After establishing a stable communication link with the European fleet, the connection between the holand and the fleet beca increasingly frequent.
Since a large amount of equipnt was primarily developed by him, Chen Xin often needed to be consulted and communicated with by the fleet regarding various technical issues.
"We are now stationed in the Ruhr Industrial Zone of Germany. The Germans provided us with the first batch of materials. Using these, we have set up the basic infrastructure and have started producing the first batch of exoskeletons and electromagnetic rifles." Through a satellite video call, the engineering and technical personnel from the fleet reported their current progress to Chen Xin.
Upon the fleet's arrival in Germany, the Germans were naturally overjoyed. Their first thought was to have this powerful reinforcent fill the battlefield, to help withstand the pressure from alien creatures.
However, the fleet was obviously not going to let the Germans dictate their actions. After setting up a stance backed by military might and rounds of negotiations by diplomatic personnel, the fleet finally settled in the Ruhr Industrial Zone. They built the infrastructure based on the local mineral resources and the materials provided by the Germans, using it as the fleet's logistics base.
The fleet is now using the established infrastructure alongside 3D printing equipnt to start production. Although the 3D printing equipnt is mainly printing infrastructure components, it has also begun small-scale production of so exoskeletons and electromagnetic rifles to supply the nearest German troops.
"How is the German response to this batch of equipnt?" Upon hearing the technical personnel say that production of exoskeletons and electromagnetic rifles had started, Chen Xin was also concerned about the feedback from the Germans after using this equipnt.
This was the first ti Chen Xin's developed equipnt was handed over to foreigners for use. He really wanted to know whether these devices were practical for foreigners, or if they thought any adjustnts or modifications were necessary.
Facing Chen Xin's inquiry, the technical personnel quickly responded: "The Germans were quite satisfied with the equipnt we provided, especially the electromagnetic rifles. They hope we can provide them with the blueprints so they can also produce these rifles to arm the frontline troops to combat alien creatures.
However, the Germans seem to not value the exoskeletons. Although they received and equipped them to their troops, their feedback suggests that they find these exoskeletons not very practical and too resource-consuming. They would rather produce more electromagnetic rifles."
"The Germans have this kind of ntality? Are they dissatisfied with the exoskeletons, or do they just find them impractical?" Chen Xin was sowhat puzzled by the Germans' thoughts.
"No, in fact, the Germans are satisfied with the exoskeletons, but the problem is that resources in Europe are extrely scarce right now. All resources have to be used for war weapon production. The Germans feel that the exoskeletons consu too many resources," the technical personnel explained with a laugh and a sense of helplessness: "The resources needed for one set of exoskeletons can produce three electromagnetic rifles. If only electromagnetic rifles are produced, the sa resources can arm four soldiers, but if it's exoskeletons and electromagnetic rifles combined, it can only arm one soldier. The Germans find this too costly; they don't have enough resources to make such extravagant investnts."
Hearing the technical personnel's explanation, Chen Xin, while understanding, also felt deeply helpless.
In a more flattering language, the European countries could be called developed Western nations. Less flatteringly, they might just be a bunch of unruly dilapidated houses. In terms of industrial production capacity or basic infrastructure capabilities, they have long lagged behind Fla Country. Even in resource production, before the disaster, they were heavily reliant on imports from other countries.
And now, after losing resource imports, relying solely on dostic resource production makes it difficult to et their consumption needs, not to ntion dealing with a war.
Especially after the disaster, all countries lost a lot of industrial capacity, and resource production was even less.
If it weren't for the fact that the European countries finally united against the alien invasion and pooled their resources together, their situation would probably be even worse.
Thinking of this, Chen Xin could only helplessly shake his head and said to the technical personnel: "After providing them with the equipnt, how they use it is not our concern. You're only responsible for processing the materials and producing the equipnt so they can withstand the alien creatures' attack."
"Rest assured, Academician. Before coming, the country had already drawn up the relevant plans and contingency strategies; we won't delay things." The technical personnel told Chen Xin this with confidence.
While Chen Xin did not doubt whether the European fleet could complete the task, he still asked the technical personnel: "Did the Germans distribute the weapons and equipnt you gave them to other countries, or did they just arm their troops and send them to the front lines to resist alien creatures?"
This was also a major concern for Chen Xin. Fla Country sent a fleet for support, and even though they were using their materials for production, the hope was to assist the Europeans in improving their combat power against the alien invasion.
If the Germans took the equipnt only to arm themselves and stayed in the back while watching people from other countries fight the alien creatures, Chen Xin could not accept that under any circumstances.
"Regarding this, please rest assured, Academician Chen, we will not sit idly by if such a situation arises." Facing Chen Xin's concerns, the technical personnel confidently assured him: "The diplomatic personnel have already started contacting Britain and France. We have sent a land ship to engage with them.
Additionally, on the German side, although they have not sent the troops equipped with electromagnetic rifles and exoskeletons to the front lines yet, adopting new equipnt requires ti to adapt and master. Moreover, they have sent a small batch of electromagnetic rifles to the frontline troops to test their actual effectiveness on the battlefield."
"Thank you for your hard work. Take care of your safety while in Europe. Be careful of those Europeans while defending against alien creature attacks. In the past, they dared to seize our things, so in this environnt, you must be cautious about their insatiable greed." Chen Xin had no particularly good impression of those Europeans and thus was especially wary of them.
But this isn't Chen Xin being paranoid, as under this current environnt, European countries can only be described as struggling to survive. There's no telling what desperate asures they might take.
