Selena’s body writhed against the cold chains as each stab of the dagger sent fresh waves of pain ripping through her nerves.

"Urghhhh.. RRGGAHHHH" Her screams grew hoarse and her voice cracked from the sheer force of her shrieks.

Tears streaked down her bloodied face...

Another stab.

Another *schweech* as the blade carved into her flesh.

Selena’s body buckled as fresh waves of agony tore through her and her remaining eye rollrf back in its socket as a garbled, desperate sob escaped her lips.

"Z-Zhao Tian... P-please..." Her voice, once filled with arrogance, now trembled with sheer terror.

"I... I was wrong... please, s-stop...!!"

Her words fell on deaf ears.

Zhao Tian’s arm moved again, this ti carving a jagged, erratic path down her other thigh.

A fresh torrent of blood burst forth, splattering across the stone floor.

"ARRRGHHHGGRRGGG GGWGGGGFFHHHHH!"

The vampires stood frozen as they watched in silent horror.

None dared move, none dared interfere.

The re thought of incurring Zhao Tian’s wrath, of being next in line for his unrelenting fury, was enough to keep them rooted in place.

Zhao Tian exhaled and his vision blurred for a mont as flashes of Yao Jing’s broken body seared into his mind.

This wasn’t enough.

It wasn’t enough.

His fingers tightened around the dagger once more and he raised it high.

But then—

A sharp, whistling sound.

CLANG!

The mont Zaerina’s twin sai clashed against Zhao Tian’s dagger, a sharp tallic clang echoed through the ruined battlefield.

Sparks burst into the air but his grip remained firm as he imdiately adjusted his stance.

"YOU BASTARD!" Zaerina scread as she twisted her wrists and spun her twin sai in a fluid motion, redirecting the montum of her attack into a second lunge.

Her cloak billowed behind her as she surged forward, aiming to drive one sai toward Zhao Tian’s exposed ribs while the other swept up toward his throat.

She was fast... just not fast enough.

Zhao Tian’s body blurred.

CLANG!

With a flick of his wrist, he sent her first blade flying off-course and his dagger scraped against the polished steel of her sai.

In that split second, he pivoted sharply and his free hand shot up to intercept her second strike.

His fingers clamped around her wrist with a bone-crushing grip.

Zaerina’s eyes widened and she barely had ti to react before Zhao Tian pulled her forward, using her own montum against her.

Her body lurched.

And then—

BOOM!

A devastating knee drove into her gut.

"GUHHHKKK—!"

Zaerina choked as air violently fled her lungs.

Her vision blurred as her legs nearly buckled beneath her, but she gritted her teeth and forced herself to recover.

With sheer determination, she twisted her body mid-stagger, swinging her remaining sai in a ruthless slash toward Zhao Tian’s throat.

CLANG!

Zhao Tian deflected it with ease as his dagger carved a swift arc to et her blade head-on.

The sheer force of the clash sent a shockwave rippling through the air, forcing Zaerina back several paces.

She skidded across the bloodstained ground, barely managing to regain her footing.

Her breath ca in ragged gasps, but her eyes burned with fury.

"You monster…" she seethed, wiping a streak of blood from her lip.

"You won’t leave here alive."

In the next instant, he disappeared...

Zaerina’s instincts scread at her, and she barely had ti to react before—

THOOM!

A sudden impact struck her side as Zhao Tian reappeared beside her, his knee slamd into her ribs with such force that her entire body lifted off the ground.

She coughed violently as blood splattered from her lips.

But Zhao Tian wasn’t done.

Before she could even land, his grip locked around her ankle.

And then he swung her like a ragdoll.

Her body whipped through the air before—

CRASH!

She smashed into the hard stone wall as the impact shattered the surface, sending debris flying in all directions.

A deep crater ford where her body had slamd against it, cracks webbing outward like splintered glass.

Zaerina gasped and her bones scread in protest.

Blood trickled down her forehead, but she gritted her teeth and forced her muscles to move. She had to fight.

But as soon as she tried to push herself up-

A shadow lood over her and Zhao Tian was already there.

He grabbed her throat and hoisted her into the air with one hand.

She kicked and struggled, but his grip was like iron.

Zaerina clenched her fists, her arms trembling as she raised her sai for one last desperate strike.

But before she could even attempt to attack—

BANG!

Zhao Tian’s knee drove into her gut again and her body convulsed violently.

Her vision blacked out for a mont as pain wracked every fiber of her being, and her limbs went limp.

With that, he threw her aside.

Zaerina’s body crashed into the rubble, rolling several feet before coming to a battered stop.

She groaned as her consciousness faded in and out.

Her vision wavered, but she could still see him.

Her trembling fingers curled around the hilt of her fallen sai.

Summoning the last of her strength, she tried to push herself up and tried to lunge at him one last ti.

But she was too slow and Zhao Tian moved first.

A single step forward—

Then THOOM!

His boot slamd down onto her throat and her entire body jerked violently as a sickening, wet crunch echoed through the air.

"GHHH—GKKKKKH—!"

Zaerina’s eyes bulged as an unbearable pressure crushed her windpipe.

Her mouth opened in a silent scream, but no sound ca out... only a broken, desperate wheeze as her breath was stolen away.

Her hands shot up, clawing at his boot in a frantic attempt to pry him off.

But Zhao Tian simply pressed down harder.

A garbled, wet choke tore from her throat as the pressure increased.

Her veins bulged against her skin and her lungs burned for air, but no matter how much she struggled or how much she thrashed beneath him, she couldn’t break free.

She couldn’t breathe.

The vampires in the battlefield stood frozen in sheer horror, watching as the life was slowly crushed out of Zaerina’s body.

None dared to interfere. None dared to step forward.

They could only watch.

Zaerina’s vision darkened and her limbs twitched violently as her survival instincts scread at her to keep fighting, but she knew she was already losing.

The edges of her vision blurred.

Her arms fell limp at her sides.

But still... Zhao Tian pressed down harder.

A sickening CRACK rang out.

Her throat collapsed and her body convulsed one final ti.

Her eyes, once burning with fury... dulled into lifeless glass.

Zhao Tian did not move for a long mont.

He stood there as his boot still pressed against the ruined remains of her throat, staring down at her corpse with cold, unfeeling eyes.
