"What’s going on?"

The temperature around them had beco increasingly high. Even the Level 5 Powerhouse from the Peace Party was sweating profusely, turning into a lake of new humans. In many aspects, abilities significantly rose, but when it ca to heat resistance, not only did it not increase for those who evolved into new humans, it actually decreased. The heat resistance decreased with the strength level of new humans, particularly those above Level 3. Normally, temperatures around thirty degrees Celsius during sumr were enough to make new humans uncomfortable, and even normal temperatures of twenty-seven or twenty-eight degrees Celsius could feel like a scorching day for them.

Similarly, as their heat resistance decreased, new humans had considerably stronger cold resistance. Experints had shown that a Level 4 New Human could live like a normal person while naked in environnts as cold as minus twenty degrees Celsius.

Thus, unless there were so new humans who had gone through abnormal evolutionary changes, general new humans were most fearful of sumr. And now, the sudden skyrocketing temperatures were making two Level 5 New Humans feel unbearably hot and restless!

The soldiers had confused looks on their faces. At that mont, they felt as though they were sweating in a sauna, drenched in sweat in just a short while.

The scorching heat waves rolled over them in waves, one hotter than the next. At that mont, soone seed to have realized sothing, a look of despair appearing on their face.

"No good, it might be that remnants from the Old rcenary Guild have activated the aircraft."

As soon as soone brought it up, others quickly caught on. They were at the base of the aircraft, and once it launched, the flas emitted from the base could reach temperatures of thousands of degrees, instantly turning them into piles of ashes!

"No good, run! Run."

"Retreat! Everyone retreat!"

Suddenly, the officers who had caught on started frantically shouting the words retreat. Hundreds of Peace Party soldiers retreated like the tide, realizing that it wasn’t just the high temperatures from the weapons used by the Peace Party to breach the door, but also sothing else!

But what else could it be?

Little Sea quickly thought of one possibility and feelings of despair instantly filled his heart!

"No!"

Letting out an unwilling roar to the sky, he hurriedly picked up the access control and burst into his fastest speed, dashing to the door behind him to swipe his card at the sensor. Normally, swiping an access card would easily open the steel doors, but today an exception occurred at the most crucial ti.

When his access card touched the sensor, the built-in intelligent system emitted the most despairing sound with an icy, emotionless chanical voice.

"Sorry, the system... has crashed. Please restart the system."

Hearing this unbearably cold chanical voice, Little Sea had a very bad feeling. He hurriedly shouted at the cara, "Restart, hurry and reboot the system for ."

Unfortunately, his urgent voice didn’t get any response from the intelligent system again. The red light in the middle of the cara flickered a few tis in his eyes and then suddenly went out.

"No!"

The high temperature filled the space of less than fifty square ters, and the temperature was still rising. In less than a minute, the temperature had probably reached hundreds of degrees, and soon, it broke the 200-degree mark. Little Sea, as a Level 5 New Human, had his clothing fibers decomposed by the heat, and his skin quickly turned red and even began to whiten in so areas as it started to wrinkle.

Had it not been for the robust physical condition of a Level 5 New Human, he would have been cooked by now. He swung his fist and smashed it hard on the alloy door, only leaving a fist imprint. The alloy door was very hard; otherwise, the Peace Party soldiers wouldn’t have used high-temperature weapons to lt it.

In the high-temperature environnt, Little Sea felt completely drained, only wishing to imrse his entire body in freezing snow water.

"No, no, please, reboot, reboot for , I need you to reboot!"

He collapsed on the ground, continuously smashing his fists against the alloy door. With each strike, another imprint was made, though each was shallower than the last, indicating his strength was diminishing as the temperature continued to rise.

Not knowing how many tis he yelled at the cara, the intelligent system not only failed to respond, it seed to grow weary of his unpleasant cries. With a "click," the engineering plastic shell of the cara lted, turning into droplets of plastic that fell on Little Sea’s face, similar to a bird defecating on him from the sky.

But Little Sea had no mind to care about that, he was only desperate to survive, striving to live on!

"Chairman, you said you wouldn’t abandon , why, why don’t you keep your word, I don’t want to die, I’m not ready to die, save , sobody save ."

His voice grew weaker and weaker, but no one responded to him. The only response was the temperature, which had now broken 500 degrees and was still climbing rapidly!

Once the temperature broke 600 degrees, the intense heat seed like a beast breaking its chains. In the next second, flas, red-hot, surged furiously, instantly lting everything below the seventh floor of the chanical Building!

The temperature multiplied insanely again, and within a few seconds, the temperature inside the chanical Building had surpassed a thousand degrees, lting the sturdy bottom floors of the building in an instant, turning into a stream of molten iron that flowed down hissing like lava.

"Quickly, retreat! Move faster, if you don’t want to die, run!"

The Peace Party soldiers dashed down the stairwell, but they could never outrun the rapidly spreading lava. Soon, blood-red flas engulfed everyone, instantly turning even the powerful Level 5 New Humans into ash.

Boom!

Under the onslaught of thousands of degrees, the chanical Building soon began to bend, much like heated and warped plastic. Black smoke billowed from above, and as the flas grew more and more intense, with a "boom," the lower floors of the building turned red-hot, then exploded outwards in all directions!

Shards of various alloy materials were scattered everywhere, every living thing inside the building was instantly subrged, and the explosion’s shards tore the surrounding buildings flat. Soldiers stationed outside suffered heavy injuries, blood ran like rivers, and cries of agony filled the air, making the scene resemble hell on earth.

At the sa ti, a silver streamlined aircraft about seven to eight ters long crashed through and revealed its front section at the top of the chanical Building, while the floors below were continuously lted by the blaze sprayed from the aircraft, reducing the building in height as ti passed, exposing more of the aircraft to the onlookers below.
