Chapter 135

I Am a Demon, Not Your Son!

Henry lay on the bed taking off his clothes. The Black Magic Book was still embedded in his chest.

It continued to glow faintly, as if maintaining its magic here.

Henry found this strange too. Compared to last ti, he had stayed here much longer this ti.

At least there were no signs of returning yet.

Could it be that Spiritual Energy was also a pure energy source for this Black Magic Book?

Henry felt this guess was correct, but he didn’t dare inject Spiritual Energy into it again.

If the previous situation repeated, Henry was afraid he wouldn’t be able to control it.

“Can Cliff decipher this book? She seed to say this book was related to Dark Magic.”

Lying on the bed, Henry pondered this question and fell asleep as usual.

****

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

The sound of knocking startled Henry from his dreams.

Henry’s eyes snapped open; he still hadn’t returned to reality.

He frowned deeply, seeming to realize sothing was wrong.

If he couldn’t find a way back, wouldn’t he be stuck here forever?

How long would he have to wait to return to reality?

Henry held his head, deciding to open the door first to see who was looking for him.

Just as he opened the door, Henry saw Cliff’s small face.

“Batman, did I wake you?”

“No, I was already awake. Did sothing happen?”

“When I went to the Adventurers’ Association earlier, I happened to run into people from the Church. But among that group, there were also people who can use magic, and they seed to have noticed I know magic too, so they’re looking for .”

People from the Church?

Henry rarely had contact with people from the Church, though he had dealt with them recently.

“Never mind that for now. I just accepted a commission. They say a farr’s child seems to be possessed, their behavior has beco very strange. I want you to co with .”

Cliff’s eyes were full of expectation; she seed to really want him to go with her to complete the commission.

Perhaps because Cliff usually completed commissions alone, she seed a bit reserved when asking Henry, as if afraid he would refuse.

“Alright, I’ll go with you.”

After a quick tidy-up, Henry soon followed Cliff to the location ntioned in the commission.

But just as they approached the house, Henry heard the sound of things being smashed inside.

A woman’s sobs tugged at Cliff’s heartstrings.

The two stepped inside.

They saw a young boy continuously roaring at a woman, spewing so incomprehensible words.

The father nearby looked very distressed, even sowhat fearful.

Upon seeing Cliff enter, the couple rushed forward as if seeing a savior.

“Are you the adventurers who accepted the commission? You’re finally here! Please, save our son!”

The woman’s voice was choked with tears, seemingly heartbroken by her son’s condition.

Cliff nodded, then turned to look at the young boy.

But she frowned slightly, seeming puzzled.

She didn’t sense any Demon Race aura from the boy, yet his appearance clearly suggested possession.

“Who are you? What are you doing here?!”

“Son, they are here to help you, don’t be afraid!”

Hearing this, the boy’s lips curled into a cold sneer.

“Am I your son? I am a Demon! You ordinary people can’t harm .”

“You monster harming my son! Get out of my son’s body now!”

The woman seed to firmly believe this.

anwhile, Cliff leaned close to Henry and whispered,

“I don’t sense any Demon Race aura from that child. Is it because my magic perception isn’t strong enough?”

Cliff was genuinely puzzled; she truly couldn’t find any trace of malevolent aura on the child.

Henry, standing to the side, opened his mouth slightly, looking at the scene speechlessly.

“Never mind, I’ll try purifying him first, see if it has any effect.”

Cliff raised her wand and cast a Purification magic on the young boy.

A brilliant radiance shone upon the boy, as if cleansing the impurities from his body.

Seeing this, the couple knelt down and kowtowed to Cliff.

“Are you the savior sent to rescue us? This is a miracle!”

Cliff put away her wand, and the Purification magic faded.

The young boy in front of them stood still, seemingly falling into a brief daze.

The couple glanced at each other, stood up from the ground, and cautiously approached the boy, as if checking on him.

Who knew the boy suddenly let out a sinister laugh, his gaze fixed on Cliff, his tone full of mockery.

“I am a Demon! You have no power to purify !”

Hearing this, Cliff looked anxious; her Purification magic had actually failed this ti!

Previously, against the Demon Race, her Purification magic was practically a killer weapon.

Oh no, oh no, this is a big problem!

“Please, I beg you, return my son’s body to .”

Seeing that even the savior’s miracle had no effect, the couple hugged each other, crying incessantly, their expressions despairing.

Was their only son, possessed by a demon, also dead?

Cliff pressed her lips together, her hand gripping her wand tightly, looking sowhat at a loss.

Then, Henry’s hand suddenly rested on her head.

“Can’t handle it?”

“I… I don’t know what to do. The Purification magic seems to have failed.”

“It’s not that your magic failed; it’s that your Purification magic was never effective on him in the first place.”

Henry walked straight up to the young boy, giving him a friendly smile.

But that smile made the boy shudder.

“Are you really a demon?”

“Do you have a death wish?”

The boy glared furiously at Henry, his voice hoarse.

Ignoring his words, Henry nodded to himself, then turned to look at the couple.

“You two, step outside for a mont. I’ll return your normal son to you shortly.”

“Ah… Sir Adventurer, are you telling the truth?”

The couple stopped crying, looking at Henry with disbelief.

Henry nodded, then ushered them out. He then looked at Cliff.

“Do you want to watch? The next part might be a bit… unsuitable for children.”

“I… I want to watch.”

Cliff’s voice was soft, but she was still curious about how Henry planned to exorcise the demon.

CLICK!

The door was closed by Henry. Cliff sat obediently on a chair, intently watching the scene.

The mont Henry closed the door, the boy’s face instantly turned panicked.

But he still forced calmness and continued to threaten Henry.

“If you dare lay a hand on , I promise you won’t have a good ending.”

“Is that so? What an honor. I hope you won’t beg for rcy later~”

Henry found a vine whip from the corner and slowly walked towards the boy.
