In front of a collapsed building ruin, a giant concrete stone suddenly shook, then was flipped over by a trendous force, revealing an overturned military transport vehicle inside!

Thud! Thud! Thud!

After several loud noises, this transport vehicle, overturned with its top down, seed to be lifted by so terrifying force, and below, two human hands could be clearly seen!

Before long, a man crawled out from the rubble in a state of disarray, then sat on the ground, leaning against a broken wall, gasping heavily. He looked at the panicked people in front of him, a bit confused, attempting to recall sothing, but the dizziness made his head feel like splitting. With a roar, his face turned pale, and he had to stop.

Scanning his eyes around, he saw several soldier corpses lying on the chaotic street, the blood flowing from their head wounds still warm, indicating they died not long ago. Next to the corpses were laser weapons left by the soldiers.

Seeing the weapons, the man, enduring excruciating pain, struggled to his feet, moving towards the laser weapons by the corpses, a series of actions almost instinctual, knowledge engraved in his DNA.

Only with weapons could he survive!

But he wasn’t the only one who saw those weapons; the people hurriedly trying to flee also saw them. In the next second, everyone rushed forward, eager to grab the weapons.

The people who grabbed the weapons imdiately pointed the barrels at others, without a word, opened fire straightforwardly. Laser beams streaked through the air or pierced the sky, screams rang out endlessly, blood splattered on people’s faces, the sll of blood drove the already rabid people into more of a frenzy, like wolves!

The ones who got the weapons didn’t remain happy for long, swiftly knocked away by the just-awakened man, crashing into the ruins, splattering flesh, and had their weapons seized smoothly by the man.

This scene stunned the others holding lethal weapons, sowhat astonished, but soon soone reacted, aiming the barrels at the man and opening fire without hesitation!

Laser beams sizzled across, but terrifyingly, the originally powerful laser beams didn’t inflict any harm on the man, instead successfully attracting his attention!

"Not good, this guy is at least a Level 6 New Human!"

"Holy sh*t! Run!"

Realizing they provoked an existence they shouldn’t have, the ruffians panicked, only thinking about saving their lives, but it was too late by then, the man turned, his eyes focused, without a word, pressed the shooting button and retaliated in the sa manner!

Just like that, the ruffians were blasted apart by laser beams during their escape, couldn’t even utter a scream, felt no pain at all.

When no one was left around, the man placed the weapon down, looking around in confusion. At this mont, a squad of soldiers wearing exoskeleton armor ca jogging from afar, ready to join the main forces when they passed by the man and stopped. The leading officer approached him, frowned, and asked, "Please show your identification."

At these words, the man beca more bewildered: "What identification? I... I don’t have identification, and also... Do you know who I am? I seem... I seem to have amnesia..." As he spoke, the expression on his face turned painful, the laser weapon in his hand suddenly fell to the ground, clutching his head tightly, his mind a chaotic blur, unable to rember anything before awakening.

The officer was montarily stunned after hearing this, exchanged a glance with the soldiers behind him, then scrutinized the man before them.

A battle just took place nearby, with over twenty Level 8 New Humans involved from start to finish, leaving hardly any intact buildings within several kiloters. This person seed to be affected by that battle.

A soldier enlisted into their ranks? But doesn’t look like it?

If he were a fellow in the army unit, he’d still be in uniform after the battle, but this man was wearing a brown sweater and a black jacket externally on the upper body, brownish-green cargo pants below with so food residue stuck on it, faintly slling of a pungent acid stench, possibly... vomit?

Soon after, the officer withdrew his gaze. Despite being unclear about the man’s identity, he roughly guessed he’s likely a deserter or sothing. In such a special period, many new humans were forcefully conscripted, while not everyone feared death, more people did, and little antics were inevitable.

Such antics were noticed by higher-ups, whether they cared was another matter.

This guy was a Level 6 New Human, deserter or not, there’s no reason to not give him leniency. At this ti, every bit of strength increased humanity’s odds by a fraction; stubbornness would be truly hopeless!

"Do you rember your na?" The officer inquired.

The man thought for a mont, but in the next second, the feeling of his head about to explode ca again. He took a deep breath and had to stop, replied to the officer, "I don’t know, I really don’t know my na..."

"Not a single clue?"

"None..."

"Alright then... follow us, and I’ll take you to confirm your identity later."

"You... you can do that?"

"Such a small matter, we can accomplish it."

The man didn’t know what else to do, so he could only agree to the officer’s request. Nodding, he said, "Alright, I’ll follow you."

At these words, the officer disengaged and removed the exoskeleton armor, handing over a compression bag to him and said, "By the way, this is for you."

The man glanced at the red compression bag; although he couldn’t imdiately recall what it was, he vaguely knew it was sothing valuable, difficult for ordinary people to obtain. Before he could reach out to take it, the officer hung his exoskeleton armor’s compression bag onto his hand.

"I..." He was sowhat stunned, unable to find words to describe the officer for a long while, only managing to say, "Th-thank you, you’re really kind, but now that you’ve given it to , what about you?"

The officer smiled knowingly and said, "I can go retrieve another set, rest assured it’ll protect your life."

"Ah? Ah... good... good."

"Let’s go." The officer gestured, leading the squad towards the distant anti-corpse wall. The man donned the exoskeleton armor and followed, but before he took a few steps, the ground suddenly cracked, and a dark shadow flashed out, directly hitting the officer!

The terrifying impact sent the soldiers in front of him flying!

He was stunned; in an instant, only he stood there, witnessing the scene of the officer’s body getting shattered, blood and flesh scattered.
