90. Nilu
"What?"
Hearing ng Lian's words, everyone was startled, especially Tiane and Tina. They imdiately looked at the Equinox Flowers around their waists, but found no palm-sized dragons that ng Lian had ntioned.
Carolin was the sa. She glanced at the empty Equinox Flowers, then looked at ng Lian with confusion. "Miss Yelena, what dragon? How could a dragon possibly be inside a flower? Did you see wrong?"
ng Lian didn't speak. She looked at those Equinox Flowers again. They were like miniature cradles, each one curled up with a fist-sized mini dragon. These dragons ca in various shapes and colors, their eyes tightly closed, as if in deep slumber.
"Master, you possess the Sky Mirage True Demon Pupils, which allow you to see these dragon souls. Others cannot see them."
At this mont, Yaoyao, who had been following along, spoke up.
Hearing this, ng Lian was also puzzled.
Sky Mirage True Demon Pupils? She had them in Nordlin too?
"Actually, your Nordlin self can be viewed as another version of yourself. Whether it's the constitution in Nordlin or in reality, they are shared."
Yaoyao continued to explain, "For example, Master's Charming Heart Constitution. I can sense that Yelena in Nordlin has the Charming Heart Constitution, so Master in reality also has the Charming Heart Constitution."
Early this morning when ng Lian was battling the silver dragon sisters, Yaoyao noticed that part of the sisters' magic power had been absorbed by ng Lian. She could also feel that ng Lian's body didn't seem to contain just one type of magic power. There seed to be another part that ca from the vampires.
Truly worthy of being Master, playing it fancy.
Yaoyao couldn't help but sigh in her heart. Since Nordlin and reality were in a shared state, ng Lian's body now contained three different types of magic: zombie, silver dragon, and vampire. With proper utilization, she could unleash unexpected effects.
"Haha, maybe I was just too nervous and seeing things."
Realizing that only she could see these dragon souls, ng Lian imdiately gave a hollow laugh.
Hearing this, Tiane and Tina also breathed sighs of relief. The two sisters pressed close to ng Lian, and the three of them chatted and laughed together, acting quite clingy.
Carolin just shrugged, not paying much attention to it.
Aurora, however, looked thoughtful. She cast a few extra glances at ng Lian, as if she knew so secret information.
Could those so-called evil spirits be these dragon souls?
ng Lian couldn't possibly ignore these dragon souls. She played around with Tiane and Tina while secretly observing the dragon souls, when suddenly a thought popped into her mind.
She thought of the story Carolin had told before, the sudden rain of blood, the mysterious evil spirits, the cataclysmic changes in the Sky City...
Gradually, an extrely bold guess ford in ng Lian's mind.
Just as ng Lian was lost in her wild thoughts, a sharp whistling sound tore through the air.
"Be careful!"
Carolin's expression changed instantly. She imdiately pulled Aurora behind her, while at the sa ti, a barrier of light rose up to block the arrows flying from sowhere.
It was an ambush!
ng Lian's reaction was also quick. She grabbed Tiane and Tina and rolled into the sea of flowers. The dense Equinox Flowers provided excellent cover, effectively blocking the enemy's line of sight.
"Where is it?"
Tiane's eyes narrowed. She sensed the direction the arrows were coming from.
There was no one there, only the vast blood-red sea of flowers. Just then, Aurora picked up a broken arrow from the ground, puzzlent flashing in her eyes.
It was an elven arrow.
But before she could think further, countless arrows rained down from the sky like raindrops. Looking at the sky full of arrows, ng Lian's pupils contracted.
If they didn't dodge, the next mont they would all beco hedgehogs.
"Hmph, a coward who hides their head and shows their tail."
Tiane snorted coldly and silently chanted a dragon spell. In an instant, a barrier of fla appeared above everyone's heads. The terrifying heat instantly reduced the falling arrows to a pile of ash.
"A dragon?"
A surprised voice ca from the void. Tina's petite body moved like a ghost through the sea of flowers, her dragon-clawed hand imdiately reaching toward the source of the voice. Soon, an elven girl wearing green ranger attire was grabbed by Tina.
"Nilu?"
Aurora seed to know this elf and was very surprised. Nilu sneered. The diamond pendant around her neck suddenly erupted with a blinding white light, and Nilu's figure quickly vanished.
"A spatial artifact... truly extravagant."
Tiane sensed a trace of spatial fluctuation and was sowhat amazed.
The visitor ca with ill intentions.
"Your Highness..."
"I'm fine."
Aurora looked at ng Lian, finding them all staring at her.
Clearly, that attack just now was aid at Aurora, and Aurora seed to know the attacker.
"That person is called Nilu, from the Nibuer tribe."
The Elven Forest was divided into four major tribes, and the Nibuer tribe was one of them.
It seed to be factional strife.
ng Lian exchanged a glance with Tiane and Tina, and they all figured it out.
Aurora's position as elven princess was truly not easy to hold.
"I'm sorry for dragging you into this trouble."
Aurora looked apologetic. ng Lian and her companions shook their heads.
"It's fine..."
This incident seed to be just a small interlude, and the group continued toward their destination.
……
"A dragon? Are you sure you didn't see wrong?"
Nilu was teleported into a room. She knelt on one knee, and in front of her stood an elderly figure.
"This subordinate is certain there was no mistake. They were definitely two silver dragons."
"Silver dragons... it seems they are dragon remnants left outside. Hmph, so they're going to the Sky City now, that's simply seeking death."
The elderly figure snorted coldly, then tossed a blood-red flute to Nilu.
"When they are about to reach the teleportation formation, blow this flute to awaken the sleeping evil spirits. Rember, you must snatch the black box from that girl's hand. As for the others, killing them would be best, but if you can't, leave imdiately. Your target is only that black box. Do you understand?"
"This subordinate will not fail your expectations!"
Nilu accepted the flute respectfully, then exited the room.
At this mont, a trace of ruthlessness flashed through her eyes.
Aurora that stinking bitch must die!
"Silver dragons, silver dragons... I didn't expect there were other silver dragons that survived. It seems the dragon race was not ant to perish."
Inside the room, the old man sighed. On that blood moon night, almost the entire dragon race was wiped out. Now there were still two silver dragon remnants left. The dragon race still had a sliver of hope.
"However... those two silver dragons actually want to go to the Sky City. Heh heh, it seems the dragon race's last hope will be gone too."
The old man chuckled with schadenfreude, letting out a harsh "keh keh" sound.
