"Mr. Han, I was wrong, I really was, I will work overti for a month... no, for two months... or even half a year..."

Han Jingnian finally spoke, "Alright."

Zhang Te felt foolish, "..." Did he really suggest that? Why did he offer to work for half a year instead of just one or two months?

To ease his complex emotions, Zhang Te prepared to flee with his mobile phone, "Mr. Han, if there is nothing else, I will return to work..."

As Zhang Te was about to leave, Han Jingnian appeared to rember sothing. He tapped lightly on his desk, "Hold on."

Zhang Te paused. Cautious, he asked, "Mr. Han, is there sothing else you need?"

Han Jingnian glanced at the mobile phone in Zhang Te’s hand and slightly nodded, "Ten minutes."

Ten minutes? What ten minutes?

Zhang Te was montarily confused and blinked in bewildernt.

Seeing his uncertainty, Han Jingnian’s expression grew colder.

Fearful, Zhang Te looked down at his hand holding the phone and suddenly understood, " I see, Mr. Han. I guarantee the phone will be delivered in ten minutes!"

Han Jingnian, satisfied with Zhang Te’s response, gave a small nod to signal he could leave.

Inwardly, Zhang Te was crying a river while trying to look gratefully as he rolled out the office.

Once the office door closed, Han Jingnian’s eyes slowly landed on his own phone. He stared at the screen for a mont before opening WeChat.

She still hasn’t accepted his friend request...

Unexpectedly, he felt a little disheartened.

His phone, untouched for a long ti, locked itself. His reflection shone back at him from its black screen. His gaze remained transfixed on the phone for quite so ti, before he gently blinked and shifted towards his computer.

Seven minutes had passed since Zhang Te left the office... He was lost in thought for seven minutes because of her... In their two years of marriage, he hadn’t given her much thought, but why did his recent emotions get so affected by her?

Two years ago, his grandmother chose several marriage propositions for him. She was the best among them all, his grandmother’s favorite at least. If he rembered correctly, under the pretense of work, his grandmother and her parents arranged a eting between the two. That day, she tried to make a conversation with him. He didn’t rember what they discussed, nor if he responded, but he rembered leaving early to attend to other matters. Later on, she visited his company and told him that she could marry him for the sake of making her father happy...

Without much consideration, he rejected her. Reason? He simply didn’t like her, nor was he interested in marriage. However, a docunt given by lawyer Chen in the afternoon made him rethink...

The docunt...

Thinking of this, Han Jingnian glanced towards the drawer where that docunt was kept.

As he was about to open the drawer, the office door was knocked, Zhang Te’s whimpering voice echoed, "Mr. Han..."
