Does "don’t go to bed early" imply that she’s to wait for him to dote on her when he gets ho?
It was him who had co looking for her to exploit, and now he’s wearing a reluctant-to-agree, aloof face. Just what is he trying to pull?!
Xia Wan’an quietly inscribed a bold, capital "hehe" in her heart.
Exiting the restroom, Xia Wan’an turned on the faucet and roughly washed her hands. As she was about to pull a paper towel to dry her hands, Han Jingnian, standing next to her, intently gazed at her right hand, the one that had just held Qin Shujian’s, before comnting, "You didn’t wash it clean."
"Huh?" Xia Wan’an was startled, realizing he ant her hand wasn’t clean. She raised it, inspecting it closely, "Where isn’t it clean? I clearly washed it thoroughly..."
Ignoring Xia Wan’an’s murmurs, Han Jingnian abruptly grabbed her right hand, placed it under the faucet, squeezed so hand soap, and began washing it for her.
Xia Wan’an, her hand captive in Han Jingnian’s grip, watched him scrubbing her hand as if it were a turnip, and then it dawned on her. After eting him, the only living being her hand had touched was Qin Shujian.
Could it be that he was acting this way because she had just held hands with Qin Shujian?
The more Xia Wan’an thought, the more likely it seed.
After her hand had been washed for the third ti by Han Jingnian, unable to contain herself, she voiced her suspicion, "Han Jingnian, you aren’t getting jealous, are you?"
Han Jingnian paused the motion of reaching for a paper towel to dry Xia Wan’an’s hands.
Seeing his reaction, Xia Wan’an grew increasingly confident in her speculation, "You’re washing my hand like this because I held Qin Shujian’s hand, right?"
"Do I look like the type to get jealous easily?" Han Jingnian retorted, drying Xia Wan’an’s hands, then added disparagingly, "Just because of him? He’s enough to make jealous? Could you find a more worthy object of jealousy?"
As the sound of Han Jingnian’s words faded, he threw the paper towel in the trash and turned around to walk away.
He strode away so quickly that he disappeared from Xia Wan’an’s sight in the blink of an eye.
As he passed the CEO’s office, soone was just coming out of the pantry and encountered Han Jingnian head-on. They stopped and respectfully greeted him, "CEO Han."
Han Jingnian didn’t react, and his steps quickened. As he passed by Zhang Te’s desk, Zhang Te saw Han Jingnian’s hurried state and thought sothing urgent had co up, hastily following him.
The office door had barely closed behind Han Jingnian when it was pushed open again. He jumped, recoiling slightly and glared at Zhang Te. "Don’t you have hands? Can’t you knock?"
Caught off guard, Zhang Te quickly closed the door and after a bit, knocked gently.
"Co in." Han Jingnian’s tone was still sowhat curt, but his expression was much softer.
Zhang Te cautiously opened the door again. "CEO Han, is sothing wrong?"
Han Jingnian shot Zhang Te a strange look and didn’t respond, simply walking to his desk and sitting down.
"CEO Han, I noticed you seed to be in a rush. I thought there might be so difficult situation..."
Han Jingnian, booting up his computer, frowned at the phrase "in a rush." "Did I seem in a rush?"
Zhang Te’s heart skipped a beat, "No, no. You seed perfectly calm, composed, resourceful in the face of danger!"
