"If you’re Sophia’s boyfriend then I guess that makes you our friend too," Anderson said with a smug arrogant smirk. He looked at his friends. "Let’s party."

He reached over and grabbed the glass of juice from Adam’s tray. He was about to pour it over his head a petty act of humiliation designed to assert his dominance.

But Adam’s hand shot out with a blurring speed. He caught Anderson’s wrist his grip like a steel trap.

Anderson and his friends were stunned. They could not believe how fast he was. One mont he was just sitting there a passive victim.

The next he was a coiled spring a predator ready to strike. Sophia’s eyes widened in fear not for herself but for what was about to happen.

Adam stood up his leg shooting out from under the table with incredible force. He kicked Anderson squarely in the chest. The impact sent him flying backwards over another table his body a flailing ss.

He crashed down in a pile on the far side of the cafeteria, his tray of food spilling everywhere.

Anderson’s two male friends rushed at Adam their faces a mixture of anger and disbelief. But he was too quick for them. He slapped them both across the face with two quick successive blows.

The sound of the slaps echoed in the suddenly silent cafeteria. They stumbled to the floor their faces red with a mixture of pain and humiliation.

He then turned his attention to Lily and her two friends. They were still sitting at the table their mouths agape with shock. He jumped onto a table and started slapping them repeatedly his hands a blur of motion.

It was not a fight. It was a punishnt. A brutal rciless punishnt for all the pain and suffering they had inflicted on Sophia. They stumbled backwards their chairs tipping over their faces a symphony of pain.

They had never been on the receiving end of such violence. They had always been the predators. Now they were the prey.

Anderson scrambled to his feet his face a mask of pure incredulous rage. "How dare you!" he scread his voice echoing through the now silent cafeteria. "You hit !"

But before he could finish his sentence before he could even process the full extent of his humiliation Adam leaped over the table.

He flew through the air a human projectile aid directly at Anderson’s chest. Anderson’s eyes widened in terror. The boy he had intended to tornt was now an angel of death descending upon him.

Adam’s feet slamd into his chest.

The impact sent him crashing to the floor the air knocked out of his lungs in a single painful whoosh. He felt a sharp crack as one of his ribs broke under the force of the blow.

Adam landed on top of him his knee pressing down on his chest pinning him to the ground. He leaned in close his face just inches from Anderson’s his eyes burning with a cold fury.

"Did you forget what happened to you on the hill?" Adam whispered his voice a low dangerous growl a chilling reminder of their last encounter.

Anderson’s eyes widened in recognition. The mory of the pain it all ca flooding back. "It was you," he gasped his voice a pathetic whimper. "You were the one."

Adam raised his fist and brought it down on Anderson’s face with a sickening crunch. Anderson’s nose broke sending a spray of blood across the tiled floor. He continued his relentless assault his fists a blur of motion as he pumled Anderson’s face again and again.

Anderson’s friends who had finally recovered from their initial shock grabbed a heavy wooden chair from a nearby table. They swung it at Adam their faces a mixture of fear and a desperate loyalty to their fallen leader.

But he was too fast. He rolled out of the way with a fluid grace that defied belief. The chair crashed down on Anderson’s chest with a sickening thud sending him into another spasm of agonizing pain.

He scread a high-pitched shriek of pure agony as the weight of his own friends’ misguided attack crushed him.

Adam ran at the two boys. He grabbed one of them by the collar of his shirt. He slamd the boy’s head into the other boy’s face. They both fell to the floor. Their heads were bleeding.

Lily scread from the other side of the room. "You’re finished!" she yelled. Her voice was loud and full of anger. "We’ll never let you get away with this!"

Adam turned and looked at her. His eyes were cold and full of rage. "I should have killed all of you on the hill," he said. His voice was a quiet and dangerous whisper.

Lily’s eyes got wide. She finally understood. "It was you," she said. Her voice was a soft gasp. "I knew I had seen you sowhere before."

Adam jumped over a table. He rolled over a chair. He landed right in front of her. "You’ve tornted Sophia for the last ti," he said. "Now it’s your turn."

But before he could do anything a group of teachers ran into the cafeteria. They grabbed his arms. Another teacher grabbed his body. They were trying to hold him back.

Lily smiled a happy smile. "You ssed with the wrong people," she said. "You have no idea who we are. You have no idea who supports us."

Her words only made Adam more angry. He kicked out with his leg. It was the only part of his body that was free. He kicked her hard in the stomach. She bent over in pain. A little bit of blood ca out of her mouth.

Sophia watched everything from the side. Her face showed no emotion. She had seen so much violence and death. This was nothing to her. She knew that Adam would find a way to get out of this ss. "I’ll be waiting for you in class," she said to him. Then she turned and walked away.
