I'm 90 years old and the system tells me it's time to create harem Chapter 62: How did a duck get mixed in with a flock of swan
On the streets, countless people stopped to watch.
An incredibly luxurious convoy was moving slowly down the road, neatly lined up. The cars in front cleared the way, not daring to get close to the opulent fleet for fear of accidentally scraping against one and going bankrupt just trying to cover the damages.
However, what was completely out of place was a humble rcedes in the middle of this convoy, surrounded by hundreds of top-class luxury cars.
It was like a duckling had mixed in with a group of swans, which seed odd.
Inside the rcedes, Jacob kept his eyes wide open throughout the ride, holding the steering wheel tightly, his hands slick with cold sweat.
He glanced at Alexander, who was on the phone, through the rearview mirror, and swallowed subconsciously.
Alexander hung up the phone, raised his head, and looked at Jacob who was driving, saying, "What were you going to say to earlier?"
Tears almost sprang into Jacob’s eyes. He gripped the steering wheel and stamred, "No... nothing... I’m sorry!"
Kelly, who was also in the car, looked at the dazed Jacob and said, "Believe it or not, he is indeed the richest man in the Aricas."
Alexander looked helplessly out of the window and said, "Yes, I am Alexander. I’ve just been into wellness recently, so I might look a bit younger."
Silence fell in the car at his words.
Even though Jacob had already guessed Alexander’s identity, he still couldn’t help but shiver!
Jacob wished he could slap himself for his stupidity.
He cringed at the thought of how he’d been showing off in front of Alexander, like a ridiculous clown!
Alexander said sadly, "Don’t use the word ’richest’ in front of . I don’t like it much. I prefer if you simply call by my na."
...
A few minutes later, over a hundred luxury cars grandly pulled up in front of the Derlin Hotel.
Representatives attending the business summit were all shocked.
"Holy cow! Whose fleet is this? It’s too luxurious!"
"Which tycoon has arrived? This convoy must be worth at least 500 million!"
The bellhop at the hotel entrance couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy. He knew that the person who could own such a luxurious fleet was no ordinary individual.
However, when he saw the ordinary rcedes mixed in with the fleet of luxury cars, he was montarily puzzled.
What’s going on? How did a duck get mixed in with a flock of swans?
However, adhering to professional conduct, the bellhop walked over to the rcedes with a smile, ready to open the door. Jacob, sitting in the driver’s seat, had already opened the door and stepped out.
The bellhop was taken aback, recognizing the young man driving as Jacob, who often visited their Derlin Hotel.
He glanced at the hundred luxury cars behind him and was instantly stunned, saying, "So it’s you, Jacob. Could this convoy be yours?"
Jacob shot the bellhop a sharp look without uttering a word.
The next mont, under everyone’s gaze, Jacob quickly moved to the back door of the car, opened it, and bowed deeply, at a ninety-degree angle.
"We’re here... boss," he said.
The people around showed looks of utter astonishnt at his words.
The next mont, Alexander shook his head, got out from the back seat, patted Jacob’s shoulder and said,
"Jacob, how many tis have I told you? Don’t call boss, just treat like a regular person."
Jacob was extrely restrained and quickly said,
"I wouldn’t dare. I was foolish before, but from now on... treat as your assistant. Really, there’s no need for formalities!"
"Then go buy a bottle of water."
"Okay!"
Watching Jacob scramble awkwardly to the convenience store across the street, Alexander shouted, "Do you need to transfer you ten dollars?"
Jacob quickly responded, "No need! No need!"
Within a few minutes, Jacob returned panting from across the street, a convenience bag in his hand, and said,"Alexander, I’ve bought the water for you!"
Alexander nodded approvingly, "Well done, let’s go!"
Jacob was sowhat restrained and didn’t dare to et Alexander’s gaze directly. He offered, "The conference is on the thirtieth floor of the hotel, let press the elevator for you."
Alexander smiled and patted his shoulder, saying, "Where’s that audacity from before? You are Jacob after all. Why are you acting like a timid little girl?"
Jacob was internally distressed. You are the richest man in Arica, how can I be audacious?
He glanced around awkwardly and said, "Um... let’s go up, the summit is about to start."
Everyone around nodded, looking dazed.
It was their first ti seeing Jacob so restrained, but it was understandable.
Quickly, under the watchful eyes of everyone, Jacob led everyone up to the thirtieth floor of the Delin Hotel via the elevator.
Upon stepping into the conference hall, Alexander shook his head and laughed. Smith, whom he had known for a long ti, had not changed his style of doing things.
Unlike the typical conference settings, Smith had turned the thirtieth floor of the hotel into a bar.
The bar was filled with booming music, making it hard to imagine it was a summit venue.
A few minutes later, Alexander moved through the main hall of the bar to the door of a luxurious private room.
As he opened the door, his eyes lit up.
"Henry, you’re here too?"
Henry and a middle-aged man in a suit were seen sitting on the couch chatting. Alexander imdiately recognized the middle-aged man as Smith.
Alexander instantly felt a bit awkward. Now he looked much younger than Smith, he wondered if Smith could still recognize him?
When Henry saw Alexander walk in, he instantly stood up, stiffening his body, cold sweat trickling down.
A sense of foreboding suddenly surged in Alexander’s heart. The next mont, Henry perford a standard ninety-degree bow, saying, "Ale..."
But before he could finish pronouncing Alexander’s na, a chill ran along the floor into Henry’s body. His eyes widened in shock, his tongue frozen.
Despite this, his actions caught Smith’s attention. Smith asked in confusion, "Master Henry, what is..."
Alexander strode over with a chuckle, helping him up, "No worries, Master Henry has been practicing martial arts for many years, probably so issues with his spine."
Alexander Giving Henry a threatening look, Henry imdiately nodded and replied, "Yes, I’ve been sitting for too long, and my back hurts a bit. I just need to get up and move around."
Then, Smith noticed Alexander. He widened his eyes in surprise and asked, "Which company’s business representative are you? I feel like you look familiar..."
Deciding to tease the old guy a bit, Alexander didn’t reveal his identity and casually gave a na instead, "I’m Juwel, a web novel author."
"Author? What future is there in that? It’s all impractical fantasies." Smith continued to inquire, "Tell , how well do your novels do? Do they have any comrcial value?"
Alexander replied casually, "I just write out of interest and don’t have much fa, so there’s no talk of comrcial value."
Looking at Alexander, Smith said, "You’re still young, I guess you’re in your thirties at most. Can’t you be a bit more ambitious?"
Alexander felt very embarrassed, he was at a loss for words and didn’t bother to deal with this guy anymore.
However, Smith was in high spirits.
He first sighed and then continued, "When I was as young as you, I had far more ambition. You can’t just stay at ho writing novels, you need to consider your future more! Look at Jacob, successful at such a young age. That’s what a successful person is like!"
Everyone’s eyes fell on Jacob, including Alexander’s.
Jacob shivered involuntarily, thinking to himself, "Smith, if you want to show off, don’t involve ! I didn’t say anything!"
