Conversing with new acquaintances... was difficult. Especially for Felix, who wasn’t a social butterfly to begin with, and lacked experience. Not to ntion, he was also not the most trusting... Even though he felt that the three Ogas approached him with neutral, if not positive, attitude, he still couldn’t help but be a bit doubtful. They were most likely assessing him now. If their conversation didn’t go well, there was a chance they might decide not to ally with him...

He was simply far more used to negative attention from others, especially Ogas, which is why trying to form alliances, he felt so out of his elent.

And the Ogas either noticed it, or perhaps just achieved what they had set out to do with Felix that evening, because after a short conversation, once the topic of the studies had run out, they excused themselves, returning to their seats.

They hadn’t even asked Felix about his studies, or his desire to study. Although that might have been out of caution - after all, with Felix’s mysterious background, it could be a touchy subject. Was he even qualified to pursue higher education?

Felix let out a sigh, and took a sip of his champagne. Third glass now.

The answer was, probably not. All the education he had received was hoschooling in the Moonhill Pack. How high-level it was, he didn’t know, but probably not too high. It was rare for their pack mbers to pursue any degrees, as there was no need for that...

"Interested in a college degree?"

"...Huh?" Felix lifted his eyes to see Cael. The Oga had been sitting nearby all this ti, but just like Kade, he had been approached by many people as soon as the official speeches and toasts had ended. It was only now that he was free enough to approach Felix...

Although to say that he was ’free’ perhaps wasn’t the most correct. There were still a few pack mbers left by his seat, with disappointed expressions on their faces. It seed that they had been ditched by Cael, who had decided to chat with Felix instead.

Oh, well. It’s not like it was their only opportunity to talk to Cael. They were all from the sa pack, they could see each other all the ti... As far as Felix knew, Cael spent most of his ti in the pack house, not traveling around like Kade. So, there was no need for him to feel bad for stealing Cael’s attention from them...

It wasn’t even his fault in the first place, not really. Cael himself ca to talk to him. Probably for Kade’s sake.

"I’ve heard you asking Theo and Thalia about their studies," Cael said, taking a seat right next to Felix. "Are you perhaps interested in getting a degree?"

"Oh, no, not at all," Felix waved his hand. "I was just a bit curious, that’s all."

"Are you sure? We could arrange it for you, if you want..."

"No, it’s fine, really," Felix shook his head.

Had the thought ever crossed his mind? He’d be lying if he said ’no.’ Not having a diploma while living in a werewolf pack was one thing, but if he wanted to blend into human society, having higher education would certainly be useful. It might help him get better-paying jobs.

But would that really be so simple? His understanding of human society was still only surface level, as he hadn’t experienced it much himself. Even if he had a degree, there was no guarantee it would actually help him. And what subjects would he even study? He had no idea. Besides,

"Vivi is still so little, I don’t have ti to attend college."

"Ah, if that’s what you’re worried about, then rest assured. We can help you take care of Vivi, there are plenty of experienced Ogas in the pack that you can trust," Cael smiled.

"Still..." Felix was unconvinced. It’s not that he doubted the abilities of the Ogas from the Bloodmoon Pack. There surely was no shortage of middle-aged Ogas who had experience in raising pups. Surely more than Felix, who was a first-ti parent with no prior experience. And if Felix were to ask Lorelei to assign soone as Vivi’s nanny, then the pack mbers she would pick would be trustworthy...

But that wasn’t the problem, at least not for the most part. Felix simply... wanted to be the one to take care of Vivi as much as he could, even if he was far clumsier at it than those older Ogas who had raised a lot of pups before. It would be one thing if he had to leave her in soone else’s care to provide for her, or if he had any ambitions... But to miss on the precious ti with his daughter just to pursue a degree he wasn’t even interested in? It might be alright for so, but for Felix, it simply didn’t feel worthwhile.

Seeing Felix’s lack of interest, Cael didn’t press. He just added, "There’s no need for you to decide right now. Just think about it carefully. College is not that hard, and you can always study part-ti!"

Felix lifted his brows, giving Cael a doubtful glance. "Have you gone to college?"

"Yes, I have completed my Business Managent degree alongside Kade. It was quite easy, so if you don’t know what to choose, you can do this as well! We can help you study then!"

...Well, perhaps for soone like Cael, it truly wasn’t difficult. As a Young Master from a supre pack, he surely received a high-quality education from early childhood. He was likely well-prepared for college. With solid foundations, it was easier to gain new knowledge. But for Felix, whose previous education was likely lacking...

"I’ll think about it," he just said to end the topic. But he doubted that he would actually go for it... He would probably have to bury himself in books just to get accepted. Not to ntion, as far as he was aware, students had to pay tuition to attend college...

And while Felix currently had a lot of money, thanks to... Remi... Possibly enough to fund his own education, he didn’t want to spend it on an uncertain investnt. What if he had attended college, but failed his classes? It would then be a waste of ti and money, which could have been better spent...
