Heh~ Heh~

The monster struggled to extricate itself from the wall, turned to face Tang Ye, and roared with a gaping mouth as if to intimidate him!

"No way out, huh?"

Placing the candle on the ground, Tang Ye no longer needed it now. However, the fla of this candle was surprisingly resilient; even with the rapidity of the movent, it stubbornly refused to die out. The fla weakened under the pressure of the wind, but as soon as he stopped, it flickered for a bit before flaring up again.

This was indeed strange. Ordinarily, flas would likely be extinguished by the wind pressure when one starts running, but the fla on this candle was extraordinarily tenacious. Moreover, everything around him felt the sa—although the destruction he caused in the hallway seed the sa as the outside world, it gave him a sense of stubborn resilience. Tang Ye didn’t know whether this was an illusion or where this sensation ca from.

He eyed the monster in front of him, stretched out his hand to draw his Blood Blade, and advanced step by step!

The murderous intent emanating from Tang Ye seed to drop the temperature of the air by several degrees!

When he was less than a ter away, Tang Ye abruptly raised the long blade, pointing the tip straight at the creature.

"I ask, you answer!"

Tang Ye said, furrowing his brows slightly after speaking, sensing sothing was off.

It was uncertain if the creature understood, but it struggled to prop itself up with its remaining limbs, severing parts of its own body, various organs dragging out, and a thick viscous fluid flowed, concealing the patterns on the floor and the cracks created when it smashed into the wall.

It extended its arms towards Tang Ye, twisting its joints as if a ballerina in dance, except it moved only its upper body and not the lower.

Tang Ye narrowed his eyes, unsure of the monster’s intentions. Judging from the strength it had displayed, it was beyond the capabilities of Level 8. In front of Level 9, the difference between them seed just a number, but in reality, a Level 8 is no more than a mouse in the presence of Level 9. A person may get bitten by a mouse in despair and lose a chunk of flesh, but if the person’s strength is sufficient, they can stomp a mouse dead with one foot!

And the direct disparity between himself and this monster was more like a person facing a vicious dog; the dog could kill a person, but the person could easily dispatch the dog with so injuries—as long as they’re not afraid to get hurt.

In any case, the monster had transcended the level of Level 8, though not fully at Level 9, a situation seemingly similar to his own...

Furthermore, Tang Ye wasn’t certain if this creature was Dairya.

Tang Ye kept a sharp eye on the creature performing its fervent dance, his gaze mysterious, pondering unknown thoughts.

As seconds ticked by, Tang Ye got no answer, seemingly waiting to see what it would do next, or as if watching its performance. After about a minute, the silent dance was no longer quiet. It opened its mouth, and a chanting sound erged, the lody lodious and eerily out of place in this setting.

It produced syllables one after another, seemingly words of so language, yet Tang Ye had never encountered such a tongue, not even before the Apocalypse with its information explosion.

With its chanting, it swung its arms to the beats of the strange lody, which made one feel as though walking on a desolate road with a dense fog ahead, the destination unseen.

Shaking his head, Tang Ye forced his vision to focus and heightened his vigilance. Was that recent sensation a fignt or a hallucination?

Tang Ye was sowhat of a blur.

Just at that mont, the chanting abruptly ceased, and the sound emanating from the opponent’s mouth suddenly beca piercingly sharp!

In a blur, Tang Ye saw the figure in front of him pounce straight at him! A few articulated limbs with sharply pointed ends stabbed towards him!

In a desperate situation, Tang Ye swung his blade diagonally in a powerful slash!

The massive force impacted his own body, Tang Ye felt his own flesh being torn open by the articulated limbs, while his blade also sliced through sothing with a "crack"!

Then, a loud boom followed, and a violent storm erupted, tossing the decorations on the walls of the hall into the air! The walls started to "crack crack" with cracks, which in just an instant, spread across the entire hall!

The pendant decorations on the ceiling loosened with these cracks and in the next second directly crashed down! After that, other places followed suit, the fragnts of stone never seeming to cease, and myriad pieces of rubble kept falling!

After a brief exchange of blows, Tang Ye and his opponent simultaneously retreated backward!

Boom! Rumble rumble~crack~

Following two loud noises, Tang Ye was directly smashed against the wall, creating a concave pit, seven to eight ters in diater. Tang Ye’s body was deeply embedded, with fragnts from the ceiling and walls constantly falling to the ground, kicking up dust, quickly obscuring Tang Ye’s body, and hiding the sight of the opponent from each other.

Crack~clang!

The hall began to tilt, a one-ter-wide crack appeared on the ceiling, and large amounts of rubble buried Tang Ye’s body like rain, but the next second, the dust was flung aside, Tang Ye jumped out holding his long saber, covered with dirt. However, at this point, his body had already exceeded five ters in height, with thick white hair that reached his waist, and billowing black smoke continuously seeping from his body, further adding to the bizarre atmosphere.

The tentacles on his back waved like pythons, standing stiffly straight as Tang Ye went berserk!

"Die!"

With a roar, Tang Ye leapt four to five ters high, his blood-colored long saber wrapped in thick black fog, smashing towards the scatter of dust, while the fleshy flaps on his back also pierced towards that direction!

The air seed to rip wherever the edge of the saber went! Ti seed to halt at that mont. On the other side, the chanting resud, only it seed more fatigued than before.

Whoosh~

The blood-colored long saber plunged straight into the ground, and four fleshy flaps precisely stabbed in the four directions around the blade. At the sa ti, the entire hall was completely enveloped in dust, only the faint light of candles could be dimly seen!

An explosion occurred in the corner of the wall, and fragnts that were directly hit were crushed into fine powder by the powerful pressure!

The sinister and cold chanting stopped at this mont, and not long after, a black shadow flew into the sky through the thick dust, as the powerful pressure destroyed the hall beyond recognition!
