"When a girl says she never wants to see you again, is she waiting for you to appease her?"
"When a girl says she doesn’t want anything to do with you anymore, is she waiting for you to stop her from leaving?"
"Do you know how to handle these situations? Let tell you... There’s a saying that goes ’quarrels at the head of the bed, reconciliation at the end.’ Do you understand what it ans? If not, look it up on Baidu. Rember, if one reconciliation doesn’t work, try it twice, if twice doesn’t work, go for three tis..."
Having spoken her mind, Xia Wan’an stood straight, took the files from his hands and slamd them onto the conference table. She left the still-dumbfounded Han Jingnian behind and walked out of the eting room.
On returning to her office, as soon as Xia Wan’an opened the door, she saw Chi Mu standing by her desk, looking out of the floor-to-ceiling window.
Xia Wan’an, who had not expected anyone in her office at all, was startled. However, she quickly steadied herself and said, "Hasn’t anyone ever told you that it’s unethical to invade soone else’s turf?"
Chi Mu turned around, completely ignoring Xia Wan’an’s comnt. Instead, she locked her gaze onto Xia Wan’an’s face, and launched into an accusation, "You despicable and disgraceful person!"
"Miss Chi, I have no idea what you’re talking about." Being aware that Chi Mu was referring to her interruption that almost cost Chi Mu the title of the Han Family Enterprise’s top designer, Xia Wan’an purposefully feigned ignorance. After giving a harmless and non-aggressive response, she lazily strolled to her desk, picked up a bag that He Che had left there, and leisurely began to touch up her lipstick.
"Stop pretending to be clueless! How could you not know what I’m talking about?!" The more composed Xia Wan’an seed, the more furious Chi Mu got, "If it weren’t for you, I would be Han Family Enterprise’s top designer by now! You think you can beat just by pulling in the Yuerong Club? Keep dreaming!"
Xia Wan’an pretends as if Chi Mu doesn’t exist, only giving her a glance after she finished applying her lipstick and smoothed her lips confirming the color was even. She then slowly said, "Miss Chi, from what I understand, you’ve always looked down on others. You think you’re superior. You’re making a scene in my office today... Are you panicking because I pulled Yuerong Club into this?"
"Are you kidding? How could I possibly be panicking? Let tell you, soone has recently left the Yuerong Club. I’ve submitted my application, and there’s a ninety percent chance that I’ll beco a mber. When that happens, you’ll be crying!"
With a calm expression, Xia Wan’an responded, "Oh, you want to see cry? Should I cry for you now? I’m concerned that when the results co out, you’ll be the one crying and won’t have the ti to watch cry."
"You—" Chi Mu was speechless from Xia Wan’an’s retort, "Stop boasting here. Given your background, your parents, you’re not even eligible to submit an application to the Yuerong Club, let alone beat there." She sneered.
Chi Mu’s disdainful ntion of "your parents" instantly cooled Xia Wan’an’s mood. "First of all, the reason I chose the Yuerong Club is to make you lose completely and indisputably."
