Asleep!
It was as if Qin Shujian had been hit over the head with a hamr. It took her so ti to comprehend what Xia Wan’an had just said while she was staring at her in bewildernt.
She’d been standing there, delivering a long-winded speech, and Xia Wan’an, not only had she not listened to a single word, but she had actually fallen asleep?
Before Qin Shujian ca here, she had painstakingly organized her thoughts, she had put all her wit and skill into this, and yet, this woman didn’t even bother to contest, all she did was sleep...
Qin Shujian felt like she was punching cotton, all her power dwindling into nothing. In the grip of inexplicable frustration, she didn’t think before lifting her hand and pointing at Xia Wan’an: "You--"
Before she could finish her resentful speech, Xia Wan’an casually stretched, stood up nonchalantly and said, "Oh, you like it here? Then, it’s all yours..."
"... The air isn’t that good, anyway. It’s not really conducive to sleep. I’ll find sowhere else to sleep..."
With that, Xia Wan’an yawned, gently holding her mouth with one hand and lifting her dress with the other. She looked around in her high heels, chose a less crowded spot, and headed off.
It wasn’t until Xia Wan’an was so distance away that Qin Shujian understood what she’d ant before she left.
The air isn’t that good...Did she an her presence had polluted the air here?
She was already displeased when she saw her following Han Jingnian. She’d tried to get closer to Han Jingnian, but each ti her attempted greeting of "Mr Han" was intercepted by his annoying assistant. That’s when she saw her, fuelling her anger further, leading her to confront her. To her surprise, she had ended up more frustrated.
She couldn’t provoke Han Jingnian, and she was willing to give so face to Han Jingnian’s assistant, but who did she think she was, daring to talk to her like that... To think, she had been adored since her debut...
Qin Shujian glared viciously at Xia Wan’an, who had found a spot by the window and had sat down. Then, stomping her foot heavily, she went off to find her girlfriends.
After Xia Wan’an sat down, she checked the ti on her phone. Seeing that there was still so ti until the end of the party, she rested her head on the table and closed her eyes again.
But this ti she didn’t fall asleep. She didn’t know if it was her heightened senses but she felt soone watching her. Every ti she opened her eyes, however, she didn’t find anything amiss. It was only when she opened her eyes for the sixth ti that she finally caught the person who was looking at her.
It was a very young girl who looked a few years younger than her. The girl was wearing a white miniskirt, with dark hair hanging down her back, she looked clean and innocent.
The girl, caught staring, looked panic-stricken, as if she didn’t know what to do.
Xia Wan’an didn’t intend to scare the girl. So when she saw the girl’s reaction, she bent the corner of her mouth into a soft smile for her.
