*** Minutes Earlier – Evelina (Third-Person POV)

[Why did you suddenly leave him like that?]

The choker purred as Evelina reappeared at Corvus’s building, still wearing the tight nurse’s outfit that hugged every curve of her body.

"So he’ll hold back less..."

[Really?]

"I just gave him more than enough motivation to make sure of that..."

Evelina replied, though she had to admit...it hadn’t exactly been her first choice to sexually frustrate Cael like that.

Not because she didn’t enjoy torturing him. If anything, she found it unbearably hot to watch soone as powerful as him squirm under her touch.

The sight alone sent a delicious, aching pleasure curling low in her belly.

But the main reason it hadn’t been her first choice?

Because teasing him like that would only leave her just as frustrated.

While Cael was denied the release he so clearly wanted, she’d been denied her own just as cruelly.

Her cheeks were flushed, her face still warm with the ghost of his touch and the mory of how close she’d co to breaking first.

If he was pent up, so will a greater succubus like her, who was grinding on him all night.

"Enough of this. It’s just making regret my choices even more..."

She scoffed and lightly tapped her choker, testing it.

"Right, I’ve already beco a greater succubus. So what does that do for you?"

[Hmm? Well... by the ti you received , I was already a greater succubus. But thanks to your recent activities, I’ve finally evolved into a Succubus Matron...]

The choker let out a satisfied giggle, reveling in a power she never could have gained without her master’s help—and without the man who had made the contract with her in the first place.

Then—

[Succubic Host]

Evelina suddenly rembered the new skill she gained from her evolution. It was a stronger version of the usual succubus–host relationship, with the added effect of temporarily turning her host into a half-demon due to the sheer concentration of demonic energy that would flood them once she activated it.

If Cael were ever in trouble, a temporary demonic transformation would surely save him. Besides, he had more than enough dark energy to mask his demonic nature if it ca to that.

So everything was fine.

Perfectly fine.

Logically sound.

Strategically optimal.

On paper, at least.

She’d gone over it in her head already: Cael got stronger the more worked up and reckless he was. She’d pushed him right to that razor edge, left him hanging there, and walked away before either of them tipped over the line. Tactically? It was fine.

Emotionally? Physically?

"...Then why the hell am I this bothered...?"

Her hand rose to her cheek before she realised it.

Still warm.

Still flushed.

Her skin thrumd with leftover sensation, like his hands were still ghosting over her, still hovering just shy of where she’d wanted them most. It was infuriating how her own body refused to calm down.

Annoying.

Deeply, deeply annoying.

She clicked her tongue, jaw tight, and pushed open a random classroom door with more force than necessary.

Desks.

Chairs.

Dust.

The stale, abandoned sll of a room no one had cared about in a long ti.

Nothing interesting.

Good.

Sothing boring.

Sothing safe.

Sothing that didn’t sll like him.

She walked toward the window, heels tapping with clipped, impatient rhythm, then leaned against the sill and exhaled slowly.

In.

Out.

In—

Her mind imdiately replayed the feeling of Cael’s hands twitching under her, fingers flexing against her hips as he fought himself.

Out—

The way his pupils had turned into hearts, blown wide, drunk on her, like he’d forgotten the world even existed outside of her body.

In—

The quiet, helpless sound he made when she’d rolled her hips just a little too deliberately, slow and rciless, making sure he felt every taunting grind...

"Ugh."

Her tail lashed out and smacked the wall.

CRACK.

A thin fracture spread through the plaster like a spiderweb.

[Temper, temper~]

"Shut up."

Her voice ca out lower than she’d intended, rough around the edges.

[You’re the one who decided to grind on him all night and then leave.]

"I thought I could handle it."

[Then?]

"...I overestimated myself..."

The admission slipped out, begrudging, almost bitten off.

She glared down at the floorboards as if they were personally responsible.

"...Probably should have been more careful..."

Her tail had moved on its own, wrapping around her own thigh, squeezing just a bit too tightly. The gesture was unconsciously needy, and the realisation only annoyed her more.

Because the mory alone, just the mory. It was enough to send a slow, heavy heat pooling low in her stomach again, coiling tighter and tighter, reminding her of how close she’d been to snapping.

Stupid.

This was stupid.

She was supposed to be composed.

Elegant.

Sadistic, even.

She was a greater succubus, not so flustered girl who just reached adulthood.

Not... this.

Not pacing around an empty building like so love-struck idiot because she couldn’t stop thinking about the way his breath had hitched every ti she leaned in, about the way his heartbeat had pounded against her thighs.

Not because she couldn’t get the scent of him out of her head.

"...He even tasted good," she muttered before she could stop herself, tongue darting unconsciously across her lips at the mory.

[Oh?]

The choker’s voice lilted with smug amusent.

"...You can’t bla , can you?" she shot back, refusing to look at it, as if avoiding eye contact would make the admission less embarrassing.

[Mhm~]

Noncommittal, teasing, and infuriating.

She pinched the bridge of her nose, squeezing her eyes shut for a second.

Why did he have to react like that?

Why did he have to look at her like that?

Like she was the only thing in the world.

Like the smallest word from her would be enough to shatter his control.

Like he’d actually lose himself completely if she told him to.

It made her chest feel tight in a way she really, really did not want to examine too closely.

And worse...

Her body had reacted just as badly.

Every ti he twitched beneath her.

Every ti he groaned her na, desperate and low.

Every ti his hands almost moved to grab her and then stopped, shaking with restraint.

Her own self-control had nearly snapped.

If she’d stayed even five minutes longer...

"...I would’ve lost first," she admitted quietly, the words tasting sour and hot all at once.

And that?

Unacceptable.

She was the one teasing.

Not the one breaking.

She refused to be the one begging.

"Focus," she muttered, clapping her hands once, the sharp sound cutting through the haze in her head.

Right.

Distractions.

She needed distractions.

Any distractions.

Evelina straightened up and threw herself into doing literally anything else.

She reorganized a desk.

Pointlessly.

Moved a stack of dusty papers from one side to the other.

Then moved them back again, because why not make it even more pointless?

She stalked down the hallway.

Opened another door.

Nothing.

Closed it.

Opened a third door just to slam it shut.

Checked her reflection in a cracked mirror.

Big mistake.

The tight nurse uniform hugged her hips and chest shalessly, clinging to every line of her body in a way that was downright scandalous. The faint outline of her curves was impossible to ignore, and the way the fabric pressed against her made her suddenly, acutely aware of just how sensitive her skin still was.

Her horns were still slightly visible through her hair, a subtle reminder of what she was. Her cheeks were still pink, betraying her even when the rest of her face tried to stay composed.

She looked exactly like soone who had just spent an entire night straddling the man she liked and then walked away before either of them could finish what they’d started.

"...I should’ve changed outfits," she muttered, eyes narrowing at her reflection.

[Too late~]

Her tail swayed behind her again, slower this ti.

Restless.

Every few seconds, without aning to, her gaze drifted toward the direction of the battlefield, as if her body were attuned to him now.

She could faintly feel him.

His magic.

Chaotic.

Spiking.

Growing sharper, darker, more intoxicating by the second.

"...See?" she muttered. "He’s already going wild."

[You sound proud.]

"I am. That ans he wouldn’t get toyed with anymore."

Because that was what she wanted, wasn’t it? To peel back his control. To see how far he could go. To see how far she could push him. To make him use more power to keep himself safe.

[You also sound worried.]

"...Shut up."

There was a pause.

BOOM.

Even from here, the faint tremor ran through the floor, a dull vibration crawling up her legs.

Another spike of Cael’s magic.

Wild.

Unrestrained.

Exactly what she wanted.

Exactly what she had planned for.

And yet...

Her fingers curled slightly at her sides, nails biting into her own palms.

"...Don’t overdo it, idiot," she whispered under her breath, voice softer than she’d like to admit.

Her thumb brushed over the choker again just in case. Just ready enough to activate it instantly, to flood him with her power if she had to.

Because if he actually got hurt...

If soone actually pushed him too far...

Her eyes darkened slightly, a cold gleam threading through the heat.

"...I’m killing everyone."

She knew full well that her plan was a double‑edged sword. On one hand, it made Cael hold back less; on the other, the unpredictability of the observers and professors could create variables she didn’t expect.

[Possessive~]

Evelina only snickered at the succubus’s teasing.

But the small, calm mont was enough for her mind to rember her frustration. Her thighs pressed together again.

Heat still lingering.

Body still restless.

Still painfully aware of the fact she’d left him like that. Breathless, shaking, barely holding on, while she’d walked away pretending she was fine.

She was not fine.

"...After this exam," she muttered, face heating up again as the thought solidified in her mind, "I’m not holding back anymore."

[Oh?]

The choker purred.

"...He’s suffering right now," she said, not bothering to hide the satisfaction curling through her voice.

A small, wicked smile curved her lips.

"...It’s only fair I compensate him later for it."

Her tail flicked once.

Satisfied.

The image of his face when she finally decided to stop teasing and actually take what she wanted, really take it, helped a little.

Not much.

But enough to keep walking.

Enough to wait.

Enough to stay coiled, ready, until the mont he inevitably needed her...

"I’m still , right?"

Evelina gave a nervous chuckle; she herself never knew she could be this needy.
