Tang Ye’s fists clenched tightly, cracking audibly. Xu Haishui loved studying the evolution crystals of those special zombies. Hence, in order to cultivate these zombies with special abilities, he always stored a large number of evolution crystals. By today’s standards, the evolution crystals inside would amount to almost six million Yajin!
This six million was not comparable to six million from before the Apocalypse. In terms of purchasing power, these Yajin could probably buy two or even three bases!
But now, what the hell was left?!
Just then, the shouts of so soldiers ca from downstairs.
"Chairman! We’ve caught a wounded soldier from the United District!"
At these words, Tang Ye turned his head and went downstairs, and soon arrived in front of the soldiers.
Three solders were holding a bloody man. His military uniform was torn to shreds, and pieces of armor covered his shoulder. Blood dripped down the ridges on his clothes. He looked seriously injured.
Judging by his clothing, it was apparent this guy was a soldier from the United District, but it was unclear which control zone he belonged to.
Though Tang Ye was angry, he wasn’t out of control. Suppressing his rage, he asked, "Who do you work for?"
The soldier didn’t respond and kept his head down, concealing his expression.
Tang Ye tilted his head and signaled the soldiers. Imdiately understanding, one of them walked up to the United District soldier, brought up his fists and, regardless of the man’s condition, slamd right into his abdon!
Ah!
With a cry of agony, the soldier felt as if a storm was brewing in his stomach. The pain was unbearable. After vomiting up blood, he quickly pleaded, "Don’t... stop hitting , I’ll talk! I’ll talk... cough, cough... ahhh."
"I belong to the Jinhai Control Zone in the United District. We ca here to rob..." He hesitated to finish his sentence, probably due the embarrassnt. It was clear that Tang Ye was furious, and the soldier dared not be slightly presumptuous against a Level 6 New Human.
"You ca to steal the evolution crystals?"
"Yes... cough, cough... our commissioner heard that the Peace Party stored many evolution crystals, even more than Liu Lancang. So, we ca."
"Liu Lancang? Who is he?"
"He... he’s the strongest among the seven commissioners, a Level 5 New Human himself."
"What’s your commissioner’s na?"
"He Jinzhan. It was him who first received the news and planned with Li Songhua to wipe out the Peace Party in Qinshan Base. Initially, only those at Jinhai knew, but I don’t know how the other commissioners also learned about this. That’s when everyone ca."

Tang Ye nodded his head. Just when the United District soldier thought he could sigh in relief, the very next second, he was confronted with a statent that filled him with despair.
"Drag him downstairs and kill him!"
Tang Ye glanced at his storage place, cringing in his heart. That was six million Yajin! This was equivalent to more than a lifeti’s worth of earnings from when he was a laborer before the Apocalypse. The burden was too much for anyone. This was hundreds to thousands of tis worse than when he lost his phone.
With such an extent of anger, how could Tang Ye let this soldier live easily?
It was already rciful to not torture him to death!
But, thankfully, Qinshan Base was almost in his possession. After confiscating Li Songhua’s assets, he should be able to recover so losses. Furthermore, there were facilities for producing high-tech equipnt and weapons like the Canghe-P90 and H-steel. As long as he got his hands on these, the Yajin loss of six million wouldn’t matter much.
Also, Li Songhua had many research personnel on-hand.
Peace Party soldiers on-site were slowly clearing the corpses from the Peace Party’s base, piling them up as sacrificial offerings. In a short while, all the bodies from various locations were collected.
Just when people were about to incense for worship, sothing unusual happened. Ca out of the pile of dead bodies was a weird gurgling sound that startled everyone.
"Everyone back off, everyone back off!" Bai Huipeng reacted quickly, shouting for everyone to move away. The noise didn’t sound like anything a human could make! At this point, only zombies could make such a noise.
So corpses inside had transford into zombies!
Everyone deciphered it at the count of a heartbeat. Tang Ye squinted and approached, intending to move the bodies and see what was underneath.
Grumble~
Bang!
At that mont, the strange noise resounded again, and with a bang, the body pile exploded. A wave of shock was sent out that blasted dozens of Peace Party soldiers away.
Roar!
A thunderous roar ca from the center of the corpse pile, taking the enraged soldiers of the Peace Party by surprise.
"What the hell is that!" Tang Ye snarled, his form a blur. In an instant, he was before the creature, grabbing its neck and flinging it aside. When he got a good look at the creature, Tang Ye was taken aback.
"Xu Haishui?"
At first glance, he didn’t recognize him. But when he flung him aside, he finally took notice of the pitch-black eyes of the otherwise unrecognizable creature. However, the current Xu Haishui looked incredibly different from the one he rembered.
The forr Xu Haishui only appeared as a zombie when the mask on his face was removed and he was tightly wrapped in his regular clothes. But now, he stood nearly three ters tall, was slender in build, had nurous tentacles growing from his neck, and a large patch of flesh filled with bloody threads that stretched from his back, bursting the clothes he wore.
Densely packed scales covered his entire body. They sprouted two bone spurs that extended all the way to his arms from his waist, looking ferocious and terrifying.
Upon hearing Tang Ye’s voice, Xu Haishui was taken aback, unsure of how to respond. Not long ago, the United District had given him a severe beating during their rebellion. During the fight, his strength wasn’t much greater than that of a Level 3 zombie and he was regularly defeated. Without another option, he consud a large number of high-level evolution crystals, causing him to evolve to Level 6. When he woke up, he thought the United District was still present and was preparing to strike back. Who knew that now there was no sign of the United District? All he saw was soldiers from the Peace Party!
Tang Ye didn’t give him any ti to stay dazed. Flashing his form, Tang Ye moved at high speed, and in a swoosh, he rushed forward, gripped Haishui’s neck and headed back upstairs.
"You all can get back to your business. I’ll research this guy a bit."
"Uh huh."
Seeing Tang Ye leaving with Xu Haishui, the others didn’t say much. Xu Haishui also knew that Tang Ye was trying to help him save face, so he didn’t resist and allowed himself to be carried by Tang Ye to the upper floor.
"What’s going on with you? Have you evolved?"
Entering a vacant room, Tang Ye asked, looking Xu Haishui up and down. His aura had beco more powerful, suggesting that he had indeed evolved to Level 6.
"Yep, yes, I was before..."
Xu Haishui recounted all that had happened earlier, scratching his head a little hesitantly, and asked, "Chairman, where is my pet?"
"What pet?"
