Chapter: A Futile Attempt

The room was heavy with an intense, almost suffocating silence.

Adam’s sharp gaze shifted to Samuel, who sat motionless in his chair.

Despite the humiliation he had endured, Samuel’s defiant deanor remained intact, though his silence hinted at the tension he carried.

Adam thinks that he has to release Christina at any cost, he has no other option left and he has only one choice left which he will make now which is his last trump card.

Turning to Phantom, who floated a few feet away, her translucent, glowing blue form radiating quiet power, Adam spoke.

His voice was calm, asured. "Phantom," he said, "can you attempt to release Christina?"

Adam is left with no other choice but to use the Phantom to draw out Christina and hope she succeeds.

Phantom bowed her head slightly in acknowledgnt, her ethereal glow dimming for a mont as she responded. "Lord Adam, I will do everything I can."

Adam shakes his head as he listens to the Phantom, hoping she will succeed at any cost as every second is too precious for Adam.

With a smooth motion, Phantom turned and began to glide toward Samuel.

As she approached, Samuel’s deanor shifted subtly. Though his face betrayed no outward reaction, his muscles tensed.

Unlike Adam, Phantom filled him with a deep, instinctive fear. She was, after all, the one responsible for his capture.

His enhanced senses scread at him that Phantom’s presence was unlike anything else in Adam’s arsenal—a being of pure power.

Samuel hates the Phantom very much, he is also afraid of her. He does not want to et her in the future, no matter where he is, and he does not want to face her whether on the battlefield or in real life.

As Phantom neared, Samuel closed his eyes tightly, refusing to look at her. He couldn’t bear the sight of her. She represented not only his defeat but also his vulnerability.

Hovering directly in front of Samuel, Phantom extended one hand toward him, her fingers glowing with an intense white light.

Samuel remained still, his eyes shut tight, his body rigid. He had resigned himself to whatever Phantom intended to do, though his clenched fists and shallow breathing betrayed the turmoil beneath his calm exterior.

Adam is very surprised by Samuel’s behavior. He thought that Samuel would resist a lot or maybe he would try to release his power, Adam himself will have to intervene and control him.

Emily and Krish, standing to the side, watched the scene unfold with wide eyes.

They exchanged nervous glances, their fear of Phantom palpable. Even Krish, who rarely took anything seriously, looked visibly shaken.

As Phantom’s hand made contact with Samuel’s forehead, a burst of brilliant white energy surged through the room.

Her entire form began to shimr and pulse with power, and Samuel’s forehead lit up with the sa radiant glow.

Phantom closed her eyes, focusing all her energy on the task at hand.

The glow intensified, the air crackling with energy as Phantom pushed her abilities to their limit.

Samuel’s body convulsed slightly, his face contorting in pain as the sealing energy fought back against Phantom’s efforts.

Looking at Samuel’s face it is clear how much pain he is in but he is neither saying anything nor doing any action, he is just enduring it.

Adam, Ninja, Zero, and Sona observed the process in complete silence, their expressions a mixture of hope and apprehension. Phantom’s glow grew brighter and brighter, filling the dimly lit room with a blinding white light.

Seconds felt like hours as Phantom continued her attempt.

Finally, her hand began to tremble, the light dimming slightly as she withdrew her hand from Samuel’s forehead.

The connection broke, and Samuel gasped for air, his chest heaving as though he had just run a marathon.

Beads of sweat glistened on his forehead, and his eyes fluttered open, filled with exhaustion and relief. The pain was evident on his face, his breaths ragged as he slumped against the chair.

adam is very surprised to see this and thinks that maybe it is not that easy for Christina to co out, if even the Phantom is not successful then how will Christina co out?

Phantom turned slowly to face Adam. Bowing her head slightly, she said, "Lord Adam, forgive , but I am unable to release Christina."

Her words hung in the air like a weight, pressing down on everyone in the room. Adam’s expression tightened, his mind racing. He had not expected Phantom to fail.

Adam rose from his chair, his gaze fixed on Phantom. "Why?" he asked, his voice calm but carrying a sharp edge. "What’s the issue?"

Phantom hesitated for a mont, her glowing form dimming slightly as she processed her response.

Adam is also waiting for the Phantom to respond, he knows that if the Phantom has refused then it must an there is so reason.

Finally, she spoke. "Lord Adam, the sealing energy is... exceedingly complex. It is unlike anything I’ve encountered before. Its structure is layered, intricate, and adaptive. Even if I were to focus on this task for years, I cannot guarantee success. I lack the capability to unravel such an advanced formula."

Her admission struck Adam like a blow. He stood silently for a mont, his mind grappling with the implications.

If Phantom, one of his most powerful creations, couldn’t undo the seal, then what hope was there?

His gaze flickered to Samuel, who was still recovering from the ordeal. Despite his exhaustion, Samuel’s lips curled into a faint smirk, as if to mock Adam’s predicant.

Adam clenched his fists, the weight of the situation pressing down on him. The seal wasn’t just a barrier; it was a testant to the sheer power of the one who had created it.

He glanced back at Phantom, her glow faint but steady, and nodded. "You did well, Phantom. Thank you for trying."

The Chapter closed with Adam deep in thought, the challenge of breaking the seal on Christina looming larger than ever before.
