They took turns punching and kicking the drunkard, who kept retreating bit by bit. Unable to stand any longer, he tried to squat, but even before he could, Li Xiaoyan grabbed his hand, bent his waist and threw him over his shoulder.
The drunkard’s body slamd hard onto the ground as he started to moan in pain. But in China, a street fight has its own rules - the fight isn’t over when soone falls down; in fact, that’s when the real fight begins!
The mont the drunkard hit the ground, the trio started kicking and beating him rcilessly as if he was a dog drowning in water.
"You think you’re tough, huh? Are you still badass? Huh?"

Chen Chaoyang cursed while attacking, clearly a seasoned brawler. In stark contrast to his thuggish style was Yan Jie, whose every attack was infused with extre hatred.
The drunkard’s howls gradually faded until he finally stopped making any sounds. It was hard to tell whether he was knocked unconscious or was dead, as his abdon continued to faintly rise and fall.
Even a New Human wouldn’t be able to withstand such a beating!
After they stopped, Chen Chaoyang spat disdainfully at the drunkard, who lay curled up like a boiled shrimp. He said, "Wow, I thought you were badass. Get up now. Weren’t you going to take us on? Eh, spit! What a reject!"
"Exactly, trash," Li Xiaoyan chipped in.
Yan Jie also seed relieved, but his eyes were still filled with a chilling hatred as he looked at the drunkard. He seed like he wasn’t ready to let him go yet, but at this point, there was no way the drunkard could escape. He turned to Chen Chaoyang and thanked, "Thank you guys!"
"No need, no need. We’re just helping out, you know... heh... hehe."
Chen Chaoyang feigned righteousness but his gaze flicked between the drunkard and Li Xiaoyan, an odd expression on his face.
"Uh... brother, wait a bit. I need to talk to my big brother!"
With that, Chen Chaoyang hurried over to Tang Ye, leaving Yan Jie without a chance to respond. Tang Ye looked at the scene with keen interest and was slightly puzzled by Chen Chaoyang striding towards him.
"What’s up?"
"That, big brother... should we..."
Chen Chaoyang made a slashing motion across his own throat, baffling Tang Ye.
"Why?"

Chen Chaoyang said with a sly grin. Tang Ye didn’t get it at first. He was a New Human himself, why would he need others’ Evolution Crystal Cores?
However, after a mont of thinking, Tang Ye understood and laid his eyes on Li Xiaoyan, who was pretending to watch the scenery and gave him a aningful smile beneath his mask.
"So that’s how it is," Tang Ye said to himself.
On the journey here, Chen Chaoyang was constantly picking on Li Xiaoyan, occasionally hitting him on the head. Li Xiaoyan didn’t seem to mind, but now that the beaten and defenseless drunkard lay before them, Chen Chaoyang was naturally considering Li Xiaoyan’s future.
Li Xiaoyan was not a New Human and would undoubtedly face discrimination and be enslaved in the future. Just by examining the conditions at Yindan Base, one could predict this. However, whether Li Xiaoyan could beco a New Human was up to Tang Ye. The drunkard who had once freely lorded over ordinary people now had his life hanging by a thread at Tang Ye’s rcy.
Tang Ye didn’t respond to Chen Chaoyang’s suggestion and slowly walked towards the fallen drunkard, a fierce glint in his eyes.
Since the Evolution Crystal Core of a New Human could potentially turn soone into a New Human, seizing it might serve a purpose in winning people over.

Tang Ye let out a quiet but piercing laugh. This pleased Chen Chaoyang yet terrified him - he was happy because this ant Li Xiaoyan had the chance to beco New Human, but scared because having Tang Ye around ant their days were not going to be peaceful.
Tang Ye lood over the unconscious drunkard. Soon, the New Human woke up; his first sight was of Tang Ye. Scoffing at him, he clearly didn’t think Tang Ye would dare to kill him. After all, he worked under Yan Zhaofeng - killing him was tantamount to slapping Yan Zhaofeng’s face.
"I warn you, you better back off, or else... hehe." Despite lying beaten, the drunkard was still as arrogant as ever, clearly not having learned his lesson from the beating by Chen Chaoyang and the others.
When Tang Ye approached, Li Xiaoyan pulled Yan Jie back, cautious not to get accidentally injured by this terrifying creature. His eyes filled with pity for the drunkard, who was completely in the dark about what was to co.
Without uttering a word, Tang Ye handed Nannan over to Li Xiaoyan. As soon as Li Xiaoyan took her, Tang Ye told him to cover Nannan’s eyes and not let her see his next actions.
Li Xiaoyan held onto Nannan and turned away. Yan Jie didn’t understand why, but seeing that both Chen Chaoyang and Li Xiaoyan were afraid of this "man", he also followed suit.
Tang Ye crouched down and reached for the drunkard’s head.
"What are you trying to do? Get out of my way! You’d better not ss with ! Fuck..."

But after extracting it, he found a stark difference between the Evolutions Crystal Core and the Evolution Crystal.
A Level 1 Evolution Crystal is not fully hardened. Though transparent on the inside, its yellowish color and impurities are visible on the outside. However, a Level 1 Evolution Crystal Core is different. It feels like a warm stone and its crystal is completely transparent and devoid of impurities.
After casually pocketing the Evolution Crystal Core, Tang Ye gave Li Xiaoyan a mysterious glance before continuing forward.
