Arriving at the hotel, Felix stopped by the entrance, leaning against the wall. And then he waited, enjoying the cool, refreshing morning air. He didn’t have Kade’s number - although he had no doubt that the Alpha had already asked (threatened) the Crossroad’s staff to obtain Felix’s - so he couldn’t call Kade to co down, and he didn’t know his room number either.
Not that he needed to make a call. Their mate bond worked just as fine. And only a few minutes later, Kade stepped outside.
"What a great way to start a day!" he grinned. "Did my little mate co to join for breakfast?"
"I ca to re-negotiate," Felix got straight to the point, ignoring all the nonsense.
"Oh." Kade’s smile instantly faltered. "I’m not changing my mind."
"I said RE-negotiate, because I’m changing my terms. OBVIOUSLY." Adjusting the strap of his backpack, Felix walked over to Kade. "Should we move sowhere private?"
"My room?"
"...Will do." Although Felix wasn’t too happy entering Kade’s turf (kind of), and without Remi for support at that... He was getting desperate. And the deal he was offering was much more beneficial for Kade, so it was almost impossible that the Alpha would get angry at Felix.
And above all, Felix just wanted to get it over with finally.
"Take a seat," Kade pointed out at one of the chairs in his hotel room. A room that was likely far below his standards... But filthy rich people like him rarely ca to Silverfall, so it’s not like there was any better accommodation available. "Should we order room service for breakfast?"
"No thanks." Felix fixed his jacket - his old jacket, since the new one was getting a bit snug around his stomach - as he stopped in the middle of the room. "I’m in a rush, so I’ll be quick."
Actually, he wasn’t in a rush. And he was getting a bit hungry, so the hotel breakfast sounded tempting... But, he simply wouldn’t dare sit in front of Kade, afraid it could make his stomach appear even more pronounced!
"Alright, so! My new offer is... I give you four vials of rmaid blood, and in return, you leave Silverfall, taking your guards with you..."
"What!" Once again, Kade shot up from his seat. "How is that any different-"
"Let finish, will you?" Felix clicked his tongue. "You were bound to leave anyway, weren’t you? And I’m not telling you to never see again. It’s just that, I feel uncomfortable being under constant surveillance, so I don’t want anyone following around."
"Still, for your safety..."
"I can handle myself."
Kade still didn’t look convinced.
Well, of course he didn’t. Felix had already expected it, so he let out a sigh, shaking his head. "I know what you’re worried about, but I have no plans of escaping. I like the town, and I want to stay here. And, if it will make you feel any better," he scrunched his face, displeased with the suggestion he was making, "I can agree for you to install a tracking app on my phone. Then you will know my location, and we can talk on the phone once a week so that you can be sure I still have it with ."
It was such a terrible deal for Felix, that he could hardly believe he was offering it himself. But, of course, there was a catch.
"There’s one more thing," he added, before Kade had a chance to fully process it, "You owe one. If my life is ever in danger, you will save then."
That confused Kade even more. "But of course! That much cos without saying!" he exclaid, furrowing his brows. Hadn’t he already made clear that he wanted to protect and take care of Felix? And refused to abandon him?
What he wasn’t aware of, was that the danger Felix was talking about was Kade himself. If, after finding out about the pregnancy, Kade wanted to hurt or kill him... Then Felix could just use this favor the Alpha owed him to save himself.
Kade hesitated for a while longer, but in the end, he hadn’t noticed anything off about the offer - aside from the fact that Felix was making it, giving up on his original condition so soon - thus, he decided to accept it.
"Alright then. Give your phone for a second." He took Felix’s phone, and installed a tracking app, connecting it with his phone. And then, he added his own number, saving it as ’Beloved Mate ♥︎ ♥︎ ♥︎’. Much to Felix’s disgust... But, oh well, contact nas could be easily changed.
"Then, when can I expect the blood?" he asked, handing back the phone.
Only for Felix to unzip his backpack, and take out the box.
Kade would have never expected that the Oga actually brought the rmaid blood to the negotiations... Where Kade could have snatched it so easily!
Not that he was going to. He was more or less fine with their current agreent, so it wouldn’t benefit him in any way to steal from Felix, and make their relationship even rockier than it already was (and possibly irrecoverably so!).
"The vials are enchanted," Felix explained, showing the box’s content. "Thanks to the spell placed on them, the blood inside will remain fresh for years."
"You really got it from the witch, huh?"
"I’ve told you so!"
Technically speaking, this ti Felix did get it from the witch’s house (even if only after hiding it there himself), so it wasn’t a lie, not entirely!
Not that Kade had any way to confirm it anyway! He had t neither the witch nor the rmaid. In Silverfall, it was Felix who was well connected, kind of!
With this, their second attempt at negotiations ended up with success. Felix handed Kade the box, and excusing himself with his busy schedule, refused the breakfast invitation once again, leaving the hotel imdiately. He had a box of clay and an old pottery wheel waiting for him at ho, so that he could embark on a new crafting journey!
As for Kade... Now that he had obtained the redy, he left Silverfall the very sa day. Not that he wanted to... But the sick person was waiting for his return. He had no choice but to put his own desires aside.
