Han Jingnian opens the door of their house, and the first thing he sees is the glowing light at the entrance.
Having been busy from morning till night, his fatigue magically dispels at this mont.
After changing his slippers, he looks around the living room for Xia Wan’an, not finding her there, he proceeds to the bedroom.
She had already gone to bed.
Han Jingnian enters the room, his movents intuitively gentle.
Standing beside the bed, seeing her sleeping face, his usually cold eyes, unknowingly even to him, becos incredibly soft.
One of her arms is sticking out of the blanket. He gently takes her wrist, and puts her hand back under the blanket.
He doesn’t imdiately let go of her hand. The soft feel of her palm revives his typically flat heart.
Looking at her sleeping face for a long while, he gingerly bends down and moves his lips closer to hers.
Just before he kisses her, she sneezes heavily in her sleep.
A spattering of saliva lands on his face. Not at all repulsed, he lowers his head further.
Just as his lips are about to touch hers, another sneeze cos, followed by her hand rubbing her nose whispering, "It stinks, so choking", then, as if extrely put off, she hides her face under the blanket.
Stinks, choking?
Han Jingnian doubts himself for a mont, then slls his suit. He detects a cloying scent.
Is she referring to this sll? He spent the whole day in the office with limited human contact. Whose perfu is this?
Han Jingnian’s eyes suddenly darken, he gently tucks Xia Wan’an in before going to the bathroom for a shower.
After washing with body wash three tis to ensure the sickly sweet sll was off him, he finally turns off the shower.
Now dressed in his ho clothes, he heads to the dining room to eat.
After clearing the dinner Xia Wan’an had left for him, he does not forget to wash all the dishes in the kitchen.
The ti is still early, so he goes to the study to continue his work.
Since a few docunts ca from Zhang Te, he checks his email while making a call to Zhang Te.

He greets her enthusiastically, inviting her to sit down and, being the perfect gentleman, passes her the nu to order first.
