Han Jingnian finally went to see Song Youman.
Standing at the entrance of the maternity center, he hesitated for a mont before stepping inside. Then, by the staff of the maternity center, he was led upstairs to Song Youman’s room.
Song Youman was nursing her baby when she heard it was Han Jingnian who had co. She didn’t even let him into the room, instead asking him to wait in the hallway.
After Song Youman finished nursing, she played with the baby for about ten minutes. Once the baby was soundly asleep, she allowed the nanny to take the baby away and then permitted the staff to let Han Jingnian in.
As soon as Han Jingnian stepped in, before he could even greet her with "Miss Song," Song Youman comnted sarcastically, "Oh? Mr. Han, what brings you to visit in the dead of the night?"
Han Jingnian, "...Miss Song, I hope I’m not disturbing you."
"You already have disturbed !" Song Youman replied bluntly.
Han Jingnian, "...Miss Song, I ca to talk to you."
"I’m sorry, but I don’t think we have anything to talk about!"
Han Jingnian, "..."
In the past, whenever Song Youman t with Han Jingnian in front of Xia Wan’an, they would pretend to get along. As soon as Xia Wan’an turned her back, they would look at each other with disdain. Now, as Song Youman faced an unending lack of courtesy from Han Jingnian but without any signs of displeasure from him, she couldn’t help but feel surprised, then asked, "What... do you want to talk about?"
Han Jingnian, "About her."
Song Youman couldn’t help the surge of anger on behalf of Xia Wan’an, "Her? Who? Xia Wan’an? Ha, what’s there to talk about? She’s been gone so long, and you only co to now..."
Han Jingnian, "...It was my fault."
These sudden four words from Han Jingnian deflated Song Youman like a punctured balloon, leaving her unable to express any more anger. She pointed at the sofa, signaling Han Jingnian to sit, then asked him, "Do you want sothing to drink? Is water okay?"
Before Han Jingnian could respond, she handed him a bottle of mineral water, and then asked, "Tell , what do you want to know?"
Han Jingnian, "Everything."
So greedy, huh...
Song Youman mockingly thought to herself, then finally spoke, "Can I ask you a question first?"
Han Jingnian nodded.
"When did you first find out about Xia Wan’an?"
Han Jingnian pursed his lips, "When my grandmother was arranging my marriage."
"So, it was the year you entered into a joint marriage, and also the year An’an graduated from college..." Song Youman continued, "Do you know when An’an found out about your existence in this world?"
Han Jingnian shook his head, saying nothing.
"It was the year you turned eighteen, and An’an was fifteen... at the Han Family’s old residence in the yard. She went to find Han Zhijin, mistook a car parked in the courtyard for Han Zhijin’s, ran over to open the car door, and because she couldn’t open it, she started complaining, saying, ’Han Zhijin, open the door. If you keep this up, I’m going to get angry. I’m telling you, if I really get angry, even if you call dad this ti, I won’t forgive you...’ Then you rolled down the car window, and Han Zhijin appeared right after. An’an’s mistake turned into a big joke, very embarrassing. Han Zhijin stepped forward to explain for her, while after listening to Han Zhijin’s introduction to An’an, you lightly said to Han Zhijin, ’I thought he was your new dad...’"
