloom, skilled in close combat, and the other was Roserade, adept at long-range attacks.

Whenever Diancie cried out that she was tired, Yuga would simply cast a healing light beam onto her.

With a burst of speed, Breloom appeared beside Diancie in the blink of an eye, raising its fist to strike.

Diancie had just dodged this punch when a barrage of Sludge Bombs from Roserade exploded upon impact, hitting her squarely.

At this mont, Diancie felt utterly powerless—she couldn't win the fight, nor could she successfully evade the attacks.

"Diancie, the only moves you can use right now are Fairy-type. You need to try to develop them!" Yuga continued to remind her.

"But I don't know what to do!"

Roserade and Breloom's attacks rained down like a storm, showing no rcy despite Diancie's desperate struggle. Her voice even began to tremble with the hint of tears.

"Then think. Use your brain. Feel the Fairy energy within you—connect with it. If you understand it, it will naturally guide you on what to do."

Watching from the shadows, Jessie glared resentfully at Yuga. "That brat is so cruel, treating my adorable Diancie so harshly. I'll definitely teach him a lesson when I get the chance!"

Jas, looking exasperated, replied, "I don't think you'll ever get that chance." Jessie teaching Yuga a lesson? That would have to wait until the next life.

"What did you say?!" Jessie, furious at Jas's dismissive attitude, punched him.

"But Jas isn't wrong, nya," owth chid in. "Besides, that kid is doing this for Diancie's own good. Only by enduring hardships can you learn remarkable skills!"

owth couldn't help but recall his own tough past—if not for all the hardships he endured, how could he have ever learned to speak human language?

"Besides, if Diancie doesn't work hard, how are we going to rely on her to produce lots and lots of diamonds? Don't you want endless fried chicken and mountains of gold coins?" owth squinted, lost in daydreams.

They had already learned that due to Diancie's insufficient abilities, the diamonds she created could only exist for a short ti.

"Lots... of diamonds..." Jessie imdiately began to fantasize as well, nearly drooling.

Having grown up in a life of luxury, Jas watched his companions with a helpless expression, shaking his head in resignation.

True to her status as a Mythical Pokémon, Diancie's potential was indeed awakened under Yuga's relentless "pressure."

At that mont, an illusory full moon floated above her head. The silver beams cascading from it split into multiple rays, each one firing toward Roserade, forcing her to retreat step by step.

Seeing this, Breloom tried to assist Roserade, swinging a punch at Diancie, but a sudden colorful barrier appeared beside Diancie, deflecting Breloom and sending it flying.

As the battle with Roserade and Breloom dragged on, Diancie's mastery of Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam grew increasingly flexible and precise.

Gradually, insights into how to harness Fairy-type energy began to surface in Diancie's mind. Each ti this happened, she felt as though she had grasped sothing important, but the feeling would vanish in an instant, leaving her puzzled.

Just then, Bonnie ran over and shouted, "Yuga! Diancie! Lunchti!"

"Got it, we're coming!" Yuga responded, then turned to Diancie. "That's it for this morning's training. You did great, but keep up the hard work!"

Hearing this, Roserade and Breloom imdiately halted their attacks, while Diancie collapsed onto the ground.

"Finally, it's over!"

After each day of training, Diancie would always involuntarily think: I've... I've survived another day.

Seeing this, Yuga waved his hand, and a beam of healing light descended on Diancie, relieving its fatigue.

When they returned to the riverside, Serena had already set up lunch and the dining table. Once everyone was gathered, she cheerfully announced, "Alright, ti to eat!"

"Serena, is Diancie's lunch ready too?" Yuga asked as he sat down.

Serena smiled slightly and replied, "Don't worry, it's all prepared!"

As she spoke, she placed two lunchboxes in front of Diancie. One contained translucent, top-grade Fairy-type energy cubes, and the other was filled with Fairy Gems.

Diancie's daily training load was imnse. To maintain its internal energy balance, Yuga allocated part of the top-grade energy cubes originally prepared for Madam Hua Jie to Diancie.

In addition, to help Diancie quickly accumulate energy, Yuga also provided it with precious Fairy Gems, requiring it to absorb one each day.

The energy within type-specific gems was incredibly pure; otherwise, they wouldn't be classified as strategic resources by the League. Typically, even Elite-level Pokémon couldn't absorb more than half a gem at a ti, yet Diancie could easily handle one per day without any strain.

anwhile, Jessie and the others, hidden in the shadows, stared enviously at Yuga's group enjoying their lavish al, drooling with longing.

"So hungry, ow..." owth groaned weakly, clutching its stomach—right on cue, its belly rumbled loudly.

As if triggered by owth's growl, both Jessie's and Jas's stomachs started grumbling in succession.

"Ugh! Why do I have to suffer like this?!" Jessie angrily yanked out the grass root she had been chewing on and complained furiously.

"Well, we're broke—that's why!" Jas replied helplessly. "If you hadn't stolen my piggy bank, maybe we wouldn't be in this situation now."

"What's the point of bringing that up? I already spent it!" Jessie snapped, both embarrassed and frustrated.

"Alright, fine. I won't ntion it anymore," Jas sighed, spreading his hands in resignation.

"Hmph."

Jessie threw the grass root to the ground with all her might and stord off.

"Jessie, where are you going, ow?" owth caught up, asking.

"Obviously, to find food! What else? Are we supposed to sit here and starve to death?!"

Jas quickly chased after them upon hearing this.

However, after searching for most of the day, Jessie and the others couldn't find even a single scrap of food. In the wild, food was a scarce resource, and most of it was already claid by other creatures.

"Ahh... I'm exhausted. What kind of godforsaken place is this? Not a single thing to eat!" Jessie collapsed under a large tree, completely drained.

owth, equally exhausted, wobbled over and plopped down beside Jessie. Just as it was about to speak, it rubbed its eyes and suddenly pointed ahead, saying, "Am I so hungry that I'm hallucinating, ow?"

Not far from them, on the edge of a cliff, grew a tree laden with what appeared to be delicious berry.

Following owth's pointing paw, Jessie squinted and muttered, "Maybe I'm hallucinating from hunger too!"

Hearing this, Jas quickly interjected, "That's not a hallucination—we've really found food!"

"Yay!"

Jessie and owth cheered in unison. Their earlier exhaustion vanished in an instant, and they sprinted energetically toward the base of the cliff.

Upon arriving, they looked up at the towering cliff. Jas frowned and said, "It's so high... How are we supposed to pick the berry?"

Without hesitation, Jessie grabbed owth by the scruff of its neck. "owth, it's up to you!"

"Don't worry, ow! Leave it to !" owth's sharp claws popped out from its paw pads as it spoke confidently. Right now, driven by hunger, it wasn't afraid of any challenge.

After saying that, owth leapt out, its sharp, long claws digging fiercely into the rock as it climbed up the cliff bit by bit.

After much toil and struggle, owth finally reached the berry tree. It picked a berry and happily shouted down, "Look, I did it, nya!"

"Stop the chatter, hurry up and pick them, I'm starving to death!" Jessie shouted.

"Got it, nya!"

With swift, practiced motions, owth picked all the berry from the tree. Then, as it turned its head, it noticed a cave next to the berry tree.

The cave wasn't deep—you could see straight to the end.

owth didn't think much of it. After picking the berry, it quickly climbed back down the cliff.

With the berry in hand, the trio had a satisfying feast at the base of the cliff.

Burp "That was aweso!" Jessie sprawled out on the ground without any care for her image after eating.

"Not starving to death... what a relief!" owth patted its now round belly, looking touched.

At that mont, the trio didn't notice a dark shadow swiftly passing over their heads.

The shadow landed at the entrance of the cave next to the berry tree—it turned out to be a Shiny Hawlucha.

While an ordinary Hawlucha has green and red wings with a white belly, this one had black and purple wings and a reddish-purple belly.

The dark-colored Hawlucha grew furious upon seeing the now-bare berry tree. Looking down, it imdiately noticed the well-fed trio and the pile of berry cores littering the ground.

"Hawlucha~"

Seething with rage, Hawlucha dived straight toward the trio.

Jessie, lying on the ground, happened to see the swooping Hawlucha. Terrified, she quickly pulled Jas and owth to dodge.

Boom!

With a loud crash, Hawlucha's flying tackle smashed a huge crater into the ground.

Jessie imdiately pointed at Hawlucha, cursing, "Do you have any sense of decency?! What if you'd hit soone?!"

"Hawlucha~ Hawlucha~"

Hawlucha pointed right back at the trio, shouting angrily.

owth, understanding Hawlucha's words, said to Jessie and Jas, "We better run! Those berries were all his. He's here to settle the score, nya!"

Jessie, unfazed, said, "Run? Why run? Let's just catch this guy as a gift for Boss Giovanni. Maybe he'll even give us an advance on our pay!"

As she spoke, she sent out Pumpkaboo.

"Yeah, why didn't I think of that? Plus, this guy looks like a Shiny Pokémon!" Jas said excitedly, releasing Inkay.

"Pumpkaboo, Seed Bomb!"

"Inkay, Psybeam!"

The two Pokémon launched their attacks on command.

However, they underestimated Hawlucha's strength. In just one swift move, Pumpkaboo and Inkay were both knocked out.

"Mommy! Run!"

Jessie scread as she recalled Pumpkaboo, urging Jas and owth to flee.

Hawlucha's speed was astonishing—it was nearly upon them in the blink of an eye.

That's when Jessie suddenly ca up with a terrible idea.

"Quick! Let's lure it to the twerp's place, and we'll be saved!"
