The deford creatures ran en masse toward the rear, and to prevent the possibility of so many deford creatures breaking through the defense line at the back, Xu Haishui directed the zombie horde to surround the deford creature group in a crescent shape.

anwhile, people snapped out of the trance caused by the previous scene of the deford creatures fleeing. So what if they ran? They were still within the defense line; no matter how much they ran around on that little road, their fate would still inevitably be destruction.

Gradually, a relaxed smile reappeared on people’s faces, but compared to them, Xu Haishui’s face started to grow increasingly solemn.

"No... sothing’s not right, what is it doing?" Xu Haishui muttered to himself. Just monts ago, he sensed sothing amiss from this group of deford creatures, sothing very wrong. His gaze swept continuously over the group.

Soon, he spotted a large bulging sac in the distance, and the deford creatures were running towards it!

He clearly saw that as those deford creatures reached the large sac, they leaped onto it and imdiately fused into it, becoming part of the grotesque mass!

"No, the brain hasn’t hidden away!"

By the ti Xu Haishui had noticed the large sac, it was already too late. The silver-armored zombie horde was closing in from both sides in a crescent shape, while around the sac, the deford creatures sward like a tide; each one that got close rged right into it, disappearing instantly. A great number of deford creatures entered the sac, causing it to grow larger and larger. It was possible that the creatures had already started fusing behind the group even before the fire-imbued silver-armored zombies entered the battlefield, but the sac was too small to be seen from Xu’s perspective at that ti.

The sac grew rapidly at a viscerally discernible pace, with more and more deford creatures rging into it. In just a few short minutes, the sac had expanded to over ten ters tall, while the number of remaining deford creatures on-site had halved.

Xu Haishui hurriedly commanded the silver-armored zombie horde toward the large sac. The distant crescent-shaped wave of zombies imdiately retracted, forming a straight line as it charged into the mass of deford creatures. But Xu Haishui’s reaction was too slow; barely had the "blade" of the zombie tide penetrated when the sac at the rear started to undulate.

"What trick are you trying to play?" Xu Haishui frowned, sothing seed to be gestating inside the flesh-colored sac, and the deford creatures’ actions were clearly aid at using whatever was gestating within to combat the silver-armored zombies. Xu was genuinely curious as to what could possibly contend with the silver-armored zombies. Despite so unease, he was still curious about what would erge from the sac.

Just as Xu had anticipated, after swelling to a certain extent, the sac stopped growing. The surrounding deford creatures stopped rging into it. By then, the large flesh sac had grown nearly forty ters in size, its colossal presence even casting a shadow over half of the Chenkun District.

The surface of the sac, resembling a mbrane of flesh, also began to wriggle, as if a hand from within was attempting to break through this fleshy barrier and crawl out.

Thus, after around two minutes, an absurdly thick tentacle burst forth, rupturing the skin of the sac with a "plop," and copious amounts of dark-yellow pus sprayed out—quite a nauseating spectacle!

After this tentacle erged, a massive body also crawled out of it.

This monstrosity had no head; in place of its neck, attached was this tentacle, nearly ten ters in diater, which extended for at least a hundred ters!

Its two hands, webbed like a frog’s feet, were covered in pustules large and small that burst upon touching the ground as it used its arms to prop up its colossal form.

Behind it, the sac still bulged profusely, suggesting that quite a large portion of the creature’s body was still inside.

The body of the creature wasn’t human-shaped but irregular, mountainous in scale. Once its thick, long arms touched the ground, the pustules on them burst on impact, spewing pus in all directions. The stench crawled into one’s nose and straight to the head—it was unimaginably foul, making one wonder if there could be anything more repulsive in the world!

As the creature’s body erged from the flesh sac, more tentacles also drilled out, and its lower body was not made of feet but comprised of a dozen thick tentacles.

"Shit, run!"

At the sight of this behemoth, the people outside the defensive line didn’t hesitate for a mont and fled!

The overwhelming sense of oppression hit them, instantly tensing everyone’s nerves.

People outside the defensive line scattered like a tide, not because they lacked confidence in the corpse hordes but because they had no idea what would happen the next second.

Nobody wanted to die here without reason. Just by looking at the size of the monster, it was clear that each of its strikes would be incredibly destructive.

Finally, the large monster born from the fusion of countless mutated bodies fully erged from its flesh sac.

Whoo... Wah!

The mont it ca out, it let out a cry similar to that of a newborn baby, but much louder than the cry of a human baby, nearly shattering people’s eardrums. And it was extrely sharp, like a knife stabbing into one’s ears without warning!

Suddenly, the tentacles on its neck rose, revealing the snake belly-like skin underneath.

The skin at the base of what served as its head split open with countless gashes, and a row of eyes was thus displayed before everyone.

All those eyes looked down at the silver armored corpses attacking the mutated horde below, with intense malice in them! Flashes of intelligence occasionally sparkled deep within their pupils.

At first, Xu Haishui only noticed that the eyes of this creature ford from the fusion of nurous mutants were different, but he quickly sensed that sothing was amiss.

The eyes, which had only lingered for a while on the group of silver armored corpses below, then all at once turned their attention sharply onto Xu Haishui.

"What!" Xu Haishui felt a jolt in his heart and imdiately realized that this creature was the mastermind!

Upon this realization, Xu Haishui didn’t hesitate; he turned and ran towards the back, while the surrounding silver-armored corpses quickly regrouped to protect him with all their might.

Xu Haishui discovered that this monster was the central intelligence controlling all the mutants, but conversely, the creature realized that Xu Haishui was the intelligent zombie in control of all the silver armored corpses!

Xu Haishui had only taken a few steps outside the defensive line when the next second, the monster swung its head, and its long tentacles ca crashing down towards Xu Haishui.
