Several days after the great battle, Yuga suddenly received a call from Steven. Over the phone, Steven vividly recounted how extraordinary Mr. Kuni'o was, expressing his deep admiration for the man.

Although Mr. Kuni'o was hailed as the strongest Master-level Trainer, he had not taken action in years. Not only had younger generations like Steven and Yuga never seen him fight at full strength, but even so middle-aged trainers hadn't witnessed it either.

At first, Yuga couldn't understand why Steven was so excited. It wasn't until Steven described the events of the battle in detail that Yuga realized his master had actually confronted wtwo.

Yuga was familiar with the strength of the giant Milotic and Zapdos. The fact that his master's Pokémon could rival them made Yuga realize that his master's power was even greater than he had imagined. Furthermore, his master had a mythical Pokémon, Shaymin.

Neither Decidueye nor Shaymin were Pokémon Yuga had ever seen in his master's possession.

To be honest, Yuga felt a bit regretful about missing such a spectacle.

anwhile, the sleeping wtwo awoke. It slowly floated to the surface of the water, opening its eyes to find itself lying in a small pond. Nurous Pokémon surrounded it, gazing curiously at the newcor.

The pond wasn't a natural pond—it was an artificial pond inside a building.

With its vast knowledge, wtwo imdiately deduced that this must be a human-made Ecopark.

wtwo attempted to rise from the water but found itself too severely injured to move. During its days of drifting in the river, its wounds had only been partially self-healed and were far from recovered.

A kindhearted Poliwhirl noticed its condition and approached, trying to assist it. However, wtwo's cold, piercing gaze forced the Poliwhirl to retreat.

At that mont, two massive black Raticates approached the edge of the pond. They spotted wtwo, the outsider, and imdiately let out threatening growls, their eyes filled with wariness.

As it turned out, the Ecopark wtwo had entered was none other than Yuga's new Ecopark.

The pond in Yuga's new Ecopark was connected to Verdanturf Town's mother river, the Jade River, to maintain water flow and vitality. The Jade River, in turn, was a tributary of another major river on the Hoenn continent—the sa river where wtwo had fallen days earlier.

Drifting in the river for several days, wtwo had coincidentally been swept into Yuga's new Ecopark.

While the two Alolan Raticates studied wtwo, it examined them in return, a look of confusion in its eyes. These Raticates seed sowhat different from the ones it had seen before.

Could they not be Raticates? If not, then what kind of Pokémon were they?

Despite its vast knowledge, wtwo found itself montarily stumped.

Just as this was happening, Yuga had just hung up Steven's call when a Xatu silently appeared by his side. It chirped and chattered rapidly into his ear, leaving Yuga visibly surprised.

"A strange Pokémon appeared in the new Ecopark?"

Xatu nodded, indicating it didn't recognize the strange Pokémon either, but the creature was so intimidating that it didn't dare approach.

"Let's go and take a look!" Yuga quickly got up and headed outside.

"wtwo!"

When Yuga arrived at the new Ecopark, wtwo was still in a standoff with the two Raticates. Due to its injuries, wtwo couldn't move or fight, and it didn't want to engage in battle either. The two Raticates, wary of wtwo, refrained from acting rashly.

Instinctively, they sensed that wtwo wasn't soone to be trifled with.

When Yuga got a clear look at wtwo, he was stunned.

Steven had just finished telling him about wtwo, and now wtwo had appeared in his Ecopark—what a coincidence!

Not only that, but wtwo had been injured by Mr. Kuni'o, and now it had shown up on the territory of Mr. Kuni'o's apprentice. The connection was uncanny.

Even before Yuga entered the new Ecopark, wtwo had sensed his arrival through its imnse psychic power. But when Yuga called out its na, a surprised voice resonated in Yuga's mind.

"You know ?" This was telepathy.

"We've t before," Yuga said, composing himself and trying to smile.

"t before?" wtwo appeared confused. It thought for a mont but couldn't recall Yuga.

The only ti Yuga had encountered wtwo was on Mt. Jade in Johto. That incident involved Team Rocket attempting to capture Shadow Lugia with wtwo's assistance, and Yuga hadn't directly interacted with wtwo during that ti.

While wtwo rembered the events on Mt. Jade, it had no mory of Yuga himself.

Noticing wtwo's injuries, Yuga cautiously asked, "You seem badly hurt. Would you like to help?"

"No need!" wtwo rejected him outright, distrustful of Yuga.

Yuga smiled and explained, "I really an no harm. I just want to help. I know you resent Team Rocket, and coincidentally, I have a grudge against them too. That makes us allies of sorts, doesn't it? I won't betray you." Yuga was particularly skilled at sweet-talking Pokémon.

But wtwo wasn't so easily swayed. It maintained a high level of vigilance toward strangers.

"My injuries are because of you humans! There are very few good humans!" wtwo harbored a deep dislike for humanity. The most significant impression it had of a human was the boy with a Pikachu back on New Island.

Thinking of that boy, wtwo beca montarily distracted.

Hearing wtwo's words, Yuga sighed helplessly. "Humans hurt you, yes, but wasn't it because you tried to take sothing that wasn't yours?"

Yuga's remark snapped wtwo out of its thoughts. It stared at Yuga warily. "How do you know about that? What's your purpose?"

"I don't have a purpose," Yuga replied with a bitter smile. "I have so standing in the League. You caused such a commotion—how could I not know? The League doesn't an you any harm. As long as you don't go around causing trouble, there's no issue."

Yuga made every effort to convey the League's goodwill toward wtwo.

wtwo fell into deep thought after hearing this.

It had tried to seize Manaphy's giant rock fragnt because it felt its body undergoing a peculiar transformation, and the fragnt seed to have a beneficial effect on that change.

wtwo shifted slightly, but the movent pulled at its wounds, causing its expression to twist in pain. Yuga, noticing this, said, "Let help treat you. If you leave your injuries like this, who knows when they'll heal?"

After repeated persuasion, wtwo finally agreed to let Yuga treat it. wtwo was worried about the cloned Pokémon it was protecting. If it couldn't return to them soon, it feared sothing might happen.

For years, wtwo had been wandering across continents with its cloned Pokémon, searching for a safe haven. Such a place was extrely difficult to find, and it had already traversed several regions.

With wtwo's consent, Yuga applied dicine to its injuries and used his healing ability to treat its wounds.

Seeing Yuga's healing ability, which was similar to that of the human who had injured it, wtwo's eyes filled with doubt. However, it didn't voice its concerns because Yuga's treatnt was so soothing that wtwo's thoughts began to drift.

When the treatnt was over, wtwo considered asking about it but decided against it.

"Maybe it's just a coincidence," wtwo thought. After all, Yuga's ability was different from that person's (though, in truth, the only difference was that Yuga's power was much weaker).

The dicine and Yuga's healing ability didn't completely cure wtwo, and it still needed a few days to recover. This ant wtwo would have to stay with Yuga for the ti being.

Actually, Yuga could have fully healed wtwo in one go using a Max Revive, as he had a decent stock of them. However, harboring so "unspeakable intentions," he chose not to do so.

Thus, wtwo stayed at Yuga's place for several days. During this ti, Yuga treated it with great hospitality—Incense, Pokeblock, delicious food... whatever wtwo wanted, Yuga provided.

wtwo had never encountered such an enthusiastic human and was nearly overwheld by the generosity. Despite its strong sense of vigilance, wtwo's mind was relatively simple. Because of this, it shared its life story with Yuga—how it had been living with cloned Pokémon and searching for a ho for them.

Upon learning this, an idea began to take shape in Yuga's mind.

He took wtwo on a tour of his Ecopark.

wtwo was amazed by the Ecopark's wonders, thinking it was like a paradise removed from the outside world.

Yuga didn't reveal that the Ecopark was actually a space provided by his system's Sub-Ecopark functionality. Instead, he arranged for Jellicent to summon Giratina and had them perform a convincing charade together. This was in case his plan didn't work and wtwo decided to spill the secret of the Sub-Ecopark.

Yuga told wtwo that his Sub-Ecopark was a derivative space from Giratina's Distortion World, a unique realm completely disconnected from the outside world. Since wtwo had no understanding of such things, it believed Yuga's explanation without question.

Giratina, who often ca to Yuga's place for "free als," didn't expose the lie. Instead, it cooperatively played along, fully committed to the performance.

Since leaving Team Rocket, wtwo had gained a good understanding of the stature of Legendary Pokémon. With Giratina, a bona fide Legendary Pokemon, backing Yuga's story, wtwo's trust in him deepened.

After Yuga completely healed wtwo's injuries, it seed to want to say sothing but hesitated.

Feigning ignorance, Yuga said, "Alright, wtwo, now that you're healed, you're free to leave."

Seeing that wtwo wasn't imdiately leaving, Yuga pretended to be confused. "What's wrong? Do you have sothing else to say?"

Determined to secure a safe environnt for its companions, wtwo steeled itself and said, "I want my companions to live here."

Feigning surprise, Yuga exclaid, "How could that be possible! This place was given to by Giratina for raising my Pokémon. How can I allow other Pokémon to live here?"

Just as wtwo was about to respond, Yuga interrupted it, adding, "Besides, this is my place. Everything in it is mine. If your companions move in, they'll need food and drink, right? Wouldn't that be freeloading? How could you even ask that?"

wtwo was instantly stumped. Yuga's words made perfect sense—it and its companions weren't the type to take advantage of others.

Yuga secretly observed wtwo's reaction, and after a mont of calculated hesitation, he said reluctantly, "Actually, it's not entirely impossible to let your companions move in..."

wtwo, thinking the situation had taken a turn for the better, imdiately asked, "What do we need to do?"

Clearing his throat, Yuga replied, "Well... you could pay rent."

"Rent?" wtwo asked, completely puzzled.

Yuga explained, "Humans exchange money or other forms of paynt for goods and services."

wtwo nodded—it understood this concept.

"So naturally, if your companions want to move in, there must be a price to pay," Yuga continued.

"But we don't have anything," wtwo said hesitantly, assuming Yuga was referring to money.

Seeing that his lead-up had worked perfectly, Yuga smirked inwardly and said, "You could work for . For example, you could act as security for my daycare or even teach my Pokémon. As long as you contribute in so way, I'd be willing to let your companions stay here."

When wtwo heard this, its eyes lit up instantly. Yes, this was indeed a good idea. However, it quickly thought of Team Rocket and looked at Yuga with a guarded expression, saying, "Don't think about trying anything shady. I won't do just anything for you."

Yuga had already guessed what wtwo was thinking and responded with a cheerful smile, "I won't ask you to do anything that would trouble you. Rest assured, we mbers of the League are nothing like Team Rocket." Secretly, Yuga also took this opportunity to improve the League's image in wtwo's eyes.

In the end, with his smooth-talking, Yuga successfully persuaded wtwo to beco an employee at YoYo Daycare. Its duties were to guard the daycare and, to so extent, guide the Pokémon in the ecological park with their training. In return, Yuga provided a stable and comfortable living environnt for wtwo's companions.

Yuga's requests were not excessive, so wtwo naturally had no reason to refuse.

In truth, Yuga didn't genuinely expect wtwo to do much for him or the League. He simply wanted wtwo to step in if the need ever arose. To Yuga, all his efforts would be worth it if wtwo could provide assistance during critical monts.

The key was to tie wtwo to his side.

Although everything was peaceful now, who could predict the future? What if one day, an unexpected crisis arose? For example, Team Rocket might stir up trouble again. Yuga felt it was essential to prepare for such possibilities, especially considering Team Rocket still had their ultimate weapon, Shadow Lugia.

Team Rocket had also stolen a large fragnt of the Giant Rock! Yuga believed that staying vigilant in tis of peace was absolutely necessary.

After finalizing the agreent with wtwo, Yuga asked, "Where are your companions now?"

wtwo replied, "I've settled them on a remote island." That island wasn't far from the one where Zapdos resided. Otherwise, wtwo wouldn't have noticed the giant rock fragnt Manaphy was carrying.

In fact, Yuga already had a plan in mind. If wtwo truly got along well with him, he could consider giving it a small fragnt of the Giant Rock as a gesture of goodwill.

A large fragnt of the Giant rock was currently stored in Yuga's system inventory. Breaking off a small piece for wtwo wouldn't be a big deal. Giving it a taste of sweetness would only solidify their bond further.

"I'll go with you to fetch them," Yuga suggested after so thought. "This way, you won't risk losing your way back." In truth, Yuga was worried that wtwo might change its mind halfway through. Accompanying it would allow him to adapt to any unexpected situations.

Although wtwo didn't believe it would get lost, since Yuga insisted, it agreed. Whether or not Yuga tagged along didn't make much of a difference to it.

Thus, Yuga arranged matters at his shop with Suzuki Koen and his aunt and entrusted the managent of the gym to Beidou. Afterward, he set off with wtwo.

When wtwo had arrived in Verdanturf Town, it had been unconscious. As a result, it flew with Yuga for quite a distance before it managed to determine the correct direction.
