It was a very good day, with a clear, cloudless blue sky above us. I am currently in the Northern Demon Realm. This place, which isn’t far from the Land of Death, isn’t a sightseeing spot, as it’s inhabited by many monsters, and there are no other races living nearby.
Even in the Demon Realm, this place is recognized as a dangerous zone. The reason why I am in such a place…… to put it simply, we’re in sothing like a picnic.

Isis-san’s hobby is collecting items from her favorite book as morabilia. In a recently released book, this place appeared in a story that both Isis-san and I rated highly, and there was a scene in which a character picks up an amber, so we ca to collect it together.
Since it was apparently found in a place with not so many trees as a forest, we weren’t sure if we could really find amber in this place, and if not, we planned to look for another item, but we were able to find it safely.
Although the place was inhabited by many monsters, thanks to Isis-san’s magic power of death, we didn’t see any monsters at all, and we decided to have lunch in a slightly open area.
The lunch box that Isis-san made looks very delicious, and I’m happy to see that it has all my favorite side dishes.
[……Unnn. It’s so delicious! How should I say this…… It kinda feels like Isis-san’s cooking skills are getting better than before.]

It’s just my hunch, but I kinda feel like there has been a book boom recently, with a variety of new books being released. One of the reasons for this is the new Magic Tool announced by the Seditch Magic Tool Trading Company a short while ago, which is sothing like a cara in our world.
It seems that they haven’t completed the video-recording Magic Tool, yet, but it’s probably quite significant that the cara has been completed, which allows them to take pictures.
Because it’s a new technology, that Magic Tool is quite expensive at the mont, but it has attracted a lot of attention because it’s groundbreaking new technology.

As a book lover, Isis-san seed to welco the increase of books in various genres, and our conversation over the al was quite lively.
Just like that, we continued to enjoy our conversation and al, and after finishing our bento, we spent a leisurely ti relaxing after the al.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a sightseeing spot and the scenery wasn’t great, but the weather was very nice, and I felt that the ordinary scenery also had its own flavor.
Holding hands with Isis-san, we sat on a sheet under a large tree and leaned against each other, enjoying the peaceful ti.
It was such a happy ti that I could have fallen asleep if I wasn’t careful…… but I suddenly felt sothing strange.

Isis-san was about to tilt her head at my reaction, but she soon beca aware of the sa thing I felt and her expression changed to a serious one.

As Isis-san said, it sohow feels strange. While feeling such a strange magic power that sohow made uneasy, I moved to the source of that magic power with Isis-san……
And there…… lays a small fox with white fur. Its body was eerily luminous, with that light getting stronger and weaker, as if it were blinking.
The fox was breathing roughly as it lay there, and although no external injuries could be seen, its current state looked unusual.
[I- Isis-san, this is……]
[……It looks like the magic power in its body…… has beco very unstable…… It seed like it was trying to forcibly suppress it…… but the magic power inside its body is too big…… that it can’t control it…… It looks like…… it might explode at any mont.]
[Explode!? No way…… Can’t we sohow…… do sothing for it?]
Although I didn’t clearly understand the situation, I understood that it was a very bad situation through the suffering being conveyed from the fox through my Sympathy Magic and Isis-san’s voice.
The fox was small, seemingly a child…… The sight of it suffering made my heart ache, and when I reflexively asked that question, a complicated expression appeared on Isis-san’s face.
[……There’s a way to do it…… but it’s difficult…… It’s not like it’s hurt or anything, so Recovery Magic won’t work…… so the only way to help it…… is to rearrange the magic structure of its body.]

[……No…… That in itself is no problem…… it’s just…… my magic power of death destroys other magic power…… and that’s why…… I’m not very good…… at nding with magic power.]
Hearing those words reminded of a story I once heard about…… Isis-san, who was good at destroying isn’t good at fixing things, as just like that ti she had failed many tis when repairing the broken rocky mountain, ending up causing more destruction instead.
She may have no problem with using magic that enhances the regenerative ability of a person, such as Recovery Magic, but she isn’t good at using magic power to directly heal soone.
For a mont, I thought that I could just ask Alice to do it for us…… but then I saw the look on Isis-san’s face and swallowed the words that had almost co out of my mouth.
Even as she says it would be difficult, the expression on Isis-san’s face didn’t look like she was giving up, and instead, it seed like she was looking for a way to save the fox……

I don’t have the option of shaking my head, nor do I need to ask her how we would do that. If Isis-san is asking for my help, I won’t hesitate in cooperating with her.
