Shugo Slyvantil.
You won't even know how and when you will die if you offend him.
A cruel light flickered through Shugo's eyes when recalling the cruel training.
At present, he was immune to all poisons known to man.
That being said, one shouldn't judge his chubby body, thinking he couldn't fight.
Shugo had to admit that he was quite a ruthless fighter, who never caught to lose.
"Dead?" Levon carelessly inquired.
"Not really, just severely weak. Most of the toxins will wear off in a day after they sweat it out."
"Lucky them."
Leaving the group behind, the duo continued for another few hours, eting all sorts of people along the way.
So went the opposite direction from them, others chose paths that would lead them right back to the starting point, and many had passed out on the sides, feeling weak and desolate.
"It's a test of stamina, resilience, and observation." Levon pointed out.
These passed out people looked bony and bleak, as though they had been starved for months.
It was normal to take a few breaks or walk for a bit before jogging.
"Understanding pacing is also tested."
"Hmm... dieval knights bought battles for hours and hours, running here and running there. So even fought for days while fleeing nonstop, for fear of getting caught. Although there's no clock, I'm positive we've been here for at least 9 hours."
"Yeah. Only 9 hours and they're already so wiped out, it can only an they failed to pace themselves."
Levon and Shugo noted these facts while jogging through space.
Their clothes were all damp, and their hair wet and sticky too.
However, they looked vibrant compared to the rest; and soon, they reached an incredible opening with bright light that blinded their vision.
"Buddy, we're here." Shugo's voice raised an octave, his excitent evident.
Levon chuckled, knowing they had co to the end of the road—or should he say, the center of the Maze.
"So many?"
Levon's eyes throbbed when looking at the hundreds and hundreds of people gathered in one giant crystal-like do.
On closer inspection, he spotted 4 main Entrances with large Digital clocks above them.
—[9:57:41]—
'So it's been 9 hours, 57 minutes, and 41 seconds since the exam began?'
For Levon and Shugo, they had been running for that long.
However, so people arrived barely 2 hours after the exam began.
So arrived 5 hours ago, others 3 hours ago.
So have been here for so long, getting 6 hours of sleep and rest while Levon and Shugo were jogging out there.
Levon blinked excessively.
He counted no more than 10,000 people here.
There were quite a lot.
Levon and Shugo began observing the new environnt they found themselves in.
But in a blink of an eye, 2 minutes and 19 seconds went by.
Now, the ti read: [10:00:00]
Brrrrrrrm~
Everyone looked at the doors that were now closing—It seems they were only given 10 hours to make it here.
"Wait! Wait! We're here!"
"Soone... anyone... stop that door!"
Those on the other side of the door, desperately screaming and picked up the pace to make it through.
Yet no one in the room stood to help.
Many lowered their heads in guilt, so gloated, while others like Levon and Shugo, felt no disturbance in their hearts.
.
.
How brutal.
In these last monts when the doors were closing, those inside got a good show of how cruel humanity could be when desperate.
Even a puny ant can turn into an elephant in tis such as these.
Many cruelly slamd others into the walls and floors, rushing over with everything they had.
Screams and wails bellowed from the hallway, as the madness continued.
In the final mont, so rolled and dived in barely making it in, milliseconds before the heavy doors ca shutting down.
AHHHH!
"One person had his leg crushed, and had pulled it away thanks to the help of others.
It hurt... he was sweating, and blood was spewing everywhere.
However, there was a foolish grin on his snot-nosed face.
Success!
He made it.
Resting on the floor, those who barely made it, laid panting and sweating like dogs in heat.
Their bodies quaked, their thoughts were in disarray, and their emotions now filling their minds when they thought of what they had just done.
"Dead..."
So murmured in a daze when thinking of the pool of blood they briefly spotted after smashing several people into the walls and floor.
Did .. did they just kill them?
The color from their faces drained.
"Are... are we now murderers?"
"No, no, no. This can't be! We are good people at heart and not murderers!"
Transfixed in a state of blind horror, they looked at their trembling hands and felt cold.
What have they done?
Those closer to the doors who watched in guilt, quickly went over to console the terrified group.
The Minority in the room felt Nothing, but the majority of people in the room felt guilt, while the other half of the majority, felt disgust.
What a bunch of trash!
Do you think you're the only one who has done sothing terrible here?
It's been 10 hours since they left their forr sleeping quarters. And during this ti, do you expect to remain as innocent as before?
Along the way, so threatened, bullied and used force to get themselves through the journey.
When tired and hungry, humans are prone to fight at any given turn.
Even the girls who earlier acted high and mighty now began enticing the boys with promises of kisses and other pleasures for protection.
Day 1 wasn't even other yet and they had already seen the true horrors of this place.
They have bypassed several badly beaten bodies that they weren't certain were alive or not.
The fact that those above didn't co out to save these people or stop the attacks ant they were truly on their own here.
So how do you expect them to maintain their earlier innocence?
Like surviving in an apocalyptic world, you never know what you're gonna get in here.
