Adam’s eyes strayed to the spacious corridor that his companions had led him to. Deeper into the club’s interior was a dark mouth.

An open passageway. A weakness. A chilly comprehension took root in his abdon. That was an additional point of entry. JokerX was not just a small-ti gangster.

It was a nest, this club. A stronghold. How many more were there? Ten? Twenty? His calculations were impossible because the number was an unknown variable.

The number of people waiting in the wings was unknown to him. Once more, he had entered a situation without fully comprehending its implications. He was in danger of regaining the frustration he had just slapped out of himself.

He was still processing this tactical failure when the main gate he had entered through burst open.

Three n spilled into the room. They held handguns leveled and ready. Their eyes scanned the room filled with their dead comrades their faces hardening with grim purpose.

Behind them more figures crowded the doorway their shapes dark silhouettes against the faint light from outside. The club was being flooded.

Then he heard it from the other side of the large hall. The grinding sound of another heavy door sliding open. The sounds of heavy boots on the floor echoed from that direction.

These new arrivals were not ard with small handguns. He caught the glint of long barrels the distinct shape of automatic rifles. The stakes had just escalated dramatically.

A voice roared from behind the DJ counter. It was JokerX. He was still hiding but his voice was filled with a newfound confidence a venomous fury. "I’ll admit it! It was my mistake! I thought you were just a kid!" he scread his voice echoing in the suddenly tense space. "But that mistake dies with you! I’m not letting you leave this place alive!"

Adam saw it all. The n at the main gate. The approaching shadows with rifles. The cornered rat screaming threats from his hole. There was no escape. The path forward was blocked. The path backward was blocked. He was completely surrounded. There was no winning this fight. There was no clever plan that would get him out of this. He was going to die here.

He let out a single slow breath. It was not a sigh of despair. It was an acceptance of fact. The loop would reset. But this life this current attempt still had value. It could be used to gather information to inflict damage. If he had to die then he would die on his own terms.

"If I have to die," he murmured to the cold concrete pillar his voice a low whisper that was lost in the tension. "I’ll die like a warrior."

The words were a vow to himself. He would not be executed like a prisoner. He would not be cut down while running. He would et the end head-on.

He made his decision. His left hand reached out and a long kitchen knife materialized from his inventory. It was the one he had taken from Sophia’s house a simple tool for a simple purpose. Its handle felt solid and familiar in his grasp. In his other hand he held the silenced pistol. A knife in one hand a gun in the other. He was ready.

He did not hesitate.

He exploded from behind the pillar. His movent was a sudden violent blur. He did not run towards the riflen. He did not run towards JokerX. He ran straight for the main gate the point of least resistance where the n held only handguns like his own.

His feet pounded against the floor his enhanced agility propelling him forward with incredible speed. The n at the gate saw him coming. They saw the blur of motion the glint of steel. But their minds could not process the velocity of his attack.

His silenced pistol coughed.

Phht.

Phht.

In the spacious room, the sound was faint, almost unnoticeable. However, the outcos were definitive. A tiny dark hole appeared on the chest of the first man at the gate, and he jerked it back.

Before he collapsed to the ground, his eyes widened in shock. A bullet struck the second man standing next to him in the throat just as he was about to raise his own weapon. Before collapsing, he let his gun fall and made a wet gurgling sound as he clawed at his neck.

Two down.

The n behind them stared in disbelief. The sight of their comrades falling so quickly without a loud gunshot to warn them created a mont of pure panic.

They had co here expecting to join a hunt not to be the ones hunted. They broke. They turned and scrambled back towards the open main gate their only thought to escape the silent death that was rushing towards them.

JokerX risked a look over the top of the DJ counter. His eyes widened as he saw Adam’s relentless charge. He saw his n at the main gate dying and fleeing. He saw his entire operation falling apart at the hands of one boy.

"After him!" he shrieked pointing a shaking finger at Adam’s back. "The rest of you! Get him now! Don’t let him get out!"

He was screaming at the n with the rifles the ones who were still advancing from the other side of the hall.

Adam ignored the scream. He was a predator focused only on his prey. His speed was terrifying. In the few seconds it took for JokerX to shout his order Adam had already closed the distance. He was at the threshold of the main gate a whirlwind of violence among the retreating thugs. He was too close for them to aim properly too fast for them to react.

But the n with the rifles heard their boss. They saw the target. They saw the back of a boy in a school uniform. They did not see their own n who were crowded in the sa small space. They raised their weapons. Panic and adrenaline fueled their actions. There was no discipline no fire control. There was only the raw command to kill.

"Die you bastard!" one of them yelled.

They opened fire.

At last, a deafening storm of noise ripped through the club as automatic weapons roared. The room was ripped apart by a barrage of bullets. The air was torn apart by the slugs. They tore into the walls. The elaborate decorations were broken by them.

Additionally, they struck the thugs’ backs as they attempted to escape from Adam.

From the main gate ca cries of fear and misery. The untad, uncontrolled fire of their own allies was now tearing apart the n who had fled from Adam’s silenced pistol.

There were holes stitched into a man’s body. The force of the impact flung another forward, landing at Adam’s feet. The frantic flight had devolved into carnage. A massacre brought on by friendly fire.
