While I was receiving birthday presents in order, I also took a look at the second tournant, and compared to the first one, the matches seed to be progressing a bit more slowly. By that, I an there were more heated battles.
It was probably because there were participants who had trained during the practice period or had gotten the hang of things from the first tournant, leading to closer and longer matches.
Among them, there were also a few people who caught my attention for their skill, separate from the first tournant. First of all, Isis-san…… she's simply good. She wasn't fighting in a flashy way, but her style was very steady. Using a character that specializes in long-range attacks, she kept her distance and fought steadily.
Since this ga uses wireless controllers, Isis-san was able to keep a safe distance from others without the influence of her magic power of death and enjoy playing with people she normally wouldn't be able to interact with, so she seed to be having a really good ti.
And then, there's Blossom-san, who was also quite skilled. I wouldn't say she was at the level of Lilia-san or Eul, but she had improved a lot in a short ti, and her control was good enough to call her a fully-fledged player.
However, from ti to ti, she would exclaim things like "T- This is the legendary Iai!? A- Amazing!!!" or "A true samurai cloaks their blade in lightning!? I- I see, that's very educational……". Using a samurai-like character, she was getting pretty excited, making a big deal out of it, and leaving herself open here and there.
Well, the character she was using is indeed a samurai-type character but…… the thing about cloaking the blade in lightning is just because it's a ga character, real samurai obviously didn’t do things like that…… but well, I suppose for Blossom-san, this is a rare opportunity to witness an authentic samurai, I guess.
What surprised though, was that giddo-san, who seed like the type to get really into these kinds of tournants, wasn't participating and instead was staying in the practice area the whole ti. Moreover, she wasn't just quietly practicing by herself, she was watching all kinds of players and nodding with deep interest.
[What is giddo-san doing?]
[She was muttering "I see, this is well made. Even people with differences in physical ability or magic power can compete on almost equal footing…… Interesting. But could it be replicated? No, if I only replicate the pseudo-combat aspects, perhaps…… But would that make it too large-scale?".]
[A- Ah, I see. She does seem like she'd enjoy competitive gas like this, and she's thinking about whether she could recreate it with magic tools.]
[It appears so. giddo has been very interested in otherworld competitions lately, like how she recently held a tournant for otherworld's singing contest.]
……That UTA battle from Harmonic Symphony huh…… Sounds like she really went and built a dedicated facility for it. Well, that’s just like giddo-san, I guess. Rather than leaving it as just a bit of fun for the mont, she’s thinking about how to carry it forward into sothing bigger, which is honestly pretty impressive.
I don’t know exactly what she’s planning to make, but from what I could gather from what Ein-san told about her muttering, it seems like she's thinking about sothing where people with different levels of physical strength could still fight on equal footing……

Skipping over the process for now, it seems that giddo-san is thinking along the lines of jumping straight to a physical relationship. However, thanks to repeated scoldings from Kuro and Alice, she appears to be trying to co up with a strategy in her own way.
I really hope it's not so straightforward plan like engaging in an intense battle, getting both parties fired up, and then using the post-fight heat of the mont to make a move…… If it is, giddo-san is likely to get another scolding…… Well, in any case, since she's seriously mulling things over, it looks like she isn't participating in the tournant.
Trying to avoid thinking too much about reality, I decided to spin the raffle.
Ah, next is Eris-san huh…… Seems like it’ll be a bit of a breather.
