After hanging up the phone, Xie Lin first visited the nurse station and sifted through a pile of docunts for a dical record. He handed it to his most reliable assistant and, after giving him so instructions, he returned to his office.
"Madam, I’m sorry to have kept you waiting..." Xie Lin began as soon as he opened the door and saw Xia Wan’an sitting on the couch.
Xia Wan’an, who had been engrossed in her phone, looked up and gave Xie Lin a warm smile, "No worries, Dr. Xie."
Xie Lin walked over to the sink, turned on the tap and began diligently scrubbing his hands, resuming their conversation before he had left to report to Han Jingnian, "Madam, regarding your pregnancy, I believe it is best to let nature take its course. Both you and Boss Han are young, you will surely have a child, so there’s no need to panic...sotis, the more anxious you are, the harder it is to conceive..."

Hearing so much from Dr. Xie, Xia Wan’an fixed her gaze on him, saying, "Dr. Xie, do you perhaps know sothing?"
Xie Lin’s hand, gripping his cup of water, visibly trembled before he hastily shook his head, "No, madam, why do you ask?"
Xia Wan’an, sensing Xie Lin’s reaction, knew she was right. She rembered when Xie Lin had perford her physical, and a sudden wave of fear washed over her. She instinctively clutched the phone in her palm tightly, wet her lips and looked Xie Lin in the eye, "Dr. Xie, my nstrual cycle has been irregular, especially in these past two years. Is there sothing wrong with ?"
"No, absolutely not!" Xie Lin shook his head vehently, his hand balling into a fist almost subconsciously.
Observing his subtle movents, Xia Wan’an was even more certain of her suspicion, "Dr. Xie, are you deliberately hiding sothing from ?"
Xie Lin opened his mouth and closed it again, unable to form words.
Xia Wan’an lowered her head, then spoke again, "Alright, Dr. Xie, I won’t trouble you. I’ll visit another hospital..."
With that, she started to stand up.
"Madam." Just as Xia Wan’an was about to walk away, Xie Lin stopped her.
"Madam, I..." Xie Lin hesitated but then seed to give up his facade, "I’m not hiding anything from you, I’m hiding it from Boss Han."
Upon hearing this, Xia Wan’an froze. She stared at Xie Lin in disbelief, finally asking in incredulity, "Han Jingnian?"
"Yes!" Xie Lin seed regretful of his confession. He motioned Xia Wan’an to sit and walked to his desk to make another call, "Bring over the information sealed in archive #1."
Shortly after hanging up, there was a knock on the door of Xie Lin’s office.
