(DLRB Headquarters)

High Adjudicator Thistlewick was a dwarf whose dignity was as solid as a mountain. His long, grey beard was braided with shiny rings, and his glare was known to make dragons apologize. Right now, that glare was aid at a piece of paper, and it wasn’t working.

The grand chamber was silent. The other mbers of the Dungeon League Board—a sharp-eyed elf, a wise old human mage, and a goblin in a fine suit—watched him.

"Let read this again," Thistlewick rumbled, his deep voice bouncing off the walls. He read from the report filed by Inspector Barnaby. "’The dungeon’s main hazard is a patch of moss that uses nice slls to make people sleepy.’"

The goblin board mber snickered. A glare from Thistlewick silenced him.

"The dungeon’s main monster is a ’Plush Knight’ whose primary attack is listed as ’hugs,’" Thistlewick continued, his voice tight.

"And he’s trending on the ScryNet!" the goblin added. "They’re calling it the ’Nap Dungeon’!"

High Adjudicator Thistlewick put the report down and pinched his nose. "Barnaby has recomnded this... place... for ’Sanctuary Class’ status. It is, without a doubt, the weakest and strangest dungeon on the continent. However," he sighed, "its ’Adventurer Happiness’ score is the highest ever recorded. We are bound by our own rules."

He picked up a heavy, obsidian stamp. With a look of deep regret, he brought it down on the form. THUD.

"Let the record show," he grumbled, "The Dungeon 42, ’The Comfy Corner,’ is now a Provisional Sanctuary. May the gods have rcy on our reputation."

(The Comfy Corner)

A bright, golden light filled my mind, followed by a series of official-looking pop-ups.

[Congratulations! Your dungeon, ’The Comfy Corner,’ has been given ’Provisional Sanctuary Status’ by the DLRB!]

[Your unique service to the adventurer community has been officially recognized!]

[NEW SYSTEM UNLOCKED: THE REPUTATION SYSTEM!]

"A new system?" FaeLina asked, zipping over to with excitent.

I looked at the new nu. It showed a list of groups and my relationship with them.

[Faction Reputations:]

[- The Iron Gryphons (Guild): Trusted Ally]

[- General Adventurers: Well-Liked]

[- DLRB (Ministry): Strange But Interesting]

[- Forces of Chaos (Enemies): Annoying Pest]

"Reputation!" FaeLina cheered. "This is great! Good reputation ans more visitors and better business deals!"

She was happy, but I was thinking about sothing else. I thought about Zazu the elf and his happy face. I thought about the tired inspector, Barnaby. And I thought about my own past life, where I worked until I died.

It’s not just about naps anymore, is it? I thought. A new feeling settled in my core. This world is tired, just like I was. The adventurers, the officials... they all need a place where they can truly rest. Maybe that’s the real point of this dungeon.

My goal wasn’t just to build a quiet place for myself. It was to build a sanctuary for everyone else.

As if the system could hear my thoughts, a new notification appeared.

[Reputation with ’The Iron Gryphons’ has reached ’Trusted Ally’!]

[FACTION REWARD UNLOCKED: Guild Bulletin Board!]

[Description: A magic board you can place in your dungeon. The Iron Gryphons can post non-combat quests and ssages directly to you.]

A handso wooden board with a gryphon carved on top appeared in my dungeon’s inventory. It was a direct link to the outside world—a way for people to ask for help.

"Quests!" FaeLina squealed, her mind imdiately seeing the business opportunity. "Mochi, quests an more custors and more money!"

She was right, of course.

But as I imagined putting the board up next to the Tea Nook, I wasn’t thinking about the profits.

I was thinking it was a good way to find out who needed a helping hand. And for the first ti, that felt even more important than getting a good nap.
