After sensing the information transmitted by the Zombie Dragon, Tang Ye twisted his neck a couple of tis, causing a "ka-chack ka-chack" sound from the friction of his bones.
"In my case, quantity isn’t better than quality!"
Tang Ye looked at the batch of zombies below him and then spoke to the air.
"Is that so?"
The Level 2 zombie scoffed as if deeming Tang Ye’s words unworthy.
But Tang Ye was not bothered. The blood tissue that had randomly scattered around was abruptly drawn back. He had no idea how far he flung the invisible demonic spirit zombies this ti.
With his body regaining its human shape, Tang Ye waved his hands, with all the overflowing black mist coalescing into one mass, preparing for the next round of attack.
However, just as Tang Ye was constructing a sword with the black mist, his complexion suddenly changed!
"Not good!"
A sensation of his body parts being switched from left to right ca over him, making Tang Ye reveal a rare expression of panic.
His body was out of sync!
This indicated an energy deficiency in the left and right parts of his body. But this body was just a clone, and the energy in it was in a chaotic state. Even so parts of the body had energy reserves. The real body, however, couldn’t gauge the energy levels within the clone. This led to his false impression that he still possessed sufficient energy.
Since he left Lin city to help Nannan find her guardian, Tang Ye hadn’t paid attention to replenishing his clones’ energy, which must have run out after several months, right?
Though he had been through many battles during that ti, running out of energy didn’t seem a problem. But now, this shortage of energy was causing a problem at this critical mont!
"Damn it!"
Tang Ye wanted to curse in frustration. With an unsynchronized body, he knew he had to retreat!
Watching the zombies charging at him, Tang Ye felt annoyed. This was the first ti he had felt disadvantaged against his own kind.
However, he pretended to be nonchalant. With a quick glance, he saw Chen Zhou’an and the others nearby. After so thought, he decided to leave.
Although the Zombie Dragon could potentially wipe out all the zombies here with its corrosive breath, it was Tang Ye’s hidden trump card. He was prepared to unleash it only when he couldn’t spare ti to save Nannan from danger.
He himself could afford to have no energy, but if the Zombie Dragon ran out of energy, any encounter with trouble would beco disastrous for Tang Ye.
"Attack!"
The controlled Level 2 zombie waved its hand, and a multitude of zombies crowded together, lunging at Tang Ye with shaky steps and clawed hands.
"You guys go ahead!"
Tang Ye shouted at Chen Zhou’an and the others. They hesitated and exchanged looks, then, without another word, they revved up their engines and dashed forward.
They were still in a trance from watching the Zombie King Battle against the zombie horde. The Zombie King had told them to leave, implying that he might be about to retreat himself.
For a Zombie King, being locked in a deadlock with a horde of zombies was utterly pointless.
The master of that consciousness noticed Tang Ye’s move and seed to have figured out sothing. The zombies he controlled chuckled in derision and mocked, "Why, planning to run, are you?
Tang Ye felt its consciousness getting excited. He knew what this ant — this creature had probably guessed that he was low on energy, and that was why it was thrilled...
To Tang Ye, this creature was a mystery. He didn’t understand it. But to this creature, wasn’t Tang Ye equally enigmatic?
This was its first encounter with such a high-level zombie. Like Tang Ye, the creature had discovered that devouring the Evolution Crystals of high-level zombies could expedite its evolution. Thus, it used this knowledge and its exceptional ntal control that surpassed that of its peers to control zombies more powerful than itself. This led to its evolution. In just a year and a half, it had transford from a survivor sneaking around in the sewers into a Level 5 High-level ntal-type Zombie!
A Level 6 zombie was a first for it too. It had no idea what abilities Tang Ye possessed. From the beginning, it had tried to control Tang Ye using its well-tested ntal control, intending to kill him and devour his Evolution Crystal to evolve to Level 6.
However, it later discovered that it simply couldn’t control Tang Ye. At that mont, it panicked a little and felt baffled. Its pride and joy — its exceptional ntal power and ntal attacks — were utterly useless against Tang Ye, which ant that obtaining a Level 6 Evolution Crystal wouldn’t be easy.
The creature was slightly dazed at this result. Just when it was about to give up on provoking the formidable Level 6 zombie, it was incited by Tang Ye’s insult and recent actions. The creature hadn’t imagined that such a provocation would yield such an outco, and how could this not get it excited?
This was like seeing a silver lining in darkness!
"Hehehehahaha! Seeking your own doom, are you? Well then, you are mine now!"
The creature, controlling the zombie, voiced out in laughter. Its coarse tone revealed its uncontainable excitent. Under the influence of its emotions, the following zombie wave started to run even faster!
"You’re full of hot air! Go on, give it a try!" Tang Ye’s retort was peculiarly quirky while the creature completely ignored it, but its tone began to grow strange.
"Tell , what’s your na? Once I get what I want, I’ll erect a morial tablet for you and make offerings to it every day. Hahaha!"
"You’re really dreaming." Tang Ye smirked.
"You’re running out of energy. That’s how it is. Let’s see who the victor is. Hehahaha."
This creature seed to have Tang Ye completely under control. It was rely waiting for the endless waves of zombies to drain the life out of Tang Ye. But just when the wave of zombies began to surround Tang Ye, a deep rumbling roar reverberated from an unexpected place.
"What was that?" The laughter of the controlled zombie stuttered as it started to be vigilant about its surroundings.
"My pet is here, hahaha."
Tang Ye burst into laughter too, sitting cross-legged as the wave of zombies slowly enveloped him. The mont when nurous clawed hands nearly touched Tang Ye, the ground suddenly cracked open!
There were nurous rocks inside the mountain, and after the Zombie Dragon had turned into a zombie, it had acquired the ability to burrow. It had journeyed all the way from Fengming City, where the underground earth had more rocks than soil. The mont it burrowed out, rocks disintegrated!
Whoosh!
The entire ground seed to be shaken by an enormous hand, causing an unsteady sway back and forth.
"How can there be an earthquake... no... sothing’s beneath us!... It’s, it’s!"
The controlled Level 2 zombie’s broken voice echoed in surprise. And then... the mountain completely crumbled. The entire village was torn in half and amidst the flying dust, the robust shadow of a creature with armored body was faintly discernible!
How tough was this creature? Its girth could probably match that of a building!
Roar!
The ancient, bell-like roar spread in the air, followed by the rumbling sound of rolling rocks which was stunning at that mont. By the ti the zombie was able to react, it saw an enormous dragon staring at itself with piercing white eyes.
"You..."
An amazed zombie was at a loss for words. At this mont, Tang Ye was sitting on the Zombie Dragon’s head, chuckling at the zombie. But the zombie didn’t get a chance to respond. The Zombie Dragon opened its massive mouth and drew a torrent of air towards the zombie, creating a breezy cut in the sporadic mountain.
The Zombie Dragon was initially intending to turn around to face the zombie wave, but Tang Ye stopped it.
"Let’s go! Ignore them."
