91. Dragon Fla

The Other Shore seed to be a forbidden zone for life. No birds in the sky, only the boundless blood-red horizon, as if they were the only people walking through this world.

ng Lian's group had been traveling for two or three days. During this ti, they encountered quite a few magical beasts, but due to Tiane and Tina's presence, those beasts seed to fear the dragon race and didn't attack them.

These three days passed peacefully enough, but in such a depressing landscape, ng Lian felt a bit bored.

Except for Nilu's ambush three days ago, they had been traveling the whole ti. And since they couldn't fight while sleeping at night, ng Lian's spirits were sowhat low.

Fortunately, the destination was just ahead. Looking at the ruined remains not far away, ng Lian's spirit instantly lifted.

The fractured transmission formation groaned beneath their feet. Basalt altars crawled with web-like scorch marks, and clusters of Equinox Flowers sprouted from the cracks. Those crimson petals were crystallizing at a visible rate, like suddenly frozen waves of blood.

The mont she looked up, the sky was burning. An entire inverted city was pinned into the blood-colored clouds, black iron spires piercing the skyline. The city walls flowed with patterns like molten gold, perhaps remnants of so defensive rune. Blood lightning wandered at the city's base, and each explosion made the sea of Equinox Flowers boil. Thousands of flower stems raised their heads like torture victims, spraying red mist toward the heavens.

The strangest glow ca from the bottom of the city. Tens of thousands of transparent pipes pierced through the clouds, flowing with a dark red substance between liquid and light. When lightning struck these pipes, petal-shaped luminous bodies would fall. Before touching the ground, they turned to ash, branding blue scorch marks onto the ruins.

The wind carried the scents of sulfur and rust across the sea of flowers, stirring layer upon layer of crimson ripples. In certain monts, you would have the illusion that the city was wailing. The shadow it cast happened to cover the entire transmission formation, like a giant beast that had been beheaded, yet still pressed its fangs against its prey's throat.

"This is..."

ng Lian's eyes filled with shock. Here, she could clearly see that Sky City. But what she hadn't expected was that the Sky City was actually inverted. She could even see the scattered, ruined streets.

"This is the Sky City... Due to certain reasons, it has beco like this."

Aurora looked up at the inverted city, grief flashing in her eyes.

The black box in her hand seed to sense sothing, actually trembling once. But since everyone was in shock over the inverted city, no one noticed the abnormality of the black box in her hand.

"What... exactly happened here?"

Tiane and Tina's faces were pale. They seed to hear countless miserable cries. In a daze, they felt themselves rging with those countless dragon souls, their minds going blank.

Mournful cries seed to co from the distant horizon. Their spirits wandered, and imnse sorrow spread through their hearts for no reason. Tears uncontrollably stread down their faces.

"Damn it, what is going on?"

No matter how ng Lian shook Tiane and Tina, the silver dragon sisters seed to have had their souls sucked out. They stared blankly up at the inverted city in the sky, and no matter how ng Lian called out to them, it was useless.

ng Lian looked at Aurora and found that the other party seed to have expected this.

ng Lian suddenly felt deep fear in her heart. She roared at Aurora, "What is wrong with them?"

"Miss Yelena, they are silver dragons, and the Sky City is also a sacred place for the dragon race. In this world, countless dragon souls are drifting about. Their dragon bloodline has resonated with these dragon souls, which is why they appear this way."

Hearing this, ng Lian suddenly discovered that between the Sky City and the transmission ruins, countless blood-red, formless spirits were drifting. They seed to be chanting sothing, but ng Lian couldn't understand a single word.

"Miss Yelena, do you know how to activate this transmission ruin?"

At this mont, Aurora wore an indescribable smile, and the unease in ng Lian's heart was rapidly expanding.

"Miss Tiane and Miss Tina are of the dragon race, so they should be able to enter the Sky City through this transmission ruin."

As soon as Aurora finished speaking, the obscure inscriptions on the transmission ruins beneath their feet suddenly lit up. Then, a blinding pillar of light descended from the inverted city above, shining directly onto Tiane and Tina.

ng Lian subconsciously closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she discovered in horror that Tiane and Tina's figures had vanished from the spot.

"As for people like us who aren't of the dragon race, there is only one way to enter the Sky City."

Aurora slowly walked up to ng Lian, looking down at her from above.

"That is a blood sacrifice for the transmission formation, to activate this only passage to the Sky City."

"Master, be careful!"

At this mont, Yaoyao cried out in alarm. ng Lian's heart jumped. She felt a violent wind rush past the back of her head and hurriedly dodged, barely managing to avoid Carolin's greatsword.

Still, a few strands of golden hair drifted down where she stood.

"So you really did have bad intentions..."

ng Lian struggled to her feet, looking at Carolin who wore a regretful expression after her failed ambush, and couldn't help but sneer.

"Miss Yelena, we are truly sorry. This transmission formation requires a blood sacrifice. We have no choice."

Carolin looked apologetic, but in the next instant, she raised her person-high black greatsword and slashed at ng Lian again.

So fast!

In the blink of an eye, Carolin was right in front of her. ng Lian's pupils contracted. At this distance, she couldn't possibly react in ti.

"You sword bitch, die!"

Just then, the situation changed dramatically. A cold shout ca from the void, and countless arrows rained down from the sky. Seeing this, Carolin hurriedly dodged, while several thick vines burst from the ground at Aurora's feet, weaving a vine net above her head to block the dense rain of arrows.

But ng Lian was left alone, exposed to this rain of arrows. Watching the countless arrows getting closer and closer, her golden vertical pupils manifested. At this mont, Yaoyao also shouted anxiously, "Master, Dragon Fla!"

"Dragon Fla!"

Mimicking Tiane's pronunciation from before, with Yaoyao's reminder beside her, ng Lian subconsciously blurted out the obscure dragon spell. Instantly, terrifying heat manifested. Countless dragon flas erupted from the void, reducing those arrows to ash.

"What?!"

"How is this possible!"

"How can a re human use Dragon Fla?!"

Seeing this scene, Aurora, Carolin, and Nilu were all struck with shock and disbelief.
